Bonjour, nous sommes un petit groupe de 6 personnes qui partons pour Montréal le 30 août 2018 de l'aéroport de Marseille. Vol direct opéré par Air Canada Rouge sur Boeing 767-300ER. Est-ce que quelqu'un a déjà effectué ce vol avec cette compagnie low-cost ? En terme de voyage, c'est mieux d'avoir la possibilité de ne pas faire d'escale, et les prix sont quand même intéressants. Cependant je lis pas mal d'avis négatifs sur internet 😐 mais pas eu vraiment le choix, en vols directs de Marseille (entre avril et octobre) il n'existe qu'Air Transat ou Air Canada Rouge. Les repas à bord sont-il payants ? Plein d'infos contradictoires à ce sujet... Merci pour vos témoignages ! 😎
Si tu consulte les site de la compagnie même tu auras la bonne information ce que tu ne semble pas avoir fait pour écrire "plein d'information contraires"

Air Transat cie national très bien. Repas gratuit . Je prend régulièrement cette cie de Montréal vers différentes villes d'Europe

Merci pour ta réponse, en effet le mieux est d'aller consulter l'info à la source. Sur le site d'Air Canada il parle bien de repas offert, j'avais juste un doute entre les vols nationaux et internationaux.
Quant à la qualité des prestations, je suis consciente du rapport qualité/prix et ne m'attend pas à un service 4 étoiles. Mais certains avis laissent perplexe... peut-être des personnes qui n'ont pas l'habitude de voyager ou sont particulièrement (trop) exigeants ? Merci à toi.😉

C'est mon avis. Personnellement je ne tiens pas a payer un billet qui ferait qu'un meilleur repas me coûterais $50.
Et pour vous les européens , vous serez toujours déçu , avec raison, de la bouffe nord Américaine. Moi j'y suis habitué et je me régale comme un roi lors de mes voyages en Europe Donc vous êtes prévenu

Je confirme, la France est LE pays de la meilleure bouffe ! 🙂 En principe nous voyageons à l'étranger en sachant bien que les autres pays auront du mal à rivaliser 😛 (ceci dit j'ai pu manger de l'excellente viande à New-York...). Sans mentionner de fait précis il est impossible de commenter et rare sont les cie aériennes qui n'ont que des clients satisfaits.
Personnellement, voyageant toujours en classe économique, je ne m'attends qu'à me rendre à destination en sécurité et à l'heure.
Pour le reste, je n'ai pas d'attente donc je ne suis jamais déçu.

j'ai fait ce vol en juillet/aout 2017 , j'en ai pas un super souvenir , effectivement on a un plateau repas inclus dans le prix qui n'est pas terrible mais perso pour moi ce n'est pas important , par contre les sieges n'étaient pas confortables , mais bon de marseille avec un vol direct il n'y a pas beaucoup de solutions......et globalement le vol était à l'heure
j'y suis retourné en septembre avec la lufthansa ils n'ont pas fait de miracles non plus 😎

J'ai pris Air Canada Rouge en décembre pour le Mexique. Le service offert était tout simple. On peut acheter des repas chauds ou froids. On sert des breuvages non alcoolisés gratuits et pour le vin c'est payant.
Si vous voulez plus de luxe, il y a les sièges en avant tout confort, tout service mais vous paierez le prix.
J'imagine que pour l'Europe c'est le même service.

Air Canada Rouge est à Air Canada ce que Joon est à Air France. Précision importante ne pas comparer Air Canada et Air Canada Rouge, les prestations à bord sont différentes, notamment en ce qui concerne l'IFE (les ''ptites télés''). Inexistantes sur Air Canada Rouge mais si tu disposes d'une tablette tu peux télécharger une application gratuite qui te permettra de regarder des films à bord. Côté bouffe tu auras un plateau repas gratuit, bon c'est pas de la haute gastronomie mais comme je dis souvent, si on veut aller au restaurant, ben on va au restau et pas dans un avion 😉

Pas du tout comme je l'ai mentionné précédemment , pour les vols transatlantiques les repas son inclus et gratuits , ce qui n'est pas le cas pour les vols continentals.

Air Canada et Air Canada Rouge mentionnent sur leur site les prestations et services suivant les vols / destinations et je ne crois pas que ce soit nouveau que pour un vol de 3 heures par exemple , il n'y ait pas de repas.

Salut,
Lyon est (pour le moment) la seule destination d'Air Canada (donc à l'année) alors qu'Air Canada Rouge dessert, comme tu l'as précisé, NIce et Marseille en saison. Elle tente une percée du monopole d'Air Transat. Quelques chose me dit que Air Canada Rouge va s'attaquer à d'autres villes de provinces dans le futur...

Ce qui me surprend dans la stratégie d'Air Canada à Lyon c'est d'avoir pris la place d'Air Transat (horaires et prix) jusqu'en 2017 et puis, en 2018, de se replier sur des horaires impraticables (départ vers 7h et 10h du matin, les 3 heures de prècaution ètant impossibles avec les transports en commun) et des prix supérieurs.
Air Transat qui partait de Lyon vers 11h40 se trouve poussé définitivement à 14h00 (mais ce n'est pas gênant). Je retrouve donc Air Transat cette année.

Elle est dans la logique du concept hub a Montreal ou pour offrir un max de possibilités de continuité il faut positionner les horaires sur cette offre . Le vol LYS/YUL n'ayant pas pour objectif premier le trafic point a point qui est depuis un moment dans les mains de Air transat

De toutes façons l'horaire d'Air Transat reste le plus pratique pour un voyage touristique : partis à 14:00 nous arrivons à un peu plus de 16:00 locale sur Montréal ; cela fait donc presque 17:00 en ville, pile pour récupérer les clefs de la location.

Comme l'a précisé Michelzen (et il est bien plus ''spécialiste'' que moi 😛), Air Canada développe ses vols depuis l'Europe avec comme but ''d'alimenter'' ses vols entre Montréal et les USA, en donannt comme argument le passage facilité de l'immigration américaine à l'aéroport de Montréal (plutôt que dans un aéroport américain). Maintenant c'est sûr que les horaires au départ de Lyon sont peut être moins pratiques (sauf peut être pour la clientèle d'affaire, et on sait que c'est cette clientèle qui ''rentabilise'' une ligne (une des raisons pour laquelle l'A380 d'Air France n'a pas fait long feu sur CDG-YUL 😕)

si je ne réserve pas de place payante.. puis je avoir une chance d'être à coté de mon conjoint.. plutôt sur une place sur le coté à deux?
Est il possible de choisir à l'enregistrement gratuitement 24 h avant?

Si tu réserves les 2 places sur un même dossier (ce qui devrait être le cas) tu seras à côté de ton mari! Maintenant rien n'assure que tu auras une place dans la section ''deux sièges côte à côte''. Si vraiment tu veux être dans cette section, pas le choix va falloir que tu payes. Car 24heures avant le départ, peu de chance que ces places soient encore disponibles.
24 heures avant l'enregistrement tu choisis gratuitement dans le ''pool'' de places qui restent disponibles!!
Donc si tu veux vraiment être dans la section ''deux sièges'' t'es mieux de payer!

il y a 3 ans nous avons fait un AR Vancouver Honolulu sur Air Canada Rouge. Nous avions un acheminement depuis l'Europe par Air Canada, et nous n'avions pas tilté sur la différence avant de partir. Et bien c'est assez bof bof. Le personnel navigant ressemblait à une équipe d'adolescents en goguette, aucun de parlait français: la personne qui lisait les texte ne comprenait tellement pas ce qu'elle disait, qu'elle prononçait n'importe comment, au point que c'en était incompréhensible et comique, pas de service de repas si ce n'est payant. Personnellement cela ne nous a pas dérangé, nous attendions simplement d'être transporté si possible en sécurité d'un point A à un point B, et je parle anglais couramment. Si vous voulez être chouchouté, ce n'est pas la bonne compagnie, si vous n'attendez qu'un transport et prenez vos sandwiches tout ira bien.

Vancouver Honolulu est considéré comme un ''intra Amérique du Nord'' donc pas de bouffe servie (sauf en payant). Dans le cas de Marseille-Montréal, c'est un transatlantique donc la bouffe est gratuite (du moins pour l'instant). Maintenant pour le reste Air Canada Rouge est la filiale Low Cost d'Air Canada donc ....

Air Canada Rouge... c'est vraiment low cost. J'espère que le billet n'est vraiment pas cher, quand on s'y attend on n'a pas d'attente. Le plus difficile c'est l'inconfort des sièges. Je n'a pas d'attente particulière pour les repas. Même Air Canada n'est plus la ligne arienne de choix (ou j'ai été malchanceuse), exemple les vols aller-retour Italie l'an dernier, il n'y avait pas de divertissements individuels à bord et choix très limité. Quand on le sait, on peut se préparer (il faut télécharger l'application d'Air Canada en quittant le Canada) ou télécharger films et autres sur nos appareils électroniques. Pour ma part, je préfère (et oui) Air Transat.

J'ai pris l'an dernier en Aout le vol MRS-YUL par Air Canada Rouge, surtout car le vol etait direct et que c'est finalement un tres gros avantage de ne pas faire une escale à CDG (surtout au retour : je desteste le matin au terminal 2F apres un vol transatlantique)
Mon avis est peut etre un peu tronqué car on avait pris les places en classe Privilege, qui est a peu pres l'equivalent du premium eco chez AF .(D'ailleurs les prix etaient a peu pres equivalents au prix d'un vol AF en premium)
Autrement rien à dire de particulier: L'avion etait correct même si il n'etait pas neuf Le personnel etait jeune, pas tres tres pro, mais sympa et plein de bonne volonté. Les films, sans grand choix, etaient dispo sur une tablette, fournie gratuitement en premium, mais payante en eco.
Une bonne experience finalement.

Oui le vrai intérêt est d'avoir un vol direct à partir de Marseille ! Gain de temps et de fatigue, moins de stress pour la perte éventuelle des bagages.... Certes il faut se contenter des compagnies aériennes qui le propose, et entre Air Transat ou Air Canada Rouge la différence ne doit pas être énorme... Peut-être sur Air Transat y a-t-il des écrans individuels sur les sièges ? J'avoue avoir été un peu déçue qu'Air Canada Rouge ne l'offre pas, surtout pour un vol de plus de 8h 😐... et suis pas certaine qu'avec l'application le wifi fonctionne au top sur les tablettes... déjà que dans le train ça marche pas terrible, bref ! 😄 Si quelqu'un peut témoigner là-dessus, merci... Je compte prendre ma tablette perso (Samsung), peut-être ça fonctionne mieux sur les tablettes que loue la compagnie ?

Dans notre groupe une personne a un bagage cabine entre 56 et 57 cm de haut tout compris.
Air Canada Rouge demande 55cm maxi, peuvent-il l'obliger à mettre ce bagage en soute pour 1,5 cm de plus ??

Si le bagage cabine entre dans le gabarit bagages...il n'y a pas de problème. Enfin...jusqu'à ce que les compartiments bagages soient pleins. Dans ce cas ils redescendent gratos dans la soute. Relativement rare. Donc ne montez pas le dernier à bord. Dans le cas contraire c'est plus risqué.
Entre 56 et 57 cm de haut tout compris c'est supérieur à .55cm maxi, donc ils peuvent l'obliger à mettre ce bagage en soute pour 1,5 cm de plus .
Certes la dimension ''limite'' est 55 cm mais il est quand même peu probable pour qu'on envoie un bagage en soute pour 1 cm (j'ai jamais eu à mettre mon bagage dans un gabarit sur Air Canada (du moins en transatlantique)).
Maintenant on peut toujours avoir de mauvaise surprise, mais je pense que c'est peu probable!
Des ''Grands voyageurs'' d'Air Canada pourrait sûrement nous donner leur avis!

Since it came into force, Regulation 261/2004 of the European Parliament and Council, which defines air passenger rights, has faced fierce resistance from airlines, backed by IATA (the association representing almost all passenger airlines).
Beyond the airlines' often abusive—and even frequently bad-faith—resistance to passenger rights, IATA has been lobbying EU institutions for years, with the Council paying close attention for a long time.
As a result, the Council and the Commission have been proposing revisions to Regulation 261/2004 for years that are particularly unfavorable to passengers. The latest attempt nearly eliminated the right to compensation for delays of 3 hours or more upon arrival at the final destination.
However, since this is a regulation of both the European Parliament AND the Council, the two bodies had to agree.
But the European Parliament has always stood firm, consistently responding that passenger rights must be preserved.
After 11 years of struggle, it seems likely that we’re finally nearing the end of the match between the European Commission, the Council (the 27 heads of state or government), and the European Parliament.
Indeed, the Commission and the European Parliament have agreed on a text that will be debated again on Monday, July 6, 2026, with a vote scheduled for July 7, 2026. It’s very likely that this text, which would come into force in a year, will be adopted.
The main changes would be as follows: - Families with children will no longer be forced to pay to sit together on planes; - A flight will be considered canceled (not just delayed) if it departs more than one hour late; - Right to compensation for arrival at the final destination if the delay exceeds 3 hours (no longer "3 hours OR more"). Since it came into force, Regulation 261/2004 of the European Parliament and Council, which defines air passenger rights, has faced fierce resistance from airlines, backed by IATA (the association representing almost all passenger airlines).
Beyond the airlines' often abusive—and even frequently bad-faith—resistance to passenger rights, IATA has been lobbying EU institutions for years, with the Council paying close attention for a long time.
As a result, the Council and the Commission have been proposing revisions to Regulation 261/2004 for years that are particularly unfavorable to passengers. The latest attempt nearly eliminated the right to compensation for delays of 3 hours or more upon arrival at the final destination.
However, since this is a regulation of both the European Parliament AND the Council, the two bodies had to agree.
But the European Parliament has always stood firm, consistently responding that passenger rights must be preserved.
After 11 years of struggle, it seems likely that we’re finally nearing the end of the match between the European Commission, the Council (the 27 heads of state or government), and the European Parliament.
Indeed, the Commission and the European Parliament have agreed on a text that will be debated again on Monday, July 6, 2026, with a vote scheduled for July 7, 2026. It’s very likely that this text, which would come into force in a year, will be adopted.

Of course, there’s huge pressure from European agencies, which are forced to disrupt their plans or even cancel trips because of this. Personally, I’ve got a trip planned for February 2026 to the southern parks in Tanzania, so I’ll be keeping an eye on how this develops. Do any of you have updates? Thanks!

Before, they used to prioritize major airlines, but now it’s small airlines from small countries—companies with terrible ratings and borderline safety concerns. I even just noticed this note for a Tanzania trip: "We inform you that the domestic flight segment in Tanzania included in your trip is operated by an airline listed on the European Union’s list of air carriers subject to an operating ban within the European Union. This ban only applies to European Union airspace, meaning this airline is not permitted to take off, land, or fly over European airspace. However, this airline is authorized to operate in Tanzania."

We need assistance for check-in and boarding/disembarking (my husband is a mobility-impaired traveler who uses a cane and/or a walker). We’ve done a cruise return from Dubai to Paris CDG before in 2016, with a layover in Istanbul, but we booked the transfer and return flight with COSTA. For our current plan, it would be with Celestyal, which doesn’t offer round-trip flights from Paris to Dubai. Should we book very far in advance, or is a few months before departure enough (4/6 months)? We’re thinking of arriving the day before the ship departs, so we’d need to stay overnight in Dubai—either on the way there or for the return flight, depending on the flight schedules. Could you recommend a hotel not too far from the airport, and how to get to the port from the airport?

So, I’d love to know: how strict are EasyJet’s ID checks? Do they enforce validity rules strictly and refuse boarding if the ID isn’t valid? Or is it more of a luck-of-the-draw situation?

The problem is that the smallest suitcase I have (which is supposed to be designed specifically for cabin size standards, according to the manual) has the following dimensions: 55x37x21, so it's just 1 cm over (wheels included) on one of the measurements.
I wasn’t too worried at first, but I’ve read dozens of stories about people’s misadventures and the hassles they’ve had with RyanAir.
Since I don’t want my suitcase to end up in the hold (that would waste time picking it up when I’m already arriving late and need to get to the city center), nor do I want to pay an extra fee (apparently 50 €) for the outbound and return flights for just 1 centimeter—especially since I paid for the "priority+" option and I’m not exactly rolling in money—I’d love some advice.
Have any of you been in the same situation? I’ve read that with this airline, they check bags in templates (testing them in different positions) and are completely uncompromising. I tried contacting customer service, who, as luck would have it, "don’t handle this kind of request," and a rep I spoke to wasn’t much help.

When I run searches on Skyscanner, I see that only Lufthansa has flights to Seoul with just one stop. Air France doesn’t show up, even though I thought the French airline served Seoul? I can’t even log into the Air France website—it keeps glitching.

I’d like to return to Uzbekistan next April for 10 days with my husband to visit our son who lives there. We went last July and I bought the flight tickets (direct flight from Paris on Uzbekistan Airways) about 2 months in advance at very reasonable prices. I’ve been checking for late April for a few weeks now, and the tickets are much more expensive and keep rising. I can’t figure out if the prices are going up because it’s still a bit too early to buy and they’ll likely drop if the planes aren’t full, or if it’s because the period is actually in high demand. For reference, last year I bought my son’s ticket on May 30th for a departure on June 3rd—just 3 days later—at a very low price that didn’t budge at all.
Just in case, does anyone know the pricing trends for this airline and can advise me? Should I wait or not?

My wife bought a flight ticket (Lucky Air) under her Thai maiden name and was issued a Chinese visa on her new Thai passport but with her French married name (due to administrative requirements). She was denied boarding by the airline in Bangkok for the flight to Kunming—resulting in the loss of our round-trip flight tickets, including mine since we were traveling together—despite presenting both passports at the airline counter at the same time.

Way cheaper than Air France, for example.
That said, the reviews I’ve seen online aren’t great.

I can't seem to find flights between the Cape Verde islands on the airline's website. No matter the date or route, I always get the same response: "no flights on this date." See the photo. Would anyone have an explanation? Surely not all flights are fully booked in July?

Has anyone managed to get a refund from Oman Air?
After a delayed flight, we missed our connecting flight to get home!! At midnight, the flight attendant booked us on a flight to Nice via Munich, even though we were in Munich and wanted to get back to Nice... Too tired from the trip, we didn’t notice the mistake!! The next day, of course, the booking wasn’t valid!! We had to pay again for the flight back to Nice... I’m really struggling!! I think they’re giving me the runaround!! I’ve sent several emails, tried Messenger and WhatsApp, but the only responses I get are: "We need to investigate!! We’ll get back to you in 15 days!!" It’s been over a month!!
I just sent a registered letter (LRAR) to their office at Paris Charles de Gaulle, which is still open!!
Do you have any other suggestions for me?

Sri Lanka has announced it could run out of fuel in the coming weeks if the Strait of Hormuz remains blocked. The government has implemented a mandatory four-day workweek to save oil, and there are long lines at gas stations due to fears of an early shortage.
In Vietnam, the government has warned all airlines that flights will need to be reduced due to a lack of kerosene. The country imports two-thirds of its jet fuel from China and Thailand, but both countries have now banned exports out of fear of domestic shortages.
The state is asking airlines to plan ahead and park aircraft to drastically reduce operations, starting with domestic flights and then international ones. International carriers will also need to cut back on their rotations.
This will begin in the coming days. 🙁

First question: Will my checked baggage be transferred automatically? I have a single ticket from KTI to YUL (Air Canada ticket—KTI-ICN operated by Asiana (codeshare) and ICN-YUL by Air Canada).
Second question: I saw it’s possible to join free guided tours (Airport Transit Tour). What do you think of this kind of service? And is my "actual" layover time (accounting for security checks, check-in, etc.) enough to do one of these tours?

I'm heading to Namibia next May. I'm planning to take a first flight from Paris to Johannesburg with Air France, departing at 11:20 PM and arriving at 11:05 AM in Johannesburg. Then a second flight from Johannesburg to Windhoek at 3:25 PM with South African Airways.
Four hours between the two flights seems enough to catch my connection, but a friend told me I should maybe take the 5:30 PM flight instead because I need to go through immigration, collect my luggage, and check in again. Apparently, I have to do this because I bought the two tickets separately (it's actually much cheaper).
What do you think?
Also, in terms of South African airlines, which one do you think is the most reliable between South African Airways and Airlink?

We’re a family of four traveling together to Seoul, with two separate bookings.
Our original itinerary was: Madrid → Doha → Seoul (March 23–24)
The issue is that our entire outbound flight was canceled, and the airline simply rescheduled the Madrid → Doha leg. Now we’re left with an incomplete journey, with no solution to reach our final destination (Seoul).
Since then:
- Can’t modify flights online (technical error every time) - Can’t get help via chat or WhatsApp - Phone support is unreachable, and the usual French number isn’t working right now
We don’t want a refund. We just want to be rerouted to Seoul, as our original ticket promised.
We’re flexible:
- On dates (we can leave on March 21 or 22 instead of the 23rd) - On the itinerary (different layovers if needed)
Have any of you dealt with this before? Do you know how to unlock a booking in this case or get a rerouting? We’re considering going straight to the airport to resolve it at the Qatar Airways counter....

We just received an email from Volotea saying our flight time has changed (by more than 2 hours).
The email states "you can request a free date change."
If I change the date, will the flight price stay the same as the original price, or will I have to pay the difference?
Specifically: Our flight on the 7th is 46.25 €, and the one on the 8th is 92.51 €. If we switch to the 8th, how much will we pay?
When I request the date change to the 8th, it says "No additional fees."
