Je vais déjà commencer par me présenter. Je suis donc Ludwig, j'ai 30ans et suis chef de projet WEB et tout particulièrement dans le e-commerce. Mon souhait est de m'orienter d'avantage dans la gestion de projets internationaux. Mon problème est que comme grand nombre de français, je me débrouille en Anglais mais avec pas mal de difficultés à l'orale (comprendre ça va, parler ça devient plus compliqué de le faire naturellement.). Je prends donc des cours d'Anglais renforcés et voyage dès que j'en ai l'occasion dans des pays anglophones.
Mon projet : suite à mon retour de voyage en Californie du sud, je me suis rendu compte que j'aimais cet état énormément. J'adore la mentalité, la culture, etc. Je souhaiterais prendre un congés sans solde dans la société où je suis actuellement afin de travailler quelques mois aux USA et tout particulièrement en Californie du sud (LA). Ceci afin de progresser nettement dans la langue, renforcer mes acquis et profiter d'avantage de cette ville extraordinaire. Comme mon Anglais n'est pas encore parfait, je souhaiterais trouver un job de développeur qui nécessite moins de "relations sociales" que chef de projets et qui me permettrait de mieux connaître le système de travail américain.
Le séjour devant être de courte durée (90 jours au + dans mes souvenirs), pensez-vous qu'il y ai une chance de trouver quelque chose en CDD ? Ou si je viens pour travailler, dois-je faire une demande de visa ou est-ce à la société qui m'embauche de le faire ? J'ai regardé sur plusieurs forums et sites d'annonces et apparemment le poste que je recherche est pas mal recherché.
J'écris sur ce forum surtout pour profiter de l'expérience de ceux qui ont tenté le coup ou qui vivent là-bas. Selon vous, quelles sont les difficultés que je pourrais rencontrer, tant pour le logement que pour tout le reste ?
Dans ma vision des choses, qui doit paraître très utopique, je souhaiterais si c'est concluant, recommencer 1 an ou 2 après.

Il te faudra décrocher idéalement un stage (rémunéré) et tu pourras ainsi demander un visa J-1. Contacte à distance les entreprises susceptibles de prendre des stagiaires dans ton domaine.
Tu devras quand même maîtriser minimalement la langue pour soutenir une conversation, car tu devras parler au téléphone (ou webcam) avec la personne responsable du recrutement lors de ton entrevue.

Si je recherche un stage, pensez-vous qu'il permettrait de me payer suffisamment afin de trouver un hébergement et vivre là-bas l'histoire de quelques mois ? Car dans mon domaine, les annonces que j'ai aperçues sont supérieures à 50000$/an.

le probleme sera le visa;
regarde effectivement du cote du J1 (tu seras paye moins que ce que disent les annonces mais ton profil peut les interesser et le visa J1 est assez facile a obtenir) car aucune boite ne te fera un 'vrai' visa de travail pour juste qqs mois...
sans visa de travail, tu ne peux pas travailler (meme 90 jours).
et surtout relis bien cette petite phrase:
Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer.

Pour une aussi courte durée, aucun employeur ne voudra t'embaucher pour un contrat de travail, puisque tu n'as pas de visa et que tu n'es pas Américain.

Our departure time is getting closer (we have less than 2 years left—it’s both a long time and so short!). To start preparing seriously, we’ll need quite a bit of info. If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
Are there any special requirements before leaving France (aside from taxes...)?

Actually, I’m currently doing a postgraduate diploma in pediatric respiratory physiotherapy and want to specialize in that area.
