we’re planning a full-day boat tour on the Douro, starting from Porto...

is it better to book in advance online, or on the spot?

thanks and happy spring

I think it’d be best to book in advance. Have a great cruise!

Hi Sylvie, We’re back from Porto and did the day cruise on the Douro. It was really great! Check out the website https://bonjourporto.fr/croisiere-vallee-douro/ That way, you’ll have all the info to book the cruise, and by visiting the Bonjour Porto site, you’ll find a ton of tips about Porto!!! Happy planning. Yvette

Hi there! As Yvette mentioned, the day trip on the Douro via bonjourporto.fr is a memorable experience you shouldn’t miss. You’ll be picked up right from central Porto and taken to the heart of the Valley. There’s loads of other info, addresses, tips, and services available on that blog. Don’t miss out! !

Hi there! As Yvette and TomJeremy mentioned above, Bonjourporto is a great way to gather info before and during your stay, and their day trip along the Douro is warm and full of discoveries!

There’s also a short cruise of less than an hour on the river, leaving from Porto, called the Six Bridges Cruise. Perfect for a last-minute boat ride. And a unique way to explore the city.

Just so you know, the Douro Valley, with its vineyards and breathtaking landscapes, really starts getting interesting at least 50 km from Porto. So it’s definitely a full-day excursion to fully enjoy it! !
