Après avoir placé les navires en attente, Cruises Investment Holding, qui détient 51% de la compagnie de croisières espagnole PULLMANTUR, et Royal Caribbean, qui détient les 49% restants, ont déclaré aujourd’hui avoir déposé un dossier de demande de réorganisation de leur joint-venture Pullmantur Cruceros en vertu des lois espagnoles sur l'insolvabilité. Cela pourrait marquer la fin de la marque Pullmantur.

C'est en gros les mêmes genres de mesures que celles de Ponant qui étaient décriées plus haut (pas par vous 😉).
Et sans doute les mêmes que sur tous les bateaux quand ils vont reprendre, un jour peut-être.
Une forte désaffection de la clientèle a prévoir si ça perdure ... à moins que ce soit la solution trouvée pour faire naviguer les navires a 50%

Les 3 navires « Pullmantur » (Monarch, Sovereing et Horizon) appartiennent de plein droit à Royal Caribbean International.
Oui je le sais et la situation est tt de mm assez particulière si Pullmantur n'a plus de $$$ dans les caisses je suppose que son principal créancier et le loueur de navires... donc RCI
Et si on va vers une liquidation on est face a une entreprise qui liquiderait pour moitié un créancier principal

Des napolitains nous informent que le monarq et le sovereing qui sont dans leur port seraient en cours de démontage : équipements intérieur et électronique.

Par ailleurs le site msc serait en cours de modification pour mise à jour du programme ils vont profitter aussi de faire des travaux sur 2 bateaux qui vont aller en cale sèche, peut être un des 2 serait le magnifica qui doit etre rallongé.
Certains clients sur leur dossier n'ont plus de no de cabine donc soit changement de bateau ou annulation à venir.
Le feuilleton continu et pendant ce temps la le covid repart a la hausse notamment en allemagne........
La Cale sèche c'est pour le splendida et le divina.
Le fantasia remplacerait le seawiew sur Dubai.
Depart pour les caraibes de miami annules jusqu'au 15 septembre.
Surclassement à l'étude pour ne pas avoir de cabines interieures occupées.

MSC CRUISES ANNOUNCES NEW WINTER 2020/2021 PROGRAMME

Geneva, Switzerland – 22 June 2020 – MSC Cruises confirmed today full details of its Winter 2020/2021 Season, offering over 90 different itineraries across the Caribbean, Mediterranean, the Gulf, South Africa, South America and Asia – all of the regions where MSC Cruises traditionally operates. Itineraries range in length from two to 24 nights, along with the third MSC World Cruise departing in January 2021 and an extensive Grand Voyages programme.
Gianni Onorato, MSC Cruises’ CEO commented, “We have reviewed and updated our complete Winter 2020/2021 Season, starting in late October and we are pleased to now confirm the full details. Our Winter programme sees us offering cruises in all of the regions of the world where we traditionally operate and whilst there are some updates to the original planned deployment of specific ships, we are still able to offer our main itineraries so that guests can enjoy the holiday that they booked with us.”
Today’s announcement follows the Company’s recent confirmation that the entire MSC Cruises fleet, including two brand new vessels currently under construction, will be in operation starting from March 2021 for the Summer 2021 Season.
In addition, MSC Cruises confirmed today the voluntarily further extension of the halt of operations of its ships operating from U.S. ports in the Caribbean until September 15, 2020. The announcement impacts two ships – MSC Seaside and MSC Armonia – that were previously scheduled to sail in the region during this time period. Guests affected by the cancelled cruises will receive a Future Cruise Credit (FCC) by July 13, where they have the opportunity to transfer the full amount paid for their cancelled cruise to a future cruise of their choice – on any ship, for any itinerary -- through to the end of 2021. Meanwhile for the Summer 2020 Season, MSC Cruises has previously announced the temporary halting to its current ship operation up until 31 July in the other regions where the Company operates.
In conjunction with today’s announcement, the Company also revealed that a new comprehensive and enhanced health and safety protocol is being developed in collaboration with relevant national health authorities and with the support of a team of external medical experts. This protocol will cover all aspects of the cruise from the booking phase through to disembarkation and the return home. It will also include all aspects of life on board and the precautionary measures will ensure the health and wellbeing of guests and crew including enhanced sanitation measures, guidelines for life on board as well as enhanced medical facilities and health screenings for guests and crew. The full details of these new precautionary health and safety measures will be announced in the coming days.
Winter 2020/2021 programme overview
MSC World Cruise 2021
MSC Magnifica will sail her third World Cruise, following on from the high level of appreciation from World Cruise guests in 2019 and 2020, replacing the previously announced MSC Poesia. MSC Magnifica is the latest ship in the Musica class and is well-placed for this voyage with one of the highest ratios of balcony cabins and impressive onboard features including the pool with a magrodome and extended dining areas. The original itinerary is fully confirmed and the 119-day journey around the globe will commence on 5 January 2021, with guests travelling to 53 destinations across 33 countries in style and comfort.
The Mediterranean
MSC Grandiosa will replace sister-ship MSC Virtuosa for the winter, as delivery of this ship is delayed due to the delays and postponements caused by the health pandemic. All guests currently booked on MSC Virtuosa will be automatically reprotected to MSC Grandiosa, the Company’s current flagship, with the original itinerary – the MSC Cruises signature seven-night “Six Pearls” western Mediterranean cruises, with embarkation possible at each port: Marseille, France, Genoa, Italy, Civitavecchia/Rome, Italy, Palermo, Italy, Valetta, Malta and Barcelona, Spain.
MSC Magnifica will offer two festive cruises in December with a five-night Christmas cruise calling Genoa, Marseille, Barcelona and Civitavecchia and a ten-night New Year cruise from Genoa, Marseille, Barcelona before calling Gibraltar, Lisbon/Cascais in Portugal, Cadiz/Seville and Malaga in Spain before returning to Civitavecchia/Rome and Genoa.
The Caribbean
MSC Meraviglia will sail every Saturday from Miami, United States, on one of two itineraries: an evening experience in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Charlotte Amalie, US Virgin Islands, Nassau, The Bahamas and Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, The Bahamas or Ocho Rios, Jamaica, George Town, Grand Cayman, Cozumel, Mexico and Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve.
MSC Armonia homeporting in Miami, will offer three-, four- or seven-night cruises to Key West, Nassau and Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve.
MSC Seaside will offer three-, four- or seven-night cruises from the brand-new embarkation port of Port Canaveral in Florida, United States, with cruises calling at a range of destinations including Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, George Town, Grand Cayman as well as Cozumel and Nassau.
Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve will remain a key highlight of the MSC Cruises offering from Florida, with all three ships calling at the private island destination in The Bahamas. Exclusive to MSC Cruises’ guests and located just 65 miles from Miami, the island is surrounded by 64 square miles of marine reserve, offering guests a unique opportunity to discover local marine life, soak up the spirit of Bahamian culture and reconnect with themselves and each other.
MSC Poesia will replace MSC Splendida, to serve the South Caribbean and the Antilles with the original planned itineraries departing from Fort de France, Martinique on seven-night, seven-destination itineraries and 14-night from Barbados sailing to some of the best of islands the Caribbean has to offer.
Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Qatar
MSC Fantasia will replace MSC Seaview and MSC Lirica in this region, offering seven-night sailings with Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the exclusive beach resort of Sir Bani Yas island in The United Arab Emirates, as well as Bahrain and Doha, Qatar. The cruise concludes with an overnight Dubai stay for time to explore all that the cosmopolitan city has to offer.
MSC Musica, replacing MSC Fantasia, will offer seven -night cruises from Santos calling Itajai/Santa Catarina, Brazil, Punta Del Este, Uruguay and an overnight in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
MSC Sinfonia replacing MSC Orchestra will offer eight or nine-night cruises from Buenos Aires calling, Montevideo, Uruguay, Buzios, Rio de Janeiro Ilhabela, or Ilha Grande/Angra dos Reis, Itajai Brazil, . with the possibility of embarking in the ports of Buenos Aires and Montevideo.
MSC Preziosa will operate her original planned itineraries from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil with a range of cruises from three to eight nights.
South Africa
MSC Orchestra, replacing MSC Musica will offer a range of cruises from either Durban or Cape Town to destinations including Maputo, Mozambique, Portuguese Island, Pomene, Mozambique and Port Elizabeth, as per the original planned itinerary.
MSC Opera will operate the planned itinerary from Cape Town and Durban.
A highlight for the season will be a 14-night New Year cruise on MSC Orchestra visiting five spectacular destinations, including an overnight stay in Port Louis, Mauritius.
The Far East
MSC Bellissima will offer a choice of different length cruises in Asia- a detailed sailing programme will be announced soon.
Spectacular Grand Voyages
MSC Fantasia, which replaces MSC Seaview, will depart on her Grand Voyage from Barcelona, Marseille and Genoa on 14, 15 and 16 November, respectively, as she moves to Dubai for winter. MSC Opera will offer the original planned itinerary from Italy to South Africa. All other Grand Voyages from Europe to the Caribbean, South America and South Africa will be cancelled.
In Spring 2021, nine Grand Voyages will be available with ships returning from the Emirates, Brazil, South Africa, Martinique and the United States, sailing to Europe for the start of the Summer 2021 Season.
Further booking information
All guests whose booking is affected by any changes will be automatically reprotected to another ship serving the same or similar itinerary. These guests will be eligible for compensation as follows[2]:
Guests who have booked an inside or ocean view cabin will receive a cabin upgrade
All guests booked in a balcony cabin, a suite or a Yacht Club cabin will recveive a shipboard credit of €100 ($100) per cabin (€50/$50 for single cabin occupancy) for cruises up to six nights and for cruises of seven nights or above, the guests will receive €200 ($200) per cabin (€100/$100 for single cabins occupancy)
All new guests booking with MSC Cruises before 31 July 2021 will benefit from flexible booking conditions to give them added peace of mind should they need to reschedule or cancel their cruise covering cruise departures from 1 August 2020 through to 2 May 2021. Details include:

Je regarde ce forum car MSC a annulé ma croisière Durban Venise Avril Mai, j'ai pu choisir une autre croisière en Auréa en Décembre sur le Spendida pour les Caraibes et en lisant votre mail je vois qu'il y a changement de bateau pour le Poésia . mon agence n'est pas au courant et je voudrai savoir ou je peux trouver des nouvelles pour cette croisière . L'info sur les changements de bateaux est sur le site MSC suisse, si vous avez réservé une croisière avec un choix de no de cabine regarder sur le site msc, votre dossier a du passer en cabine garantie.
Maintenant ces changements de bateaux sont la conséquence du retard de livraison des nouveaux bateaux et de travaux envisagés pour d'autres avancés compte tenu de la situation actuelle et du volume réduit des réservations.
Cela ne veut pas dire pour autant compte tenu de la situation actuelle ( interdiction de naviguer, fermeture des ports ) que tous ces bateaux et toutes ces destinations seront assurées pour ce programme d'hiver.
Il faut encore attendre quelques jours pour connaitre la suite des modifications et des annulations.

Je pense que si aujourd'hui , toutes les compagnies de croisières , sans exception , avaient la certitude , la garantie, d'avoir un taux de remplissage de 50% de leurs croisières maintenues cet été , et même jusqu' à la fin de l'année : elles seraient ravies et bien heureuses ! Leur survie dépend actuellement de tellement de facteurs externes et internes qu'elles ne maîtrisent pas vraiment ! Quant à leurs saisons d'hiver en Europe et d'été austral ( particulièrement pour celles opérants en Antarctique ) l'ouverture , sans restrictions, des ports argentins et chiliens constituera un test absolument décisif ! (Et Aussi parce qu'il faut minimum 20 heures d'avion pour y arriver et rentrer , et cet élément est hautement incertain ! Qui aujourd'hui voudrait volontiers faire 20 heures d' avions pour accéder aux croisières australes ?) J'écoute en ce moment le professeur Raoult en audition à l'A.G. , et ..... !)

Le directeur général de Costa Crociere, Neil Palomba, a annoncé - en avant-première - la reprise des croisières le 1er août avec le navire Costa Deliziosa. Après deux autres navires : Costa Smeralda en septembre et Costa Diadema en octobre. La compagnie annoncera le programme dès que possible.

La seule chose à laquelle Neil Palomba s'est engagé c'est de planifier un redémarrage progressif de ses croisières Costa. En espérant que cela pourrait se produire dès août si les protocoles de santé qu'il propose aux autorités sanitaires italiennes soient validés. Apparemment il n'a pas de doute que les clients soient au rendez-vous. D'après des rumeurs de medias italiens la reprise s'effectuerait qu'avec des Italiens, ensuite avec d'autres nationalités en espérant (encore !) que les ports espagnols et français rouvrent d'ici là.

La baie de Manille est devenue temporairement l’un des plus grands rassemblements au monde de paquebots avec près de 30 navires en attente au large de la capitale des Philippines pour débarquer leurs passagers exclusivement des membres d’équipage des différentes compagnies.
Une période de quarantaine doit être observée au large avant de débarquer.
Ce n’est pas ce soir que le Mediterranea appareillera.

Il y a juste une chose qui est certaine, : ce trajet en si peu de temps est totalement impossible même si Costa l'a dit !

Je ne me fais aucune illusion quant à un hypothétique départ de croisière sur le Méditerranéa fin octobre mais surveille quand même les mouvements (quand ils bougent) des navires. Quant à Costa, beaucoup d'incohérences entre leur site internet, my costa...etc,

vous n'êtes pas la seule à surveiller les webcam de Costa, le sujet a déja été abordé sur un groupe FB.
Ce qui était drôle là bas c'est que la personne prétendait que si Costa l'a dit, le bateau serait forcément à Bari le 4 juillet 😉.
Même chose pour les croisières du Mediterranea dont le transfert à la filiale CSSC est acté depuis longtemps, il y a juste eu un décalage de date suite au Corona virus.
Pour info il y a également une polémique au sujet du Diadema dont les croisières d'octobre sont maintenues alors qu'il est annoncé privatisé par TMR pour leurs croisières musicales.
Bref la communication de Costa n'est pas claire même sur des sujets qui semblent sans grande incertitude...

L'Espagne reste fermée aux croisières
L'interdiction espagnole des navires se poursuivra jusqu'à ce que l' épidémie de coronavirus (COVID-19) soit maîtrisée, a annoncé le responsable de l'État, même lorsque le pays rouvrira aux touristes pour tenter de relancer l'industrie du tourisme martelée par la bloquer.
L'Espagne maintient une interdiction aux bateaux de croisière de s'amarrer dans ses ports pour arrêter la propagation du COVID-19, a déclaré un arrêté ministériel publié samedi 27 juin.
Des navires de croisière transportant des milliers de passagers s'arrêtent régulièrement dans les ports espagnols des îles Canaries , des îles Baléares, de Malaga et de Barcelone , mais ont été interdits lors du blocage du pays le 14 mars 2020.
Avec leur foule de passagers plus âgés, les navires de croisière ont été particulièrement vulnérables aux épidémies de virus et ont été empêchés d'atterrir dans de nombreux pays.
Le maintien de l'interdiction a été décrit comme "une mesure proportionnée, objective et non discriminatoire conforme à l'objectif fixé par le Comité d'urgence de l'OMS pour arrêter la propagation du virus", a déclaré l'ordonnance, se référant à l'OMS ( Organisation Mondiale de la Santé).
Les bateaux de croisière font partie du secteur touristique espagnol, qui contribue au total à 12% du PIB.
L'année dernière, 10 millions de croisiéristes ont visité le pays.

Le gouvernement espagnol a décidé de maintenir l'interdiction d'entrée en Espagne des navires de croisière mais il pourra y avoir des exceptions spécifiques à ce veto.

On peut dire que la porte n'est pas totalement fermée, mais il ne faut pas oublier les risques de réactions des populations locales comme je l'ai précisé le 9 avril dans mon post d'ouverture de cette file où l'on retrouve pas mal de choses qui se passent actuellement.
Ceci ne m'a pas empêché d'être descendu en flammes sur d'autres sites que celui ci où il y a beaucoup plus de personnes qui prennent le temps de réfléchir !

D'après Le Figaro " À partir du 1er juillet ... les ports de Patras et Igoumenista accueilleront de nouveau des ferries en provenance d'Italie " c'est bien ce que dit le Consulat de France à Athènes (à l'orthographe près car c'est "Igoumenítsa" et non Igoumenista).
Mais je doute de la véracité de la fin de la phrase du Figaro " et les autres ports du pays seront rouverts aux bateaux de croisière ". Je n'ai trouvé confirmation de cette informations nulle part.
Il est exact que " tous les aéroports du pays rouvriront aux vols internationaux " mais selon l’Aviation Civile Hellénique, les arrivées à l’Aéroport International d’Athènes pour les passagers en provenance de France, Belgique, Italie, Portugal, Espagne etc . . . et de pays hors espace Schengen, un test obligatoire sera effectué à l’arrivée. Les passagers testés devront s’auto-confiner pendant 24h à Athènes dans l’hébergement de leur choix (bien sûr à leur charge) jusqu’à réception des résultats de leur test. Pour le moment c'est comme ça !

Il me semble qu'à partir du 1er juillet, en Grèce, seuls des tests Covid19 aléatoires seront pratiqués et non systématiques sur les passagers qui arrivent à Athènes.

We just returned from a cruise from 08/13/26 to 08/20/26 on the MSC ORCHESTRA with stops in Tarragona, Valencia, Livorno, Civitavecchia, Genoa, and back to Marseille.
The ship was fully booked. Deck chairs were already occupied by beach towels early in the morning, and there were only 1 or 2 people in the pools... However, on the day the Italians disembarked, there were very few towels on the deck chairs.
We found the Italians less talkative.
We had a balcony cabin on deck 9, starboard side. The cabin was spacious, but the sofa was facing the desk, making it a pain to watch TV (neck strain guaranteed). So, we changed the sofa’s orientation to face the TV (we put it back in place on disembarkation day).
There were 325 French speakers on board, and a lot of staff from Mauritius, which made communication easier.
No annoying announcements about bingo, etc.—a nice change from COSTA.
For dinner, we were at the first sitting at 7:45 PM, at a table for 6. On the first night, we were two "gray-haired" couples at the table. The second night, two young women joined us but asked to change tables after seeing us...
The show for our dinner time was at 10:15 PM and ended around 11:00 PM. We found that a bit late for us. The shows were varied and of good quality.
The restaurant menus offered plenty of choices, but at the buffet at lunchtime, there were a lot of dishes with quite a few carbs. Afternoon tea from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM included some great pastries, among other things.
We had an issue with the air conditioning and bad odors in the cabin one afternoon. I reported the problem to the reception, and staff along with our cabin steward came to check the cabin. The issue was resolved that same afternoon.
Two days later, we were surprised to find a bag with items inside: 2 MSC mugs and 2 MSC thermos flasks that keep drinks hot or cold for 10 hours. It was a gift from customer service following the bad odors in our cabin. We weren’t expecting this at all and thanked MSC’s customer service.
For excursions, MSC always offers port-to-city-center transfers for 14 € per adult in Valencia and Tarragona, and 12 € per child. In Livorno, it was 10 € per adult and 7 € per child.
In Civitavecchia, there was a shuttle to the train station for 6 €.
On the MSC for Me app, there were "promotions" on certain excursions.
We really enjoyed this cruise, but we couldn’t revisit some stops (Tarragona and Valencia) on our own because it was too hot.

I'm considering a cruise on the Hurtigruten Coastal Express from Bergen to Kirkenes and back to Bergen over 11 days in mid-March 2027.
Has anyone already done this trip?
I think it’s a great way to discover the Norwegian coast with the chance to see magnificent northern lights, but isn’t the trip a bit *too* long?
There are about thirty stops, but most last only a few minutes, with just one daily stop of over 2 hours, which gives a quick glimpse of a few towns but doesn’t allow for a full excursion.
Is the supplement for an outside cabin with a porthole (800 € for 2!) really worth it?
It’s more pleasant than an inside cabin, but do you spend enough time in your cabin to make the most of it?

We're leaving on August 25th for a Danube cruise from Vienna to Bucharest. The travel agency refuses to postpone this cruise despite navigation changes due to the exceptional drought, which include bus transfers that don’t interest us.

Just back from our first cruise on the Renaissance, and I’d like to share a few thoughts about life on board. Our feelings are mixed—we wanted a change after several MSC cruises, but the value for money on this repositioning cruise left us torn.
After taking advantage of successive promotions, we finally secured a well-located balcony cabin for 2600 € (almost 50% off the brochure rate). Given the amenities and the ship’s age, this now feels like the absolute maximum we’d pay for that period.
Overall, we were happy with our vacation on board, but a few details—when added up—left us with a somewhat mixed impression.
The pros:
- Ship size
- Reasonable noise levels, except in the restaurants (aside from the covered pool area)
- Spacious balcony cabin (20 + 5 m²) with plenty of storage and a bathtub with jets
- Understated, tasteful decor
- French language spoken on board
- Friendly staff for the most part
- 100% French-speaking clientele
- Decent food with French dishes (even with an Indian chef)
- Tables for two available (though the ship was full, so no changes possible)
- Some high-quality shows, thanks to an excellent English-speaking troupe
- Interesting lectures (especially on history and cetaceans)
The cons:
- Unreliable air conditioning in common areas (you’d go from a freezing lounge to a hot one, as if the system only worked in certain spaces at certain times)
- Aging ship with a few glitches (noises, AC, toilet flushes, lights) reported at reception (luckily, our only issue was the bathroom door not closing...)
- Industrial, thawed-out bread and pastries (a letdown for a ship with a French image)
- Limited fruit selection (often just apples and watermelon/melon) and not much variety in vegetables
- Worn, sometimes stained restaurant towels
We’re not ruling out another cruise on the Renaissance—their itineraries are unique—but only at a very competitive price.

I discovered solo cruises last year, and it was a wonderful experience. Since then, I’ve decided to do one every year, usually between October and March, departing from Marseille or Le Havre.
I travel alone, but I enjoy sharing certain moments with other travelers: having meals together, attending shows, enjoying the evening entertainment, grabbing a drink, or going on a few excursions. Of course, everyone keeps their freedom—the goal is simply to have a good time in a friendly atmosphere.
For the end of this year, I don’t have a cruise planned yet. However, I’m already booked on the MSC Magnifica from October 29 to November 3, 2027, departing from Marseille with an itinerary to Spain and Italy.

After a lot of hesitation between different cruise lines (Explora, Oceania, YC, HAL, NCL) and several destinations like Norway, Ireland, and Iceland,
I finally chose NCL’s Star for Iceland.
I had already looked at this itinerary when I went to Scotland in April with CFC, but it was really expensive.
You should know that CFC often offers last-minute deals 45 days before departure (the point when you can no longer cancel or modify).
So, I got a great opportunity and grabbed it.
Departure is on August 23rd.
If there’s one trip I’ve always wanted to take, it’s a long boat journey far from my daily routine—something like crossing the Atlantic. I first thought about traveling on a cargo ship or similar, as some of these boats used to accept individual passengers, but I’ve read that this has become very rare since COVID. Plus, the options that might work for me are way out of my budget, like Neoline, for example.
A cruise seems like the best solution for me, especially since what I really love is the idea of a long stay on a ship—making stops in different places, exploring them, the change of scenery, and a real break from the daily grind. I’ve never been on a cruise before, so I was thinking of doing a 21-day cruise between a port in mainland France (Marseille) and Pointe-à-Pitre. The departure port doesn’t really matter—Marseille, Le Havre, or even a nearby European city would work.
Since I want to travel solo, I’m really keen on cruises designed for solo travelers. MSC has one from Marseille to Pointe-à-Pitre, lasting 21 days, departing next November (so in a few months). The price is within my budget, just over 1800 €.
I see that other cruises with similar routes and durations are planned for next year, November 2027, but the prices are totally different—around 3500 €, which is clearly out of my budget.
So, my question is: do you think I should wait for a possible price drop for the 2027 cruises (if I understand correctly, prices are adjusted based on how full the ship is and how close the departure date is) or should I book the one in November 2026? I could easily take three weeks off this fall. Also, is it too late to book for November 2026? I’ve read that visas might be required for some stops.
For the rest—accommodation in Guadeloupe and the flight ticket back to France—it’s not a problem; I can sort that out pretty easily.

What about breakfast and meals served free in the cabin, and the spa?
Costa’s been cutting back on perks for Gold members, and it seems like suites are next.

We’re back from this cruise.
Boarding in Dunkirk: The doors opened around 12 PM. Since we were a bit early, I asked if my husband, who uses a walker, could wait inside instead of outside. I left him with the two suitcases and our two backpacks in the small hall while I parked the car in the reserved CFC parking lot for 10 € per day.
The shuttle that was supposed to take people from the parking lot to the model pavilion was supposed to arrive in 5 minutes, but after 15 minutes, nothing. After waiting 15 minutes, I saw a man walking and asked if I could follow him. In 15 minutes, we arrived, and still no sign of the shuttle—it must have passed us. Arrived at the model pavilion.
My husband had already checked in the suitcases with the help of a CFC staff member. The remaining formalities were completed quickly. We were on board by 12:15 PM. Headed to the buffet on deck 11 and waited in a lounge to access our cabin.
At 2 PM, we discovered our balcony cabin on deck 9 at the rear: spacious with a large balcony compared to MSC/COSTA.
Since we were at the rear, cabin 9202, there was always an issue with elevator number 4: "priority."
Elevator number 2 stops at deck 10... and elevator number 3 was often out of order, leaving only number 1 for those with mobility issues to reach the buffet, especially for people who struggle with stairs. Note: only one child on board and lots of "gray hair."
DAY 2: At sea. Lots of activities offered.
Day 3: GOTHENBURG (Sweden). Sunny, 19°C at 11 AM.
Excursion booked with CFC: Gothenburg and Haga for all.
Interesting visit with a great guide. The HAGA district, in our opinion, is full of cobblestones and nothing special, not suitable for people using a cane or wheelchair. Elevator number 3 was out of order again.
Day 4: Copenhagen. 15°C in the morning, showers in the afternoon.
We didn’t book an excursion since we’d already stopped here with CFC in 2025, and based on advice from this forum, we took the hop-on/hop-off bus right in front of the ship. I still went to see the Little Mermaid again.
No TV, but the elevator was fixed.
DAY 5: At sea. Still no TV.
DAY 6: GDANSK (Poland). 15°C, rain all day.
There’s a shuttle to get to the city center.
We took the excursion: Panorama of Gdansk.
The guide left us at the entrance of the city center for 45 minutes, telling us what to visit. Meet-up for the rest of the tour at 3 PM. The bus left at 3:15 PM to cover 10 km to see St. Mary’s Cathedral. We arrived at 4:16 PM... The guide said there are often traffic jams in that direction. We had 10 minutes on site before heading to see the lighthouse and the Westerplatte monument, where we also had 10 minutes.
Many of us wondered why we didn’t do the tour in the opposite direction since they knew there would be traffic...
I went to reception to complain about the organization. The staff member read me the program: we were supposed to start with the lighthouse, then go to the cathedral and stay for 30 minutes before heading to the center of Gdansk for a short guided walk with some free time to buy souvenirs, etc.
The guide did the complete opposite of what was planned and didn’t even give us a guided tour—just dropped us off in the city...
DAY 7: Bornholm Island (Denmark). 14°C, a few sunny spells.
We saw in the excursions that there was a walking tour of RØNNE. So, like many others, we explored on our own. There was a small orchestra welcoming us at the port and two people with city maps. We took the shuttle to leave the port—it ran every 15 minutes. The tourist office was next to the "shuttle bus." A pleasant visit at our own pace.
DAY 8: KIEL (Germany). 18–23°C, nice weather.
We took the "Kiel for all" excursion. Great guide and interesting visits.
The port is in the city, and in 10 minutes, we were in the city center by following a blue line on the ground from the port. Elevator 3 was stuck again... and the TV was back.
DAY 9: At sea. Elevator 3 works.
DAY 10: At sea. Elevator 3 is out of order again...
DAY 11: Disembarkation in Dunkirk.
Cabins had to be vacated by 7:30 AM. Buffet open until 9 AM.
Elevator number 1 was "reserved," leaving only number 2, which doesn’t go up to deck 11... a problem for people with mobility issues who had to cross the entire deck 11 and try to use one of the four working elevators at the front, which were crowded.
My opinion: Interesting stops.
The onboard staff were always welcoming, smiling, and mostly French-speaking.
Evening shows were better than in March/April 2025—better singers, dancers, and presenters, and the costumes were improved.
I liked the "magician" shows less.
There were three onboard lectures by a very cultured person, but they went off-topic and were too historical for my taste. I didn’t attend the other two; my husband went to the second but not the third.
For this cruise, there was a bridge theme, but we’re not players or interested.
We didn’t take a drink package on board—water, coffee, tea, and herbal teas were available.
We had a water leak in our cabin the night before disembarkation. We reported it, and after the technical staff came (with a translator who didn’t speak English), we were asked to leave the cabin for a while for repairs. We went to a lounge, and after 1.5 hours, I checked in at reception. The repair took longer than expected... we had to change cabins... not ideal the night before disembarkation. No balcony cabins were available, so we got an ocean-view cabin, 6075, with a bathtub (impossible for both of us to use). We packed our suitcases, took a shower in our cabin, and moved to the new one. Noise from chairs until 12:30 AM because the cabin was under a lounge, and constant ventilation noise in the hallway... sleep was hard to come by.
Disembarkation: Well organized. We were helped with transporting the two suitcases and bags to the waiting room while I took the shuttle to get the car.

It’s with immense sadness that I learned this morning of the passing of our friend Nathalie (nadu). Many of us knew her through this forum, which she loved so much. She enjoyed reading your travel stories, joining discussions, sharing her cruise reviews, and offering valuable advice—always with kindness, gentleness, and discretion.
For me, Nathalie was so much more than just a cruise enthusiast. She was a friend, a deeply kind person who was always there to listen, despite the many health challenges she faced with tremendous courage. We corresponded regularly, and sometimes we had the chance to visit each other’s homes or attend the cruise show together with our respective husbands.
We shared a common dream: when we both retired, we had planned to finally go on a cruise together. Life had other plans, and that trip will forever remain a journey we never had the chance to take. That thought weighs heavily on my heart today.
I’ll remember her as a gentle, generous woman who was always ready to help others. Her presence on this forum will leave a huge void, just as her friendship has in my life.
I send my sincerest thoughts to her husband, her family, and all those who had the chance to know her.

hi there, a group of friends and I are going on a cruise at the end of June with CFC in Norway. I’d love to get some info on the different stops we’ll be making. Most of them are one-day stops (from around 10 AM to 8 PM on average). Here are the stops: Andalsnes, Trondheim, Honningsvåg, Alta, Hellesylt, Sandane, Austefjorden.
