voila j'ai 29 ans et depuis longtemps je souhaite m'installer en N-C pour quelques années (plus si affinité). Le 27 février, je serais enfin au soleil 😎(et aussi sous la pluie, il parait que c'est le mois le plus pluvieux😄). Je suis infirmière et j'ai déjà reçu des réponses positives des cliniques et de l'hôpital (en CDD mais c'est un début). J'ai aussi réservé une chambre à l'auberge de jeunesse et je chercherais un appart une fois sur place. Mais le hic c'est que je ne connais personne, toutes aides pour m'aider à m'intégrer dans cette nouvelle vie seront les bienvenues.

Depuis quelques années tous les mois sont pluvieux en calédonie, ils sont aussi plus vieux d'année en année, donc pas de quoi s'affoler.
L'auberge c'est bien en arrivant, ensuite il te faut consulter, "le gratuit" "paru vendu" "les nouvelles calédonienne" pour trouver les annonces et agences immobilieres.

Je suis sur Nouméa depuis Aout 2006. Je suis aide soignant en congé parental, j'ai 3 enf dont un qui est né sur le caillou. Dans le milieu hospitalier, il y a beaucoup de demande, je pense que tu trouveras ce que tu aimes. pour débuter tu as raison d'aller en auberge de jeunesse. Tu parts juste avec un sac a dos ou tu fais venir une caisse maritime? En tout cas si tu as des questions je suis prete a y repondre.

Salut, moi aussi je suis infirmière et je vis en Nouvelle Calédonie. Je suis actuellement en congé sans solde car nous avons un bébé et les horaires sont incompatibles avec ceux de mon mari... Ici, la vie est formidable, tout est beau ici, mais et il y a un mais, à condition d'avoir de l'argent d'avance en arrivant ici. Je vais certainement me faire lyncher, mais moi je vis ici dans la vrai vie...Alors mon but n'est pas te t'effrayer, mais que tu ne sois pas déçu en arrivant ici, dans le plus beau pays du maaaaaaande! Les contrats sont en CDD pour les métros car les syndicats hyper puissant n'en veulent pas, le salaire est de 2400 euros ce qui te permettra de vivre normalement ici sans folies. Le problème c'est que tu ne pourras certainement pas louer d'appart en CDD à moins de verser 6 mois à 1 an de loyer d'avance ou de te mettre en colloc avec qq qui a un CDI. Tu dois pouvoir trouver un F1 à Nouméa pour 500 euros, mais ce sera pas le luxe ou une colloc de villa dans les 700 euros sans les charges biensûre. Une autre option est de s'éloigner de Nouméa, pour Robinson par exemple mais faut aimer les bouchons matin et soir. Il y a une autre solution, c'est devenir infirmière de brousse, beaucoup rapporte une expèrience humaine formidable, tout est plus abordable, mais il faut aimer l'isolement, les conditions de soin précaires dans les dispensaires et les risques liés à la forte alcoolisation associée à la prise de stupéfiants de certains patients. Sinon je dirais que le coût de la vie est le même qu'en hyper centre de Paris pour des produits qui eux sont basiques.

Car partir seule ça n'a pas que des avantages, tu as toujours un peu peur de ce que tu vas trouver sur place et tu n'as personne vers qui te tourner quand ça va mal c'est pourquoi je cherche des contact pour me donner des conseil pour mon installation.Au faite tu pars bosser dans quoi?Et tu vas rester longtemps en nc?

Au faite Mulane, je compte partir avec un sac à dos seulement, j'aimerais bien trouver un meublé au début comme appartement. J'ai regardé les prix, je trouve que c'est relativement chère mais bon le salaire d'IDE est aussi plus élevée . Par contre toutes les annonces que j'ai vu était souvent pour des appartements loués surtout pour des vacanciers. Il me semble qu'il y a peu de personnes qui louent à l'année. Mais je n'ai peut être pas trouvé les bon sites sur internet.

je répond en même temps à Catalgyne qui m'a posé la même question.J'ai seulement envoyé mon CV et ma lettre de motivation à trois cliniques et à l'hôpital de Nouméa( avec photo, photocopie des diplômes et extrait de casier judicière vierge). Trois semaines plus tard j'avais la réponse d'une clinique et dans les deux mois suivant de l'hôpital et d'une autre clinique. Toutes positives, mais je devrais quand même passer un entretient à mon arrivée pour voir si je présente bien. Apparement la demande d'IDE est assez importante en nc. J'ai mon diplôme depuis 5 ans et j'ai toujours fait de l'intérim. Je n'ai jamais voulu me fixer pour avoir le plus d'expérience possible et je suis déjà partie en Guadeloupe pour travailler. En plus, avec l'intérim j'ai pu faire des formations spécialisé en cancérologie, réanimation et salle de réveil. Vu que tu débutes, je ne sais pas si tu auras des réponses positives pour la nc mais par contre si tu souhaites partir en Guadeloupe, Martinique, Réunion ou Guyane, tu peux passer par une boite d'intérim. Commence à bosser avec eux dès maintenant et fait leur part de ton désir de partir en DOM-TOM. Ils te proposeront des contrats d'un an en CDD, les départs sont surtout en été. Souvent le voyage est pris en charge par la clinique qui t'embauche et elle te trouve un logement.

Je voi que je ne suis pas la seule a partir dans cette aventure vers Nouméa... Je suis egalement du voyage et j'arriverais sur l'ile le 22 mars... ca se rapproche !!!
Je suis également infirmiere (faut croire que les infirmieres ont la bougote !!!) et j'ai eu quelques réponses positives de la part de la plus part des cliniques et hopitaux ( j'ai deux ans de diplome et une experience d'un an au Canada).
J'ai egalement reservé pour quelques semaines a l'aubergede jeunesse... alors peut etr aurais-je l'occasion de retrouver certains d'entre vous la bas !!!

Décidemment, y'a un flux migratoire important vers le caillou en ce moment!!! Moi aussi, je serai en NC à partir du 9 Avril pour trois mois voire plus... J'ai des amis sur places pour m'accueillir mais ils bossent alors pourquoi pas découvrir le caillou en groupe???...

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
