Étant donné que vous avez un forfait tout-inclus vous n'aurez rien à payer sauf vos souvenirs. Pour ce qui est des souvenirs ils sont peu dispendieux. Vous payerez 3 pesos convertibles pour une bonne bouteille de rhum (pas en bas de 20$ à la SAQ). 5 pesos pour 5 bons cigares. Tout ca pour vous dire que les souvenirs ne sont pas cher à Cuba. Ce n'est pas parce que les pesos convertibles sont évalués plus haut que le dollar canadien que les choses coutent plus cher qu'ici... En plus le dollar est haut ces temps-ci, vous en aurez pour 30% de plus pour votre argent qu'Il y a 2 ans! Ca paraît!😎
Chose première à faire avant de prendre un voyage... s'informer !!! Mais t'en fais pas, j'arrive de Cuba et ça coûte pas cher là-bas (exception pour les excursions). Les bricoles des marchés ou vendeurs sont très belles et souvent pas cher (je ne négocie pas, c'est leur gagne-pain). Coté température, en effet, décembre et janvier c'est pas la saison idéale pour y aller à ce qu'il paraît... Je n'y vais pas l'hiver dans le sud, je voyage au printemps été et automne (ca coute moins cher et moins de monde).
Mais t'en fais pas, Cuba est un beau pays et tu y trouveras sûrement un intéret !

Hé bien domage que tu ais bouqer ton voyage déjà car je en recommande pas Cuba en décembre, c'est très frisquet surtout le soir.........mais bon disons que la température moyenne est à 22 degré le jour. Je suis déjà aller en Mars et c'était pas encore très chaud. Moi j'y vais toujours au mois d'avril et en automne. Mais cuba c'est très beau et les souvenirs sont pas cher.

J'ai été à Matanzas (près de Varadero) durant les 2 premières semaines de janvier dernier pour un voyage avec mon programme au cégep. Ce n'était pas un tout-inclus, mais les questions à vos réponses seront les mêmes!
Alors Cuba fonctionne avec 2 systèmes de monnaie. La monnaie nationale que seuls les Cubains ont le droit d'utiliser... donc 20 pesos nacionales équivalent à peu près à 1$CAN. Pour les touristes et les étrangers, ce sont les pesos cubains convertibles. Donc, oui, ils équivalent à peu près aux Euros.
Par contre, les denrées que vous pourrez vous procurez là-bas ne coûteront probablement pas très très cher!!!
Cuba reste Cuba!
Évitez les places à touristes pour rapporter vos souvenirs, c'est souvent (TOUJOURS) plus cher.
Dans une tienda (un magasin), le rhum vous coûtera environ 3 CUC (peso cubain convertible).. donc environ 4 ou 5$CAN. L'añejo (rhum brun vieilli 7 ans) vous coûtera un peu plus cher.. 7CUC environ.
Faites provision d'alcool lorsque vous revenez parce que ce n'est vraiment pas cher!
Personnellement, j'avais aussi rapporté du curaçao bleu (3CUC au lieu de 25$CAN ici!!) et des cigarillos. ATTENTION!! les cigarillos, (petits cigares aromatisés) comme on les appelle au Québec, veulent plutôt dire "cigarettes" à Cuba! Recherchez plutôt les cigaros, mais en plus petit pour avoir l'équivalent de ceux d'ici. Renseignez-vous avant d'acheter! (un petit paquet, c'est alentours de 8CUC)
Si vous mangez à l'extérieur de votre hôtel, préférez les endroits où vont manger les cubains! Les menus-types: riz, fèves noires, poulet, patates, parfois de la "pizza" (pâte à la sauce tomate gratinée de la taille d'une petite asiette, ... très bon!), etc. Ces menus vous reviendront autour de 2-3CUC au lieur de 12-15CUC pour les restos à touristes.
Pour ce qui est de la température, là où j'étais, c'était très chaud et humide, mais on a connu les deux extrêmes. Soit de 30 degrés Celcius le jour et même une fois 8 degrés celcius la nuit...brrr!🤪 Généralement, c'est plutôt 18-22 degrés celcius la nuit. Renseignez-vous pour la province de Camaguey!
C'est très amusant, parce que c'est l'hiver pour les Cubains à cette période de l'année, alors ils ne se baignent pas! Mais nous, les québécoises, on s'est baignées en masse! L'eau est chaude et si vous avez l'occasion, allez faire de la plongée en apnée dans un site propice aux poissons. Vous aurez l'occasion d'apercevoir toutes sortes de poissons tropicaux que l'on voit dans les films, tels que Nemo (le poisson-clown orange!), poisson-chat, ...
Au fait, si vous ne parlez pas bien espagnol, ne vous en faites pas, la plupart des employés parleront anglais, et peut-être même français. Et les Québécois sont très appréciés parce qu'ils ont la réputation d'être polis, courtois et faciles à vivre!
je viens de voir ton message et aussi le fait que tu avais cancellé, dommage.... Je connais très bien l'endroit car j'y vais régulièrement depuis 3 ans, j'y suis allé dans les périodes de novembre, décembre, février, mars, avril, mai et août et je peux te dire que la température a toujours été très belle, sauf en février dernier nous avons eu une journée à 15 degré mais pour le reste toujours chaud...Santa-Lucia n'est pas dans le haut de Cuba donc la température et toujours plus chaude que Varadero etc.. Mais comme on dit la température n'est jamais garantie et ce partout où nous allons même en République Dominicaine. Jy suis aussi allé a quelques reprises et c'était pas mieux qu'a cuba, j'ai peut-être eu de la chance!
Si tu as la chance d'aller à Cuba un jour n'hésite pas, tu seras surement contente de ton séjour! Moi depuis que je vais à Cuba j'ai laissé tombé la République!
Je suis allée à Cuba en décembre, et je n'ais pas eu froid. Parfois, le soir il y avait un peu de vent, mais pas de quoi mettre son anorak.😛 On a eu beau temps tout le séjour. L'année d'avant nous avions fait la RD et nous avions eu une journée complète de pluie où on avait rien pu faire.

I’ve planned a three-week itinerary for this summer, from August 9 to 27, in Sri Lanka:
Negombo – 1 night
Sigiriya and the Cultural Triangle – 4 nights
Kandy – 2 nights
Ella – 3 nights
Tangalle – 6 nights
Colombo Airport – 1 night
I know this isn’t the ideal time for the south since the beach conditions aren’t great, but we’ve booked a hotel with a pool and won’t be swimming in the sea. We want to relax after all the travel since we’re bringing our two kids, aged 6 and 8.
I know the east would be better, but (i) I’m struggling to find suitable accommodation, and (ii) it adds a lot of travel time, and my kids can only handle about 3 hours at a stretch.
I looked into Arugam Bay, but it’s a 7-hour trip back to Colombo from there.
I’ve checked every weather site imaginable, but they don’t all agree. Do you think we’ll spend our whole trip in the rain, or is the monsoon in the south mostly limited to the sea, as I’ve read?
I’m worried about ending up in the middle of a natural disaster with my two young kids, given recent events.

Just giving you the quick context: A group of friends and I are planning a trip to South Korea (Seoul/Busan) at the end of June/July next year. It falls right in the middle of the monsoon season, but we don’t really have other availability options.😕
I’d love to hear from people who’ve visited the country and these cities during this period—basically, is it not as bad as it sounds, or should we just cancel our tickets (we don’t mind the heat, it’s mostly the rain that scares us).
I know there are plenty of indoor activities, but do you think we’ll still manage to get a few sunny days, or will it be torrential rain for our entire 2-week trip?
The only other country we’ve visited during the rainy season is Brazil (in the northeast) around the same time, and honestly, aside from a few really annoying downpours, we had sunshine most of the time and it was awesome. That said, the climate is totally different, so I’m not sure how relevant the comparison is.

Personally, I see a promising opportunity here—jumping on this adaptation to extreme climates before others do, since they’re inevitably coming.
From my own travel experience, I’ve met a few guides so far who are starting to adjust, like in Egypt, Kenya, Senegal, and elsewhere.
They avoid crowds and the hottest hours by starting their tours around 6–7 AM, when it’s cooler.
Yeah, you’ve gotta wake up early, but the payoff is so worth it. 😴

Hello, We’re heading to Finnish Lapland near Rovaniemi as a family at the end of February with two kids (8 and 14 years old). We’ve got direct flights with Luxairstours. The itinerary is already set, but I’m wondering if anyone has traveled with Luxair before and knows exactly what kind of clothes they provide on the second day? The agency just told me it’s a heavy-duty cold-weather suit. I’m thinking we should get Sorel Caribou boots, maybe second-hand. Here’s what I’ve already planned:
- Thermolactyl leggings and tights from Damart for the whole family as a base layer.
- A first layer of Damart socks + Nordic Stocks socks in 70% merino wool for all four of us.
- Loose fleece layers, including some Polartec.
- Ski pants for hikes.
- For my son and me, a The North Face Himalayan down parka with a hood.
- A ski parka for my husband and my 14-year-old daughter (she *really* wants a Roxy one—I hope it’ll be warm enough).
- For myself, for the flight and the first day at Santa’s village, I’ve packed The North Face winter hiking pants, a long-sleeve merino wool top from Decathlon (thin), a fleece, and my big parka.
I’m wondering if I should just pack fleece joggers or sweatpants for the kids and my husband, at least for the first and last days, to be comfortable on the plane?
I’m also planning to buy balaclavas and neck warmers in addition to our beanies, as well as mittens for all of us. I really need advice because I have no idea—I’ve never been skiing! Also, for a 4-night, 5-day trip, should I pack a second set of base layers, like from Odlo?
Of course, I’ll be leaving cotton clothes out of the suitcase.
As you can tell, I’m someone who gets cold easily—especially my feet, hands, and ears—so that’s my biggest worry. I *don’t* want to be cold, even at -20°C during dog sledding, snowmobiling, or aurora hunting when we might be standing still. We won’t be in the city, and the kids will likely spend most of their time outside, as they usually do.
