Quelqu'un a-t-il des adresses / bons plans pour les sorties, visites, excursions, lieux où faire des rencontres? Je serai payée tarif local donc mon budget sera plutôt limité.

tu as bien de la chance de partir pour Leon, tu vas voir c'est une ville tres tres agreable et extremement accueillante, c'est une ville universitaire donc les animations culturelles et les sorties nocturnes sont frequentes, aux alentours, les plages de la cote pacifique sont on ne peut plus tranquilles et desertes, le reve....pour le reste, tu peux aleer au cerro negro et autres volcans alentours, mais c'est mieux de tout decouvrir une fois sur place, les habitants te feront de bien meilleurs conseils que nous autres.......😉

Manque de chance, je ne connais pas bien cette région, je n'ai fait qu'y passer.
Il peut y faire assez frais à cause de l'altitude.
C'est une région historique du sandinisme.
Il y avait et doit encore y avoir beaucoup d'ONG qui y travaillent pour de multiples projets de développement.
Au point de vue balades, il y a des chutes d'eau, mais je n'y suis jamais allé. Il y a aussi des villages indigènes où est produit de l'artisanat, notament de la poterie, le plus connu est Achuapa.
Visite aussi Somoto, Somotillo et Ocotal. Si tu as le temps, pousse jusqu'à Jalapa, au nord d'Ocotal. Va à Matagalpa et à la Selva negra pour un week-end, c'est intéressant.

c'est une ville super en comparaison de Managua qui est très très décevante! les bons plans pour bouger, il y en a beaucoup... je ne suis resté à Léon que deux jours.
C'est étrange (et dommage) qu'on ne se soit pas croisés cet été à l'alliance de Leon, j'y passais quasiment toutes mes journées.
J'y ai fait un stage de maitrise FLE (français langue étrangère) pendant 3 mois et ensuite j'ai passé un mois et demi a visiter le pays.
Tu peux enseigner a l'alliance de Leon, je crois d'ailleurs qu'ils recherchent actuellement un prof. Par contre, tu es payé tarif local, c'est a dire 55 cordobas l'heure de cours. ils peuvent peut être te proposer jusqu'à 12h de cours. Si tu es intéressé, tu peux m'envoyer un mail et je te mettrai en contact avec eux.

Je ne connais pas trop les hébergements de Leon car j'habitais chez l'habitant, quant aux autres endroits au Nica, c'était plutôt des trucs pas chers et sommaires.
A Leon, j'ai bcp entendu parlé de l'hotel colonial et l'hotel america, mais je n'y suis jamais allée et j'imagine que c'est plus sympa de trouver une guest house.
Sinon, parmi mes coups de coeur, j'ai adoré sur Little Corn Island les bungalows de Derrick's. Ce sont des bungalows de différents standing, en face de la mer turquoise. C'est très tranquille, par contre il faut marcher un peu pour y accéder (enfin, comme tous les autres endroits de l'île car ya pas de voitures là-bas, l'île est trop petite). Et la cuisine y est délicieuse. Cependant, je te conseille de ne pas y rester trop longtemps, on s'ennuye rapidement, sauf si t'es un amateur de plongée.
Autre coup de coeur c'est le Sabalo's Lodge sur le rio san juan, juste avant d'arriver a San Carlos. Je ne me suis pas arrêtée a cet hotel mais je l'ai regretté, ça avait l'air super tranquille, avec des petites cabanes sur pilotis au bord du rio. Par contre, c'est comme Little Corn Island, c'est très calme comme endroit, faut pas y rester des jours car il n'y a rien d'autre à faire que s'y reposer... C'est un peu reculé et difficile d'accès à cause de la fréquence des bateaux, mais ça vaut vraiment la peine de remonter le rio en lancha. C'est impressionnant, surtout le matin, vers 5h, quand la brume et le soleil se lèvent et que la foret s'éveille, les oiseaux comment à chanter.... enfin, un moment vraiment magique.

J'ai séjourné au " Colonial " à Leon, vraiment sympa avec beaucoup d'espace et des fauteuils à bascule de partout autour d'un magnifique patio ..... vraiment trés bien et de chambres à tous les prix puisqu'ils hébergent même des étudiants tout en haut sur la terrasse ( pas sur .... 😉 ) à des prix modiques dans des petites chambres ..... juste éviter les chambres au rez de chaussée qui donnent prés de la petite cuisine pour les petits déjeuners, car le matin de bonne heure un peu dur .....
Sinon Leon, bien que moins sympa que Granada, m'a beaucoup plu mais question vie nocturne ..... 😕 à 21H il n'y a plus rien à y faire et il faut quasiment aller se coucher, dur pour moi mais bon ......
Concernant le Rio San Juan, je confirme et j'en parle dans mon carnet de voyage, c'est absolument fabuleux et séjourner quelques jours à El Castillo à " l'albergue de El Castillo " procure des sensations de bout du monde, et de plus la forêt alentour est vraiment magnifique à découvrir en compagnie d'un guide ..... et c'est vrai que reprendre la pirogue du matin et apercevoir entre les brumes qui se déchirent les oiseaux et les singes se réveiller, c'est le paradis sur terre .....
Ometepe avec ses deux volcans est également un autre grand moment dés lors que l'on a passé l'examen de la traversée avec la Lancha 🤪, et moi je m'y verrais bien y passer quelques mois .....
Le Nicaragua, en dehors du Barcelo bien entendu ..... 😉, c'est un pays fantastique à découvrir et encore vierge de tourisme de masse ......

Est-il vraiment utile de se munir d'un "sac à viande" si l'on choisit des hébergements moyenne gamme + ...pour autant qu'il y en est ?!
Que penses-tu que l'on puisse visiter en 3 semaines, sans vouloir trop en faire...Nous prévoyons dans notre budget 2/3 vols avions...au cas où...
Concernant les voyages en Bus, y a t-il des Bus comfortables pour les longues liaisons...?
Est-il prudent de louer une petite voiture ? Quel en est le coût par semaine ?
J'y suis allé en Mars et il faisait trés chaud, donc pas de souci n'emportez que du léger .... pas la peine de prendre un sac à viande pour les " moyennes gammes " celà reste propre ..... et de même pour les longues liaisons, celà dépend desquelles, mais pour ceux du côté de la côte pacifique pas trop de problème, mais ça reste toujours local ...... 😉
Je ne pense pas que ce soit nécessaire de louer une voiture, et celà incluerait à chaque fois de trouver un hôtel avec un garage ou une cour pour la garer afin d'éviter les vols ..... donc à bien réfléchir ....
Concernant les sites intéressants à visiter, en cliquant sur mon profil tu pourras aller sur mon carnet de voyage au Nicaragua et avoir ainsi un aperçu de mon séjour là bas, et si tu as d'autres questions j'y répondrais bien volontiers ....
Pour info, on a loué un 4*4, et ça nous est revenu à 140 dollars par personne pour une semaine (on était 4...location à Managua, il faut savoir que c'est pas possible partout..). c'est relativement cher, mais c'est extremement pratique pour se déplacer et ne pas être dépendant des bus! ça permet de voir beaucoup plus de choses, de rencontrer beaucoup plus de monde, le stop est très répandu vu que les voitures sont peu nombreuses.. (souvenir extra de faire le tour d'Ometepe, s'arrêter quand bon te semble...). bref, cher mais un souvenir inoubiable!

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
