Hi everyone, I’d like to know if the distance between Miami Airport and the Miami cruise embarkation port is far, and what transfer options are available. If I need to arrive a day early, are there any budget-friendly hotels near the port or the airport? Thanks in advance for all your tips! Cloclo

Hi Claudine, You’ll find the different ways to get there on my blog: https://www.escalescroisiere.fr/escale-a-miami.html. For cheap hotels, they don’t really exist in the U.S., and even less so in Miami.🙁

Hi Alain, I’m really impressed by how detailed your blog is! Thank you so much for all this information—it’s going to be super helpful. That said, I forgot to mention that I’m 79 and my husband is 86, and I’m wondering if the metro might be too difficult for us, especially since we’ll have luggage with us. To minimize fatigue, would it be better to take a taxi? Thanks again for your invaluable help! Cl,

hi there’s a shuttle that leaves from the airport and drops you off at the hotel. Otherwise, there’s a bus, but it’s really slow. As for the metro, no problem—it’s less crowded (as they say in Quebec) than Montreal’s. However, the terminal is in Downtown, and there are very few hotels in Downtown that I know of. Avoid it—it’s best to stay out of downtown at night. Most of the fairly expensive hotels are in Miami Beach.
