Je pars pour 3 mois environ en Asie du sud -est fin octobre- début novembre 2017 .
Je compte séjourner 2 mois au Cambodge ( chez des amis et visites ) et 1 mois au Vietnam ( road trip ) .
J'ai 2 questions .... Si l'un d'entre vous peut me renseigner ou me donner des indications, merci d'avance.
- En premier lieu, j'aimerais savoir si je peut prendre un visa pour le Cambodge, rester le mois correspondant à la durée du visa, sortir du pays ( dans mon cas, aller au Vietnam) , puis reprendre un visa Cambodgien d'un mois à mon retour du Vietnam ?
-En second lieu, c'est un peu plus compliqué ....
Je suis dans l'expectative en ce qui concerne ma ville d'arrivée, à savoir Bangkok ( ce que je fais à chaque voyage en Asie) ou Phnom Pen directement . En effet, il y'a des billets Marseille- Phnom Pen en ce moment par British airways à un prix intéressant ( dans les 550 euros, mes dates étant flexibles ). J'ai déjà pris un Marseille - Mumbai à un tarif vraiment valable ( 430 euros) avec cette compagnie et c'était très correct .
Seulement, je crains un refus d'embarquement, voir un souci à l'arrivée ... En effet, j'aurai un billet de retour MAIS 3 mois après ma date d'arrivée...
Or l'année dernière avec Turkish Airlines, on m'a demandé un billet de continuation pour embarquer sur un Marseille - Bangkok dans la mesure où, de la même façon, mon retour était fixé 2 mois et demi après mon arrivée, ce qui me faisait largement dépasser la durée de l'exemption de visa pour les Français en Thaïlande ...Le problème ne s'est pas posé vu que nous avions avec mon compagnon des billets de continuation pour le Laos . Là, ce ne sera pas, à priori, le cas .... En effet, je compte passer la frontière Cambodge - Vietnam par voie terrestre .
Ma question est donc la suivante : pensez vous que je doive impérieusement prévoir un billet de continuation par avion ( un billet de bus suffirait il ? Ce n'est pas ce qu'on m'a dit pour la Thaïlande mais on a pu se tromper et je ne sais pas quelle est la règle dans le cas précis du Cambodge ) ....Je préfère être sérieuse sur ces questions de visa et d'embarquement ( ce ne fut pas toujours le cas et ce sans soucis) mais j'ai des amis qui ont vécu cette galère il y'a peu et l'année dernière, comme je viens de l'écrire, bien m'en a pris d'avoir des billets pour Luang Prabang à montrer au comptoir de Turkish Airlines ...Rien ne m'a été demandé à Bangkok par contre .
Si vous avez les réponses à mes questions d'ordre très pratiques mais incontournables ? Ou des précisions ? Car selon, je changerai mes plans et prendrait un Marseille / Bangkok comme d'habitude ou ferait en sorte de présenter un billet de continuation pour Hanoi , voir un billet de bus si il est valable .
Et pour le cas du visa, si prendre un visa Cambodgien d'un mois, sortir un mois et reprendre un visa Cambodgien est faisable, super . Autrement, je m'arrange pour aller d'abord au Vietnam ...

Pour ce qui concerne le visa Cambodgien , pas de problème à votre retour de Vietnam vous aurez de nouveau un visa d'un mois pour le Cambodge .
Deuxième question , assez facile aussi si vous arrivez à Bkk , ce qui semble être votre préférence , réservez un billet Bkk/PNH , sur air Asia ( au mois de mars ça m'a coûté 50 € ), vous aurez un billet de "continuation" à présenter à l’embarquement , donc pas de problème . Les billets de car ne sont pas valables à ma connaissance .
Il y a d'autres plans aussi si vous arrivez à P.Ph , réservez un billet d'avion pour Saïgon disons 28 j après l'arrivée au Cambodge , et vous serez "dans les clous ."

Retraités, nous partons ma femme et moi du 25 septembre au 13 novembre .Nous avons les billets d'avion Toulouse - Bangkok et Bangkok Toulouse pour ces dates.
Arrivés à Bangkok, nous prendrons le jour même (le 26/09) un vol pour Hanoi pour visiter le nord du Vietnam dans un premier temps (récolte du riz) puis le centre et enfin le sud. (avions et bus sur 3 semaines)
Nous prendrons l'avion pour Siem Reap à partir de Ho CHi Minh. Après la visite d'Ankor, (4 j)nous souhaitons passer la frontière terrestre pour nous ren dre au Laos : région des 4 000 iles, Champassak, Paksé, Vientiane, Vang Vieng puis Luang Prabang.(18 j)
Retour en avion de L.P à Bangkok.
Pouvez-vous me dire les formalités à accomplir en terme de visa : combien de visa, type de visa,
(plus de 15 jours au Vietnam), a quel moment dois-je les solliciter (avant le départ ? à l'aéroport ? à la frontière ?
L'itinéraire prévue est-il réalisable dans le temps ? Est-il cohérent pour visiter ces deux pays + Angkor sachant que nous souhaitons visiter le nord du Vietnam juste avant la récolte de riz ou pendant.

Beau voyage en perspective , un mois et demi pour ces deux pays , vu que vous prévoyez de prendre l'avion assez souvent , ça peut le faire , car sachez que le VN nord/sud , c'est long ainsi que le Laos des 4000 îles à LP . Donc faudra pas traîner ...
Je pense que vous avez choisi Bkk aller et retour pour des questions tarifaires , au vu de votre programme , j'aurai choisi un billet multi- destinations pour (peut être pas vraiment plus cher car moins de vols intérieurs ) pour Siem reap avec retour de Bkk pour la France .
De S.reap , avion (ou car) pour Saïgon et là remonter sur Hanoï .
Du nord VN vous pouvez passer la frontière la frontière Lao , gagnez LP en car et redescendre progressivement vers le sud .
Et de Paksé vous avez des cars pour Bkk .
C'est une option , il y en a d'autres , mais c'est celle que j'aurais choisie .Maintenant si vos billets Bkk/Hanoï ne sont pas réservés vous pouvez toujours en prendre de Bkk/S.Reap , et suivre le programme ci-dessus .
Pour ce qui concerne les visas , pour la Thaïlande pas de problème , vous aurez à chaque passage en Thaïlande une exemption de visa valable un mois , même si vous ne faites que passer.
Pour le Cambodge et le Laos vous pourrez prendre directement vos visas aux postes frontières Prévoyez qlq photos d'identités , et des dollars .
Pour le Cambodge possibilité aussi de prendre des E.visas en ligne .
Le VN , je ne pourrai pas être précis ayant bénéficié d'une exemption de visa pour un séjour de 15 jours . Au-delà effectivement il vous faudra bien un visa .

En effet, j'ai pris un aller retour Toulouse-Bangkok pour des raisons de coût : 450 € .
Cela me permet de prévoir des vols intérieurs pour gagner du temps.
J'ai choisi d'aller d'abord dans le Nord du Vietnam en raison de la période de la récolte du riz et peut-être voir la région avant la récolte (1ere quinzaine d'octobre)C'est pourquoi mon itinéraire est un peu atypique.

La Cie aérienne peut refuser votre embarquement car le billet de retour dépasse les 30 jours d'exemption de visa thai >>> achetez le vol pour Hanoi avant le départ comme billet de continuation.

Je te conseille de vérifier d'abord que tes vols arrivent et partent du même aéroport ... Car sinon le temps que tu récupères tes bagages et que tu te rendes en taxi (il existe aussi une navette gratuite) à l autre aéroport , soit au minimum 1 heure de trajet sans embouteillages, le comptoir d'enregistrement d Asia Air risque d'être fermé.
Je me suis retrouvé dans ce cas de figure il y 10 jours , arrivée de Mumbai à BKK Suvarnabhumi à 6h50 pour un départ de BKK Don Muang à 10h05 pour Da Nang .
Le temps de passer l immigration et de récupérer mes bagages il était déjà 8h.
J'ai eu la chance de tomber sur un chauffeur de taxi bien réveillé qui a déjoué tous les bouchons pour me poser à Don Muang à 9h .
J'étais le dernier passager à enregistrer , le comptoir était sur le point de fermer.
Ensuite le temps de passer tous les contrôles , je me suis retrouvé être le dernier passager à embarquer.
Normalement le départ pour Hanoi se fera le jour même (au plus tard le lendemain)

Pour moi il était évident en lisant votre message avec départ le jour même pour le VN que les billets pour Hanoï étaient réservés .
Vous avez un A/R d'un mois et demi , donc vous devrez justifier à votre embarquement à Toulouse d'un billet d'avion de "continuation" pour prouver que vous ne dépasserez pas un mois en Thaïlande .
A l'arrivée en Thaïlande le délai entre vos deux vols est trop court , un avion peu avoir du retard et le passage aux formalités d'immigration à BKK peut être assez long en fonction des arrivées longs courrier.
De toute façon Air Asia assure ses vols d'un autre aéroport Don Muang , il vous faudra donc passez une nuit à Bkk et réserver pour le lendemain votre vol pour le VN .
Personnellement , je réserverai pour le milieu d'après midi du lendemain , ça donne le temps de s'organiser et de récupérer , bien sûr , ce n'est que mon avis , mais une chose est sûre pour moi , oubliez de repartir le jour même .
Je prends bonne note de vos précieux conseils : en effet, le départ pour Hanoi est l'aéroport de Don Muang. Le temps est trop court pour avoir l'assurance de partir. Nous décollerons le lendemain. I’m planning a trip from France to Alberta/British Columbia, and I’m unsure about which bank card to use for the security deposit with the rental company (I’m thinking of going with AVIS).
I contacted Avis Canada, and they told me a credit card is absolutely required. I asked my bank for a credit card (a *real* credit card), but they only offered me a deferred debit card.
My question: For a rental with Avis Canada, is a Gold International Mastercard deferred debit card usable for the security deposit needed to finalize the rental? Is the "CREDIT" label enough? (Some cards say "CREDIT" and others say "CARTE DE CREDIT"—seems minor, but it’s actually a big deal in how the card works.)
I’ve seen conflicting info everywhere I look... My bank says it’s *usually* okay (the deferred debit card), while Avis Canada insists it *must* be a credit card, not debit—even when I mention the deferred debit card.
I know the whole credit card concept is already confusing, and on top of that, some sites say a deferred debit card counts as a credit card, while others say it doesn’t.

I’ll explain my situation.
Unfortunately, I lost my passport, and I only realized it two weeks before my departure for a humanitarian mission in Libya. I’m a nurse, and this mission really means a lot to me.
First, I applied for an emergency passport, but it was denied by the Val-d'Oise prefecture on the grounds that a planned humanitarian mission wasn’t considered an urgent reason.
So, I submitted a biometric passport application on July 20th. Since then, the tracking has been stuck, and the town hall can’t (or won’t) give me any clear information. Every time I call, I get a different story. The last update I received was that the passport had been produced since July 23rd with a status of "about to be shipped," but nothing since then.
I’ve managed to push my departure back to next Tuesday at the latest, but I’m starting to really panic.
Have any of you submitted an application around July 20th, especially in Val-d'Oise (95)? How long did you wait between the passport being produced and it being available at the town hall? Is it normal for this step to take this long?
This mission means so much to me. I had everything organized, and I’m also supposed to attend a friend’s wedding right after near the border.

I’m a bit embarrassed because I need to travel to Quebec from February 27th to March 13th. I’m a regular visitor to Canada—this will be my 10th trip since 1997, plus a year as a permanent resident (2000–2001) and a cross-country run from Vancouver to Halifax in 2011. So, I’m definitely not a terrorist!
But since our last trip in July 2015, they’ve introduced this eTA thing. Seems more like a way to make money than to actually secure Canada, if you ask me, but anyway, that’s not the point.
I applied for an eTA for myself, my wife, and our two kids. They all got approved within hours, but not me! I was asked to create a GC key and then an IRCC account, which I did. Normally, you get news within 72 hours, but since Monday, January 15th, nothing!
In the "message" section of the account, it says "explanation letter (required)" with a deadline of January 25th, but I can’t find any explanation anywhere—despite searching the Canadian government website and Google. No links, nothing!
I’ve emailed them but haven’t heard back yet. I’m thinking of calling the Canadian embassy in Paris tomorrow. Even though I’m not stressing yet, it’d be a bummer if everyone else got to go without me!
If anyone’s had this issue before or knows what this explanation letter is about, I’d love to hear more.

I’m heading to Seoul in September, and to do that I need to get a travel authorization that we apply for through K-ETA....... turns out I can (barely, I admit) fill out the form up to the address of our "stay location," but every address I’ve entered has been rejected by the system. I’ve tried my hotel, the Lotte Hotel (which is well-known in Seoul), the airport—basically, I’ve entered at least 20 addresses, all rejected....
So, to anyone who’s successfully gotten the authorization, could you tell me which address you used to get that "elusive" approval?...

I bought a one-way flight (Ryanair) and a return flight (EasyJet) to spend a week in Morocco in April.
My passport expires 3 weeks after the return date.
Some websites say the passport must be valid for 3 months at the time of entry.
However, it will still be valid both on entry and return, but its validity will only be 1 month at the time of entry (and 3 weeks on the return date, everything prepaid).
It's an individual family trip.
The consulate can't give me an answer—they're still looking into it (really!)
Last year, we stayed for 3 months in Thailand, north of Khao Lak, and were able to benefit from the 2-month visa exemption, renewable for one month by going to Takua Pa to validate a 1-month extension (1,900 baht).
This year, it’s a disaster for us—not only were we planning a 4-month stay, adding a visa run in between (which some say is quite risky), but the law is apparently changing in the coming months with the return of the 1-month exemption (plus the usual 1-month option). So, we looked into applying for a 6-month multiple-entry visa, allowing a maximum of 60 consecutive days in Thailand. However, I can’t find anywhere the minimum time required outside Thailand between two stays—do any of you have an idea?

As a French national, I need to obtain a short-stay visa that can be converted to a long-stay one. To do this, I have to send the required documents to the Madagascar embassy in Paris.
No issues with that procedure so far.
If I get this visa, once I arrive in Madagascar, I’ll need to provide the same documents to the Ministry of the Interior in Anosy. I’m trying to find an email address or website for the Ministry to check which documents I need to submit (I think they ask for additional ones).

I’d like to know if anyone has already applied for a private visa to Russia with an invitation from a Russian resident.
I traveled earlier this year with an e-visa, but since I want to stay longer, I’ll be visiting my friend who lives in eastern Russia.
For the visa application, does the invitation need to be on an official paper form issued by the Russian ministry? And most importantly, do I need to present the original for the application, or is there an electronic version that can be sent directly to the consulate in France?

I filled out the B2 form to apply for a visa, created an account on Atvis to pay the visa fees and schedule a meet-up, but every time I try to pay with my Boursobank Visa 1st card, they refuse the payment with a message telling me to check my details (address), even though everything is correct. Does anyone know why this is happening, or maybe they don’t accept Visa cards? Are you aware of this?

On her ticket, it only has her maiden name (e.g., Martine DUPOND).
On her passport, it’s written as Martine DUPOND épouse AVRY.
No issues for travel, I hope I did the right thing with the ticket?
Then for the ESTA, is just Martine DUPOND enough, or do I need to include the "épouse AVRY" part like on the passport?

I saw on the French Embassy in Peru’s website and the Peruvian Consulate in Paris’s site that the rule is to have a passport valid for 6 months *after the arrival date* (not the return date).
I arrive in Peru on August 13, 2019 (for about twelve days), and my passport is valid until February 16, 2020.
That’s 6 months and 3 days after my arrival date in Peru. In my opinion, I’m good to go.
But could I still be denied entry if they say I don’t cover the return date or that I’m too close to the 6-month mark?
