Hi, I’m planning to go trekking in Armenia with a few friends. I’d love to get some recommendations for local agencies or names of French-speaking guides who organize multi-day treks. This destination seems pretty off the beaten path😕, which is exactly why I’m interested... Thanks.

Hi there, I don’t have any agencies or guides to recommend, but since info is actually pretty scarce, I’ll go ahead and share the name of my site where I put together a guide on trekking in Armenia: https://treketvoyages.wordpress.com/2023/11/05/armenie-2/.

Happy travels, Julien
Pour des topos de treks et des informations précises sur les pays que j'ai visités, rendez-vous sur mon blog : https://treketvoyages.com/. Il fonctionne comme un modeste guide de voyage et non comme un récit de voyage.

Thanks Julien for your reply and for sharing your blogs (they’re great!). I’m a bit surprised by your take on potential hikes—the Aragats Mountains (the south face is enough for me!) may not be full-on mountain treks, but there are still some nice spots you can reach after a few hours of walking (or so I’ve read). So I’ll dig deeper into that...

I also checked out your photos of the Kaçkar Mountains, and they’ve convinced me not to go—I don’t think I’m at that level. What a shame! (It’s a region I’d had my eye on...)

Have a great evening! Marie Paule
