Je prévois de partir 3 mois aux Philippines en Septembre pour du tourisme et du surf puis rejoindre l'Indonésie pour 3 mois également.

Je me pose beaucoup de questions pour les visas et formalités administratives.

Quel visa choisir pour les Philippines ? Pour l'Indonésie ? Je me doute bien qu'il va falloir faire des renouvellements sur place...ou dois-je m'adresser ? aux ambassades ? Ailleurs ?

j'ai cru comprendre qu'il fallait imprimer ses billets d'avion pour les Philippines et présenter aux autorités des billets d'avion de Transite ou de sortie du Territoire ?

Je pense que je vais opter pour des billets multi destination... Est-ce une bonne idée ? J'ai prévu de faire Lyon/Manille début Septembre, puis Manille/Jakarta début Décembre et pour mon retour début Février 2021 Denpasar/Lyon ou Jakarta/Lyon.

During my first month in the Philippines, I’d like to spend a week in Malaysia. With the extension, I’ll have a 59-day visa for that period.

My question:

Can I leave the country for a week and come back during my 59-day visa? Is this possible, or will it cancel the visa?

Je dois aller aux Philippines le mois prochain via Taiwan mais lorsque je regarde sur Fly tracker, je vois que mon vol (AF 8414) est bien maintenu ce jour (il est même dans les airs en ce moment)....

Quelqu'un a-t-il des informations sur le sujet? Mon voyage tombe-t-il à l'eau?

j'avais envisagé le Vietnam mais à partir de juillet les visas touristiques ne depassent pas 1 mois, 3 mois auparavant.

Existe t il des visas touristiques longue durée ou renouvelable facilement sur place , ou des visas dit retraités ? Quelles sont les conditions financieres ?

Lui a du repartir retravailler en France et Elle est lui n'ont finalement fait aucune démarche pour que le mariage soit reconnu en France. Également aucune démarche de son côté pour un visa puisqu'il devait rentrer 5 ans après auprès d'elle. Ils n'ont pas d'enfants . Le truc c'est que l'on s'est rencontrer, installer ensemble et il m'a demander en mariage ! Il l'a quitté Il a une maison la bas qu'il compte lui laisser mais ne veut plus rien lui verser. Et il ne le fait plus depuis trois mois. Ma question est : Dans une situation comme celle la, qu'elles sont les démarches à accomplir ??!! Mon conjoint doit il lui verser quelque chose ? Si le mariage n'est pas reconnu en France, doit on faire les démarches ? Si vous avez la moindre info n'hésitez pas !!!

Hello everyone, Here’s the follow-up to our recent experience (5/11). Upon arrival at Manila T3, don’t look for the immigration office before passport control (this was info we’d gathered but turned out to be outdated). Go through passport control with your eTravel, grab your luggage with a trolley because the obstacle course begins. Head toward the exit hall, turn right, exchange a minimal amount at one of the two counters, continue toward Burger King, turn right, take the elevator at the end of the corridor to the 3rd floor (departure area), then turn right as you exit the elevator, head to the right, go around the big pillar on the left, and you’ll reach the immigration office that will process your extension quickly for the modest sum of 4070 pesos (the price increased due to a new tax as of June). This little route will save you from asking a thousand questions and getting just as many different answers. Next, logically, buy a local SIM card. There are two small kiosks side by side on the ground floor, Smart and Globe. Prices here are triple what you’ll find in the city, but honestly, if I had to do it again, I’d get both SIMs at the airport. For one simple reason: it’s a hassle in the city—you have to find the shop in a mall, go there, wait in line, explain what you want, and it takes forever. We got a Globe SIM at the airport and a Smart SIM in Baguio, and we really struggled. The cheapest rate offered by Globe at the airport is 1500 PHP for 1 month, with calls and 80GB of internet. It’s oversized, but be careful—they’ll try to sell you an even more expensive SIM upfront (2500 PHP). Smart offers roughly the same terms. It’s pricier, but it’s a turnkey solution—the hostess handles registration with the authorities (passport, etc.) and configures your phone. Finally, almost at the far right, there’s a Grab kiosk (taxis, the Asian Uber, which I highly recommend—it’s so convenient!). They’ll arrange a safe taxi for you no matter your destination in Manila. Watch your belongings during all these tasks that keep you occupied—a tourist had their bag stolen while we were there! All this took us two hours from the moment we got off the plane, but you’ll likely save time with these tips. There you go—you’re ready to face Manila’s traffic jams on your way to your hotel. This is just a summary of our own experience; I hope it helps. Have a great stay! 😊

My partner and I would like to travel to the Philippines at the end of August for a 4-month stay. We can’t apply for a tourist visa in advance because (from what I understand) we’d need to provide proof of hotel reservations for the entire stay. But planning a 4-month trip so far ahead isn’t something we want to do.

So my question is about extensions once we’re there:

After the initial 29-day extension request, we’d like to apply for another 2-month extension. Do you know if the same supporting documents are required for this one (pre-booked hotel, 2000 € in the bank account per month requested)?

Or can we go ahead without risk and request the extension without these documents?

Bonjour je pars au philippines du 06 janvier 2020 au 17 février 2020 date de mon vol de retour a manille. Apres avoir téléphoné a l'ambassade des philippines a paris ou la personne eu au téléphone me dit que cela est simple (on imprime le formulaire on envoie tout et c'est fait en trois jours) la je m'aperçois que cela parait compliqué vue les demandes faites a l'arrière du formulaire. Demande personnelle directement a l'ambassade a paris, sachant que je vis a Montpellier, signature d'un notaire si par correspondance, billets aller retour, sachant que j'ai pris mes billets sur Lufthansa et que j'ai juste l'itinéraire de mon voyage et un numéro de billets électronique.......bref tout ceci m'angoisse . j'ai aussi pris contact avec un site visa-en-ligne.com ou j'ai fait faire un devis de 139 euro au final mais je ne m'occupe de rien juste a envoyer tous les papiers ainsi que mon passeport mais ne n'ai pas confiance et aucun avis la dessus sur les forum alors je laisse tomber. le consulat de Marseille ne répond pas au téléphone j'angoisse. ensuite je trouve des renseignements de dossier en ligne a envoyer donc par mail ou ça a l'air très facile. cheque perso accepté alors que pour les autres il faut un cheque de banque; pas besoin de s'y rendre apparement alors qu'ailleurs si. bref j'ai vraiment besoin d'aide car si je n'ai pas de visa je perd mes billets d'avion . Si quelqu'un peut me conseiller heeeelllllpppppp

Hi everyone. I’m leaving for almost 3 months in the Philippines (11 weeks total) starting in early May. I already have my round-trip ticket. The problem is, I don’t have time to get a 2-month visa because the process takes nearly a month. From what I’ve read here and there, I need a return ticket valid for less than a month when I arrive in the Philippines to prove my good faith. After that, I can apply for a 30-day extension at the immigration office. I’m planning to either buy a fully refundable ticket to the nearest country or a fake ticket. For 3 months, I’ll need to extend my visa two more times before my return date to France. My question is this: Will immigration ask me each time I extend my visa by one month to show proof of an exit ticket matching the new visa extension date? Is it possible to extend directly by 2 months before the initial 30 days expire? Thanks in advance for your experiences and tips! 😊

Hi everyone, I’m planning my trip to Madagascar for the fall and starting to think about getting my visa. After reading through different posts, I’m a bit unsure about the best way to go about it. Is it better to apply for an e-visa (and if so, which official website?) or just queue up on arrival? It seems there are "unofficial"—and therefore fraudulent—sites out there, and that you’ll have to queue either way (which I’m not thrilled about since I’m arriving at 11 PM). What do you think?

Hi there, Just a quick post to let travelers heading to Madagascar know not to apply for an eVisa online—the platform isn’t working. We actually submitted an application last Sunday on their official site (provided by the Madagascar embassy in Paris) http://evisamada-mg.com/. The 35 € payment for a 30-day visa was debited from our account, but no document was issued. After emailing back and forth, they admitted there’s a flaw in their system, and we’ll now have to apply for an AD visa on arrival! We thought we’d save time at the airport—nope, that backfired. They claim we won’t have to repay for the visa, but I’ll believe it when I see it…

Luckily, we only applied for my husband’s visa, so we’ll only lose 35 € if that’s not the case! I’ll apply for mine directly on arrival and skip the eVisa altogether!

Hello, We’ll soon be moving to Madagascar long-term. As a French national, I need to obtain a short-stay visa that can be converted to a long-stay one. To do this, I have to send the required documents to the Madagascar embassy in Paris. No issues with that procedure so far. If I get this visa, once I arrive in Madagascar, I’ll need to provide the same documents to the Ministry of the Interior in Anosy. I’m trying to find an email address or website for the Ministry to check which documents I need to submit (I think they ask for additional ones). Hello, My partner, who is Malagasy, would like to visit France (ideally in mid-August) and therefore apply for a short-stay visa (90 days). I’ve heard that many applications are refused even when all the required documents are submitted, which is why I’m here—to get advice and guidance to be "almost" sure the application will be accepted. I have a lot of questions, and your help would be invaluable to us.

She is 27 years old, has a passport with her current occupation listed as self-employed (she owns a "taxi-brousse" truck) and thus has a statistical card, a business license, and annual tax certificates. She started her business at the beginning of this year.

As for me, I am an adult with a disability. I receive disability benefits until May 2026. I’m in the process of professional reintegration and will start a job in a few days, likely on a fixed-term contract (CDD).

Here are my questions about the supporting documents to provide:

-Purpose of the trip/stay

Flight ticket reservation (round-trip) (the ticket should only be purchased once the visa is approved). Letter of commitment to return, written on plain paper. Any other document demonstrating potential family, economic, or material ties in the country of residence. Confirmation of a booked organized trip or any other document outlining the planned itinerary.

I’ve been told that for the flight reservation, my partner just needs to go to Air Madagascar in Antananarivo and pay around 50,000 ariary to get this reservation. Given that the French short-stay visa takes between 15 to 45 days (I might be wrong) to be processed and approved, I wonder if the reservation will still be valid if the visa is approved late. For the letter of commitment to return, I assume two sentences are enough, and what matters most are the documents proving ties to the country of residence (her economic activity). Do you think that will be sufficient? And for the planned itinerary, since this isn’t an organized trip, what document could work? A handwritten letter explaining a few planned visits?

-Proof of residence in the country of origin

For employees: original work certificate, original leave certificate, last 3 payslips (or bank statements). For retirees: pensioner’s card and last 3 pension statements. For traders or entrepreneurs: professional registration, professional card, and recent bank statements.

For liberal professions: professional registration, professional card, and recent bank statements. For unemployed applicants and students: sponsorship letter and copies of the sponsor’s financial documents.

For this point, she can justify her self-employed status with the statistical card, business license, and annual tax certificates. As for bank statements, she deposits her earnings in cash into her bank account—will this be an issue during the application review?

-Financial resources

Bank account statements (last 3 months). Last 3 payslips or pension statements. Foreign currency allocation certificate, whose origin must be demonstrated (recent bank statement, savings account), issued by local banks or exchange offices (minimum 32.50 € per day if staying with a private individual or 65 € per day if staying in a hotel) or presentation of an international bank card with supporting account statement.

I need help with this point because I don’t fully understand what she needs to provide as a self-employed individual, especially since she doesn’t earn 32.50 € per day. I can obviously transfer money to cover this. So, overall, what documents should be provided for this section?

-Accommodation

Confirmed hotel reservation with the hotel’s phone number and reservation number / payment confirmation for stays longer than 1 month or original hosting attestation.

For this point, do I just need to write a handwritten letter stating that I will be hosting her? Then scan it and email it to her? Is that all?

-Travel medical insurance

Insurance certificate: must specify the amount and scope of coverage (30,000 € coverage / medical expenses and repatriation).

For this, I’ll opt for AXA Schengen insurance (low-cost). Any advice is still welcome...

I have one last question about the following point:

The short-stay visa allows you to stay for a maximum of 90 days for a continuous stay or multiple stays within the Schengen area over a 180-day period.

If we decide to leave the Schengen area during the stay (to visit the United Kingdom, for example), will the 90-day visa be paused and resume once we return to the Schengen area? And if so, can we plan a return ticket beyond the 3 months by justifying an exit/entry?

I was caught off guard when the Malagasy consulate in Scandinavia informed me they don’t issue entry visas for Madagascar—what’s the point of a consulate, I wonder! They advised me to apply at the Malagasy embassy in London. So, I started filling out the online form, but the price for the visa made me do a double-take: nearly 200 €!

But apparently, you can also get it on arrival! Has anyone tried this before? I’d love to know if the process takes a long time (I’ll be landing in Nosy Be, exhausted after nearly 15 hours of travel), what the cost is, and—since corruption isn’t just a word—whether you absolutely have to grease the palm of the official(s). This is because I almost took the next flight back when I arrived in a country I won’t name. Even though all my documents were in order—passport, visa, vaccinations, hotel reservation—the immigration officer initially refused to stamp my passport. I later found out I was supposed to slip at least $10 into the document when presenting it... Thanks! /d

On a besoin de vous, l'ambassade de Paris ne répond pas ni par mail et ni par téléphone. Les consulats honoraires il n'y en a plus ou presque. Le consulat de Nantes où nous vivons ne gère pas les visas.. seul Paris !

On a la liste des documents pour faire une demande de visa transformable mais deux documents nous laisse perplexe et où vraiment s'adresser :

- Autorisation d'emploi bénévole délivré par le ministère de la fonction publique, du travail et des lois sociales. - Certificat d'existence délivré par le ministère de l'intérieur et de la décentralisation.

On a tout essayé affaires étrangères, consulat, ministère du travail de notre ville etc.. mais rien. On monte à Paris début octobre car on veut des infos et voir si par chance on sera où s'adresser et croiser les doigts pour avoir les documents.

On décolle le 29 octobre pour une mission de volontariat qu'on construit depuis bientôt 1 an avec les locaux.. passer juste 3 mois c'est super frustrant.

Bref si quelqu'un est super calé dans ce domaine on est preneur sachant que depuis le nouveau gouvernement beaucoup de choses ont changé.
