je voudrais savoir s'il y a la possibilité de travailler en dispensaire là-bas (les dispensaires sont-ils
gérés par l'hopital?), ou si ça n'est possible qu'à cayenne ?
J'hesite encore pour l'instant entre saint laurent et cayenne, quelqu'un peut-il me conseiller ?
Enfin pour faire le trajet cayenne-saint laurent, est-ce qu'on a une chance d'avoir un depart en taxis-co vers
le milieu d'aprem ou non ? est-ce que je peux envisager de louer une voiture à l'aeroport et de la rendre à saint laurent ? (comment sont les routes, la conduite au debut du mois de mai?)
Pour le logement, je sais que l'hopital met des logements à disposition à l'arrivee, quelqu'un sait s'ils sont loin de l'hopital? est-ce que je peux esperer trouver un logement rapidement une fois sur place, ou est-ce qu'il vaut mieux commencer maintenant depuis la france?

C'est une magnifiqueexpérience que de partir en Guyane pedant six mois. J'y ais passé un an avec mes parents avant de commencer mes etudes en metropole. Je me souviens que trouver un logement la-bas n'est pas chose aisé. Nous avons vécuspendant un mois dansun gite avant de pouvoir emmenager...si tu peux avoir des contacts sur place pour t'aider danstes demarches c'est mieux. Par ailleurs, le marché de l'immobilier n'est pas bon marché, mieux vaut le savoir avant de partir. Si tu as l'occasion de partir à St Laurent du Maroni, n'hesite pas c'est une superbe ville pleine de charme et le coin est magnifique. N'oublie pas de faire la remontée du Maroni jusqu'à Maripasula (une semaine) c'est magnifque.
Attention aux moustiques...j'ai attrapé la Dingue un mois apres mon arrivé en plein centre de Cayenne...

je me permet de te répondre car moi aussi je suis infirmière et je suis partie travailler en Guyane depuis le 15 janvier 2007.
seulement, je suis sur KOUROU et non Saint-laurent.
je travaille au Centre Médico-chirurgical de kourou. ici, on te loge dans un appart en collocation pour 350 euros par moi ( charges comprises), on te paye ton billet d'avion ( aller pour un contrat de 3 mois et aller-retour pour 6 mois ).
le salaire de base d'une infirmière qui débute est de 2600 euros brut environ ( sans prime dimanche, nuit, fériés ).Les gens sont sympas et le travail pas pénible du tout.
il faut cependant savoir que la vie en Guyane est chère surtout pour l'alimentation. Sinon, on se fait au climat(en fait, la Guyane ça plait ou ça plait pas, il faut essayer et voir ).
Si tu envisage de rester longtemps, il te faut prévoir l'achat d'une voiture ( ici ce sont de vieilles voitures pas chères ), car même le plus petit village est très étendu en superficie.

Il ne faut pas t'inquieter outre mesure pour la violence en Guyane. Ce n'est pas invivable ! Il ne faut pas oublier qu'on est en Amérique du sud et que la chaleur incite parfois les plus démunis à la violence. Mais je pense que c'est pire dans beaucoup de quartiers des grandes villes de métropole...
Si tu évites certains endroits la nuit il ne peut pas t'arriver grand chose.
Pour ce qui est du boulot, tout depend de ce que tu veux faire. Il y a beaucoup de chomage, mais aussi trés peu de gens qualifiés.

Le nivo de vie est éleve apparement, bien je te remercie encore
Le niveau de vie n'est pas beaucoup plus élevé. Il est vrai que toute la nourriture, surtout fraiche, qui vient de Métropole est trés chère. Il faut manger un peu local pour ne pas trop depenser.
Ce qui est le plus cher ce sont les sorties dans les camps en forêt, environ 150€ les 2 jours.
Ce qui est sur aussi c'est qu'il faut un véhicule car les distances sont grandes.

I’ve decided to return and settle in Cameroon, my home country.
Currently an entrepreneur in real estate and transport, I’m looking for a partner / partners / foundation to collaborate on an agriculture project, as I own 10 hectares of land.
