Je recherche un vol à prix compétitifs pour le Brésil, le départ étant flexible entre le 30/01 et le 01/02, de Paris ou de Londres pour Rio de Janeiro.
Avec deux amies, nous ferons le tour du Brésil durant un mois en Février 2010 avant de nous rendre en Argentine, au Chili et au Pérou. Nous souhaitons être assez libres dans nos déplacements de ville en ville, mais le Brésil est si immense que l'avion semble être le transport le plus approprié.
Notre itinéraire prévisionnel est : Rio - Salvador (pas sûr)- Belem - Brasilia - Sao Paulo - Florianopolis mais peut-être changé à tout moment...
Le Brazil Air pass nous laissera-t-il assez de libertés dans le choix des vols sur place ou faut-il tout plannifier à l'avance??
Est-ce qu'il sera possible d'annuler ou modifier les vols choisis avec le pass?
Le pass s'achète-t-il en même temps que le billet d'avion de la TAM ou bien on peut le prendre un peu plus tard?
La compagnie GOL ne me paraît pas si low cost que ça... rien que le vol Rio-Belem coûte dans les 200€ ! est-ce qu'on peut trouver moins cher sur place?
Existe-t-il des pass pour les autres pays ? (Argentine, Chili, Pérou) ou bien il me semble que les compagnies de bus soient bien développées.

si tu achète un pass par exemple celui de la Tam tu dois l' acheter en France.
voir avec eux, il y a des restriction, 4 ou 5 coupons etc...
je penses puisque tu vas aller un peu partout faire de la sorte ;
tu prend ton billet paris / voir londre / rio.
aller retour obligatoire!
puis, en fonction ou tu vas tu voyage soit en bus soit en avion.
par exemple voilà se que j' ai fais au carnaval dernier.
je suis allé de rio via salvador via le bus ;
rio - vitoria - caravelhas - porto seguro - (trancosa, arrial d' ajuda ) puis salvador ( itaparia - morro de são paolo ).
et de la je suis rentré direct sur rio via un avion de la Gol pour 300 R$. en bus c' était 200 R$ en bus 26h en avion 1h45 il n' y pas photo.
il existe toujours des prix canons avec la GOL!! si tu voyage en semaine, si tu voyage tôt le matin ou tard la nuit etc... - 40%.
En bus, c' est pratique, par exemple si tu vas de rio à buzios c' est par le bus 3h.
Salvador je te le conseil, et Brasilia sauf si il faud que tu voie en perosonne lula, je voie aucun intêrret!
Rio-Belem, regarde une carte , c'est à peu près la distance Paris-Casablanca , alors 200 € n'est pas excessif
Oui quand même GOL n'est pas toujours moins chere que les concurrentes, va sur leur site, et compare avec TAM aux mêmes dates, et en plus les tarifs varient selon l'heure et le nombre d'escales
Il y a parfois de promos, mais attention surement pas dans la 1ère quinzaine de Fevrier , d'ailleurs tout le mois est une haute saison, le carnaval est le 16 et tout le monde voyage, Brésiliens compris
les "pass" vendus par les compagnies, avant le départ d'Europe, je n'en ai pas l'expérience mais peut-être vous conviendraient-ils, vu que votre visite ne s'étale pas sur une période trop longue, mais je conseillerais de bien planifier vos dates pour les divers vols intérieurs après une sérieuse étude, de manière à ne pas avoir à les modofier, ce qui serait sans doute difficile à cette période de l'année, où les avions sont pleins !!!!!
Effectivement les distances ne sont plus les mêmes dans ce pays-continent ! pour moi un vol low cost c'est 100€ max mais y'a 2 fois plus d'heure de vol et de distance c'est vrai...
On va suivre qqs uns de vos conseils, prendre d'abord un vol international Rio_Paris avec la TAM, puis voir à planifier nos vols avec le pass ensuite. C'est une petite contrainte mais vu les prix un gros avantage aussi !
J'aurais une autre question, quelles sont les dates de vacances exactes au Brésil ? Quand est la rentrée scolaire pour les jeunes brésiliens? Ca diffère par Etats ou bien c'est la même date pour tous?
Merci pour ta réponse, effectivement nous pouvons essayer de combiner les avions avec les bus, uniquement si nous souhaitons nous rendre dans une ville pas trop éloignée... mais notre parcours comprend les grandes villes qui sont situées aux quatres points opposés du Brésil quasiment ! donc on verra comment on s'organise... et je pense finalement que le mieux c'est quand même prendre le pass pour les étapes importantes.
Nous n'allons pas là-bas uniquement pour un voyage de plaisance, mais aussi pour des raisons professionnelles. Brasilia nous semble un passage nécessaire pour y rencontrer des gens, la ville est aussi un exemple d'architecture moderne non ?
En outre, je souhaiterais savoir si le Carnaval en février n'a lieu qu'à Rio de Janeiro ou bien dans tout le pays aussi ? et quelles sont les dates des vacances scolaires/ de la rentrée scolaire là-bas?

Un vol ryanair paris-madrid coutes pas trop cher (dans les 30€ je dirais) et le vol au départ de madrid
coute parfois 100 voir 150 € de moins.

la ville est aussi un exemple d'architecture : oui tout à fait.
Le carnaval a lieu dans tous le pays. notament il est très réputer sur Salvador et dans son état un peu partout.
Je suis allé l' année passé à Caravelhas dans le sud de Bahia, c'est une petit ville ou s' il n'y avait pas se passage pour prendre un bateau pour aller aux îlhes d'ambrolhos n' aurrait aucun intêret.
Une petit ville avec une ambiance de folie, des charts électriques de la musique énorme.
Le plus beau carnaval est dans la rue.
Pour les vacances scolaire, sa va démarrer la en décembre dans quelques jours et tout reprend juste aprés la Carnaval!
c' est comme la rentrée pour vous de septembre.
Je ne connais ps les dates des vacances scolaires au Brésil, à part le mois d'aoüt qui me semble être celui des vacances pour tous, à voir l'affluence dans les lieux de villégiature et le remplissage des avions .
Mais Fevrier, mois du carnaval cette année ( ça glisse parfois vers mars en fonction des décisions du Vatican ) , est un mois de voyages interieurs et extérieurs : les Brésiliens qui le peuvent ( et ils sont plus nombreux qu'on a tendance à le penser , n'oublions pas que le Brésil EST maintenant un PAYS DEVELOPPE ) ) se déplacent à l'intérieur du pays ou à l'étranger
- durant les semaines qui précèdent le carnaval ( "période pré-carnavalesque" ) pour assister aux répétitions ( " ensaio" ) de leurs groupes préférés à Rio ou à Salvador par exemple
- pour les 4 ou 5 jours du carnaval proprement dit , du vendredi au mercredi, pour "courir" le carnaval dans leur ville d'origine ou voir tout simplement le carnaval d'une autre ville que celle à laquelle ils sont habitués
- durant la semaine qui précède, et la semaine qui suit, pour fuir tous les inconvénients liés au carnaval ( éventuellement louer leur appartement à des touristes ) et profiter de cette période de perturbations pour faire un beau voyage à l'étranger ou se réfugier sur une plage du pays , où ils feront quand même la fête, mais sans débordements

Actuellement, le moins cher est aux alentours de 340€, avec plusieurs options sur TAM pour un départ de Francfort et un retour à Londres (escale à Sao Paulo dans les deux sens).
Pour un départ/retour au même endroit, toujours la TAM, cette fois à 450€, toujours avec escale à Sao Paulo dans les deux sens.

Disponible dans à peu près tous les sites de vente en ligne pour celui à 450€ (ainsi que sur tam.com.br), départ le 1er février, retour le 27 février ou le 1er mars (donc arrivée le lendemain à Londres). Attention sur tam.com.br, le tarif est affiché hors taxes au début, donc ne saute pas de joie en voyant "200€" 😇
Pour le Francfort - Rio - Londres à 335€, c'est sur voyages-sncf.com (au moins), là encore 1er février / 1er mars.

Ça veut dire que c'est bmi (compagnie aérienne britannique) qui te vend le vol sous numéro de vol bmi, mais que ce vol sera en fait assuré par TAM (qui vend aussi ce vol de son côté).
Tant que j'y suis donc, compter à partir de 39€ pour un Paris - Francfort en ICE (TGV allemand) le 1er février, et 38.50€ pour un Londres - Paris le 1er mai en Eurostar.
Total donc pour cette option (hors transfert gare/aéroport) : 457, 15€.

30/11: Exploring Bogotá: La Candelaria and Montserrate.
01/12: Gold Museum (closed on Mondays). Drive to Zipaquirá (1.5 hrs) to visit the Salt Cathedral. Then drive to Villa de Leyva (3 hrs). Explore the town. Overnight in Villa de Leyva.
02/12: Return to Bogotá via Laguna de Guatavita (5 hrs). Is it worth the detour? Overnight in Bogotá.
03/12: Flight to Pereira. Drive to Salento. Overnight in Salento.
04/12: Cocora Valley (hike among the wax palms) followed by a drive around the area. Are there any waterfalls or other sights nearby?

I’ve sketched out a rough itinerary but I’m not sure how to arrange it—considering the climate, year-end holidays, and Carnival.
Basically, I’m thinking of the Amazon, the Northeast coast with Lençóis Maranhenses National Park (but skipping Chapada Diamantina),
Ouro Preto, Paraty, and Ilha Grande—but no Rio visit.
Is this doable in 3 months?

Bonjour, qui connaitrait l' agence Ventura Travel Agency (et non ventura travel)? apres de nombreuses recherches, devis, c est la seule qui propose Uyuni à un prix raisonnable en réunissant tous les critères ; tranfert jusqu à la frontiere, hébergement en chambre privée, tarif très correct. Les autres, (guides et agences) proposent soit en chambre non privée, soit sans le tranfert jusqu'à la frontiere, soit tarif bien trop excessif ; mais je souhaiterais avoir des avis sur cette agence. * D14 (08/09) – Isla Múcura: Diving in the morning, archipelago tour (Tintipán + Santa Cruz del Islote), bioluminescent plankton in the evening
* D15 (08/10) – Isla Múcura: Second dive, relaxation
* D16 (08/11) – Return boat, buffer night in Cartagena before the flight
* D17 (08/12) – Chill morning in Cartagena, then flight Cartagena→Bogotá and Bogotá→Europe in the evening
— MY QUESTIONS —
1. Does the logistics seem realistic, or are there any routes I’m underestimating? (Especially Salento→Pereira→Medellín and Santa Marta→Cartagena)
2. Isla Múcura for a solo traveler looking for calm + diving: good choice, or would another island in the archipelago be better (Tintipán, Rincón del Mar)?
3. I preferred Finca La Selvita over Tayrona (less tiring, more original): am I missing out on Tayrona for no good reason?
4. Four nights in Medellín—too much or justified with the Guatapé day trip?
5. Any must-see I’ve overlooked?

Hi everyone, French travelers in Chile—what credit cards do you use for your various car rentals in the country? I’m traveling in September and was planning to switch my regular debit card (a VISA PREMIER in deferred debit mode) for the deposit guarantee.
My rentals are with Figal in Punta Arenas, Econautos in Arica, and Chilean Rent a Car in Temuco, and all of them want the deposit on a credit card. For me, deferred debit *should* work, but I’ve read comments saying the opposite.
How’s it actually working on the ground with these rental companies right now? Will a deferred debit card work, or not at all?
In France, banks don’t issue credit cards, right—or am I mistaken?

I’m desperately looking for info on the schedules and routes of (shared) boats to visit the islands of Lake Titicaca.
From what I’ve found, there’s a *combi* (bus) that leaves from Puno to go to Llachon. Where do you catch it? What are the schedules and frequency? Does it take about 1 hour?
Then in Llachon, you can take a boat to Amantani (45 min). Same question—where do you check for frequency and schedule?
After that, from Amantani, boats go to Taquile and then Uros. Do you have enough time to visit the islands between two boats? Frequency and schedule?
The goal is to do this tour independently (no agency) over 2 days. Thanks for any tips you might have!
I just got back from a trip to Bolivia and wow—what a wake-up call. It’s not the easiest country, but it’s absolutely stunning.
I started with Isla del Sol, perfect for easing into the altitude at a relaxed pace. Try to stay in the northern part of the island—it’s quieter and the views are insane. And the trout there? Unreal. Quick tip: bring cash in small bills; they almost never have change, and cards are rarely accepted.
Next up, La Paz. The city’s pretty wild, built in every direction. I did a few hikes in the area, including the famous Charquini Lagoon (the blue lake) at over 5,000 m—let’s just say I struggled 😅 but it was so beautiful it was totally worth it.
After that, I headed to Sajama. It’s cool, especially for the hot springs, and I stayed in Tomarapi. But honestly, if you’re short on time, you can skip it without too many regrets.
The highlight of the trip: the Salar. I did it starting from Tupiza, and I *highly* recommend going Tupiza → Uyuni. Way less crowded at the start and the landscapes are super varied. For the tour, I used SplitYourGuide to find a group, and it worked out great. Super handy for splitting costs and meeting people.
I wrapped up in Sucre—this city is gorgeous, all white, with such a chill vibe. And the salteñas + ice cream? Next level 😋
Bottom line: Bolivia’s a bit rough around the edges, sometimes exhausting (shoutout to the altitude), but it’s 1000% worth it.

I was planning to go to Réunion and stay in half-board accommodation with non-professionals, but it seems that’s not really the custom there—or maybe my budget isn’t big enough.
So, since I’ve already traveled around Ecuador and Peru, I’m now looking at Argentina, especially for its mountains (like the ones in Réunion that tempted me, even though—frustratingly—I could only admire them from below).
I plan to get around by bus and don’t know in advance where I’ll sleep, so I won’t book ahead. If I like a place, I might stay for several days.
I know that in Chile, it’s easy to find half-board accommodation, but what about in Argentina?
I’d like to stay with locals in half-board without it being a professional setup. I’m not sure if this is common practice there. It’s up to me to find someone willing to host me.
What do you think?
What would be a fair price (keeping in mind that 40 to 50 € is the max I can spend on accommodation, breakfast, and dinner)?

Nous partons 3 semaines en Patagonie en novembre en partant a priori depuis Coyhaique au Chili.
Nous ne serons pas motorisés et j'ai beaucoup de mal à obtenir des informations sur les possibilités de transport en quelques endroits de l'itinéraire que nous souhaiterions réaliser :
1) De Perito-Moreno (la ville, près de Los Antiguos), nous aimerions descendre la ruta 40 pour visiter le parc national Perito Moreno et ensuite passer au Chili via le Paso Roballos (à la lattitude de Bajo Caracoles)pour rejoindre la route de Cochrane. Sans voiture, il semble que nous devions passer par des agences privées pour rejoindre le parc national Perito Moreno : avez vous des recommandations ou des suggestions à ce sujet ? Et quelqu'un sait-il s'il est possible de passer (sans loc de voiture) au Chili par le Paso Roballos (depuis Bajo Caracoles), c'est à dire sans devoir descendre jusqu'à El Chalten ni remonter vers Perito Moreno / Los Antiguos etc. ?
2) Le 2ème tronçon qui semble un peu compliqué (mais quand même plus facile a priori) c'est de Caleta Tortel à Villa O'Higgins côté chilien. Doit-on repasser obligatoirement par Cochrane ou bien y a-t-il des possibilités de rejoindre Villa O'Higgins directement depuis Tortel?
3) Enfin, nous souhaiterions rejoindre l'Argentine (El Chalten), à pied, depuis O'Higgins. Auriez vous des recommandations à ce sujet également ? Doit-on passer par une agence ? Durée estimée de l'excursion ?
Vous l'aurez compris, nous souhaitons tout à la fois accéder à des endroits assez peu fréquentés mais nous n'avons pas de voiture pour cela, nous cherchons donc les meilleurs compromis possibles.

But for the return, we were thinking of taking the southern route via San Antonio de los Cobres, Route 51, then 23. Is it similar to the northern route in terms of road surface? we’ll be in Calama at the end of March 2026, and I’m looking for a reliable car rental there for a 7-day road trip to Salta, Argentina. But I’m struggling with the car rental agencies in Calama because the reviews can be scary. I saw Gyg, which has great ratings, but I’m a bit wary (5/5 from 59 reviews—either the guy’s amazing or it’s fake...), but I can’t find any recent reviews on VF in general.
For Punta Arenas, I booked with Dachelet and didn’t have any issues with email exchanges.

We especially love nature: hiking, wildlife watching, birds, etc.
We’re planning to wrap up with a week around Paraty and Ilha Grande.
We’re not really into visiting big cities like São Paulo or Rio unless you think we’d be missing out big time.

Three years ago during a trip to Java (no, I didn’t post in the wrong forum!), I came across the address of former miners who had switched to “tourism” and organized nighttime ascents of the Kawah Ijen volcano and descents into the crater.
So I was thinking—maybe there are miners on the salt flats too, either former or still active, who do the same thing. If you’ve had an experience like this, I’d love any tips you can share.
