Nous avons déterminer ce voyage en nous basant sur ce que proposent les tours opérateurs mais nous allons l'organiser seuls donc tous vos conseils et itinéraires sont les bienvenus.
Il s'agit d'un voyage essentiellement routier avec visites des points de vue principaux ou vous prévoyez quand même aussi quelques randonnées dans les parcs nationaux ?
A priori on est sur un trip moto pour voir les points de vue principaux avec une journée de repos à mi parcours à Moab et une journée pour visiter San Francisco.
Vu les distances journalières je me pense pas qu'il nous soit possible de faire de la randonnee dans les parcs à moins que l'on prévoit quelque chose pendant la journée de repos à Moab.
Cela me paraît être une bonne idée à creuser ce que je vais faire pendant les longues journées d'hiver.
Pour l'heure je suis en train de regarder les itinéraires entre les différentes étapes pour essayer de voir le maximum de choses.
J'étudie également la possibilité de réserver les hotels en même temps que les motos chez Eaglerider.
Votre rêve bien légitime de rouler en moto aux États -Unis vous fait faire de très longues heures sur la route.
Il est possible qu'après 1 semaine vous serez rassasier ( ou vos passagères le seront ) vous aimerez probablementvisiter plus et rouler moins. Sans vous éloigner de votre parcours ou prendre trop de temps vous pourriez arpenter à pied les petites villes que vous traverserez et visiter des boutiques que vous ne verrez pas chez vous. Sentir l'ambiance de ces villes.

Comme c'est notre premier voyage aux USA on a regarder ce que proposaient les agences de voyage et on a plus ou moins calquer nos étapes sur ce qu'ils proposaient mais tout est modifiable sauf si on prend les hotels avec les motos. Il est vrai que cela contraint beaucoup mais le tarif proposé est vraiment intéressant et je me dis que meme si on veut changer 1 ou 2 hotels sans être remboursé cela resterait toujours intéressant.
En çe qui concerne le fait d'être rassasier au bout d'une semaine je pense que cela devrait aller car nous avons l'habitude de faire un voyage tous les étés de 3500 à 5000 kms ( Corse, Sardaigne, Portugal, Espagne, Maroc ).

Je suis d'accord avec ce propos. D'autant plus que mi-mai à début juin, il n'y a pas autant de monde en congé sur la route alors de la place il y'en a partout. À l'exception peut-être à l'entrée des Parcs comme Moab ou Yosemite où il vaut mieux réserver deux jours à l'avance.
Je suis bien d'accord avec cette affirmation mais dans notre cas le tarif était vraiment intéressant ce qui fait que l'on n'hésitera pas à modifier quelques étapes si l'envie nous prend.

Regardez les hôtels proposés, comparez avec d'autres disop (Voir sur GOOGLE ce qui est dispo)et comparez avec le prix sur le site de l'hotel en direct.

Juste un détail, à la place de Flagstaff je m'arrêterais pour la nuit à Williams sur la 66 (et proche de Flagstaff). Une jolie petite ville toute indiquée pour les bikers avec son Cruiser's Cafe (vous pouvez regarder mon carnet Sturgis hot summer 2015 avec entre autres des photos de ce lieu).

Ce serait interessant de ns dire quels hôtels vs ont été conseillés.
En general, j'ai un peu peur des hôtels conseillés par les agences de voyage : ce ne sont pas forcement les meilleurs ou les mieux placés.
BOOKING et autres n'ont pas l'exhaustif des hôtels dispo dans un lieu...
C'est bien connu les TO proposent des hôtels assez loin des points d'intérêts dans un but "d'économie" (de profit donc) mais j'espère que nos voyageurs en moto ici présents vont échapper à ce système.

Des que j'ai la liste précise des hotels réservés je ferai un comparatif avec les tarifs des sites des hotels et la je verrai bien si c'etait une bonne affaire ou pas et je pourrai vous faire un retour
Bon on verra bien la localisation précise et la qualité des hotels retenus par Eaglerider mais je ne suis pas trop inquiet car même si on n'est pas dans un endroit digne d'intérêt personnellement après une bonne journée de roulage moto chargés comme des mulets sur une moto de plus de 400kg, une bonne douche, un bon repas suffisent à mon bonheur pour reprendre la route le lendemain apres une bonne nuit

Entièrement d'accord sur votre opinion sur la chambre;
MAIS, les TO ne regardent que la commission qu'ils vont avoir, et on peut trouver mieux pour aussi cher.
Oui j'en suis bien conscient mais la pour 16 nuits d'hôtels par rapport à la location de la moto seule, en prenant la moto + les hotels cela revient à 1004 $ soit 62,75$ par nuit soit un peu plus de 55€.
A ce prix la on ne trouve pas beaucoup d'hôtels, maintenant j'attend d'avoir la liste pour me rendre compte.
Bon cette fois si le site dés sont jetés et je viens d'avoir La liste des hotels retenus par Eaglerider.
Effectivement il y a du bon et du moins bon, par contre au niveau tarif c'est vraiment pas mal du tout.
J'ai repris la liste des hotels retenus et réservés par Eaglerider et j'ai regardé le tarif propose par booking aux meme dates.
Au total j'arrive à 1850€ sans les taxes. Comparé aux 1000€ avec taxes que nous coûtent les réservations faites par Eaglerider on est quasiment à moitié prix.

😎Lorsque sur la route, j'utilise beaucoup Hotwire. La qualité promise est toujours là. Le problème est qu'il faille payer avant de savoir l'identité de l'hôtel. Peu sont à l'aise avec ce genre de formule. Mais jusqu'ici, je n'ai jamais été trompé sur la classification des lieux. Je suis membre Choice Hotels avec certains privilèges. Mais plusieurs fois je me suis retrouvé dans un de leurs hôtels avec Hotwire à 60% du prix sur le site de Choice et ce, malgré mes privilèges.
De toute façon, en road trip à motocyclette, je ne reste que trop peu de temps dans un endroit pour profiter des lieux adéquatement. Piscine, salle d'entraînement et le reste, rarement puis-je les utiliser pour justifier le prix demandé. À cet égard, Hotwire est parfait pour dénicher les meilleurs prix pour un lit et une douche propres à la dernière minute.

August 1, 2026, will mark a somewhat special milestone: 5 years on the road.
We left Switzerland on August 1, 2021 with a simple idea: let chance decide our direction. We placed a bottle of wine on a world map, spun it... and it chose our first destination.
A year later, when we arrived in Morocco, we faced a new choice: continue toward Africa or head to Asia. This time, a tarot card game made the decision. Since then, we’ve tried to keep this journey as open to the unexpected as possible.
Today, that adds up to about 120,000 km, 46 countries, and over 1,800 days on the road—mostly by motorcycle, but also by sailboat, train, bus, hitchhiking, or on foot when adventure calls.
Our guiding thread isn’t just the motorcycle, but service exchanges. Instead of simply passing through countries, we try to stop regularly to lend a hand to the people we meet. So far, that’s about 600 days of volunteering.
Over the years, we’ve:
renovated a house in Croatia
made earth bricks in the Moroccan desert
helped sail a boat through the Greek islands
looked after houses, dogs, horses, a camel... and lots of other animals
worked at a street art festival in Morocco
created videos for local associations and projects
worked the grape harvest on the Tibetan plateau
been accredited as "media" for the World Nomad Games in Central Asia
Some of the moments that have stuck with us the most include six months in China, a night spent on the Great Wall, the Pamir Highway, the Silk Road, three months in Taiwan, and the incredible encounters in the mountains of Central Asia.
We travel on Falkor, our lucky dragon—a 2014 BMW F800GS that’s been with us since the start and is starting to have some great stories of its own.
While we share our adventure on Instagram, Polarsteps, and YouTube, that’s not why we’re here. The forum’s rules about promotion are clear, and I totally get them. If I’m finally taking the time to write, it’s mostly because after five years on the road, I thought our experience might be useful to other travelers.

I’m planning a motorcycle road trip to Armenia and Georgia in September 2026 or May 2027. I’m looking for one or more riders (male or female) who’d like to explore these countries with me.
Along the way, we’ll visit Cappadocia, the capitals Yerevan, Tbilisi, Sofia, Skopje, and other cities—we can finalize the route and roadbook later.
This trip requires experience with long motorcycle journeys, as we’ll cover around 7,000 km over 5 or 6 weeks (or more, depending on sightseeing and time spent).
I don’t expect dozens of applicants, since motorcycle riders are few and far between on this forum, but I’m putting this out there anyway.
I’m starting to think about a trip that’s really close to my heart: Algeria by motorcycle, specifically the southern part of the country. It’d be for January 2025, and I’ve got two main questions:
Is it possible for an individual on a motorcycle to travel freely, outside of any organized tour, or does the regulation require some kind of supervision in the Algerian Sahara region?
Is the Hoggar massif accessible by road or by (rideable) tracks?
Beyond the official recommendations, I’m really looking for your firsthand experiences.

Why not explore the Peloponnese!
I’m not particularly drawn to museums, ruins, or monuments.
I want to experience local life—small villages, seaside spots, beaches, and the interior if the landscapes are extraordinary.
Ideally, coming from Athens, I’d take a bus or train to get as close as possible to a starting point, then rent a scooter (125cc) to explore by taking secondary roads or even coastal paths. I’d stay in 2-3 places for a few days each to discover their surroundings.

What do you think would be the ideal itinerary?
From Athens, the best option would be to take either a flight or a bus to Kalamata. Rent a scooter and head either west or east. Is there a tertiary road (very lightly trafficked) or a path where I can ride slowly, take it easy, and enjoy the scenery without being bothered by traffic? I’d like to go all the way to Monemvasia, still hugging the coast. I need to find a way to avoid returning to Kalamata to drop off the scooter and catch a flight—maybe a small town where the train stops so I can head back to Athens.

I’ve got 15 days off in June and I’m pretty undecided about where to go for a motorcycle road trip. Two strong desires are pulling me in different directions: Corsica or Norway.
Corsica has been a dream of mine for a long time: legendary roads, stunning landscapes, a unique vibe, and the perfect mix of sea and mountains. At the same time, I’m wondering if 2 weeks might be *too much* for Corsica—risking feeling like I’ve seen it all too quickly, especially on a bike.
Since I also have an extra week free in May, I could use that specifically for Corsica. Maybe splitting it into two trips would make more sense? If so, which routes or regions would be the most interesting to plan for a 7-day trip?
On the other hand, Norway is *super* appealing. The landscapes look incredible, totally different from anything I’ve experienced, and it’d be a real “wow” trip. I know 15 days is still short for such a vast country. Getting all the way to the North Cape seems pretty much impossible in that time, but I’m curious about what realistic routes could be planned.
So I’m wondering:
Is it better to save Norway for next year, take 3 weeks off, and do it *properly*?
Or are 15 days enough for a first amazing taste of the country?
I’d love to hear about your experiences—whether it’s Corsica (ideal duration, routes) or Norway (what’s realistic in 2 weeks on a bike).

Hello! We’re planning a motorcycle trip that will include a visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau in June 2026.
We’re unsure (still debating) whether we should stay at a hotel on-site and get to the memorial with an Uber (leaving our bikes at the hotel) and book a guided tour, or base ourselves in Kraków and take a tour that includes transport.
One thing’s for sure—we’d prefer a guide in French since we don’t speak English 😅.

Next October we’re planning to ride the Ruta de la Plata by motorcycle—a historic Spanish route that runs from Gijón to Seville, also known as the N630.
Has anyone here already ridden it?
Unfortunately, I’m worried that parts of the N630 may have disappeared or merged with the A66 motorway, forcing us to ride long stretches of highway, which we’d rather avoid.

This is our first motorcycle trip in Morocco. I got my license two years ago with the dream of taking this kind of trip, and here we are! ✌️😍
In France, we usually ride between 300 to 400 km per day on roadsters. We’re not used to off-road tracks, so we’re looking for easy ones 😅—especially for me 😅.
For Morocco, I’ve planned stages of 200 to 300 km per day.

Day 2: Tafingoult - Amzarkou - Telouet (200 km - 4h34)

Day 7: El Ksiba - La Cathédrale - Zaouiat Ahansal (212 km - 4h20)
