J'ai 17ans je vis à Paris et je voudrais perfectionner mon anglais qui est plutôt médiocre très médiocre! Donc voilà je ne suis jamais partis en famille d'accueil et j'aimerais y aller pour cet été. J'aimerais partir aux États-unis, Australie ou Angleterre, mais je ne veux pas un séjour linguistique (hors de prix de un et surtout je veux pas me retrouver assis dans une classe à prendre des cours de langue NOOOON!!!!). Moi je voudrais trouver une famille ayant un ou deux ados à peux près du même âge pour pouvoir m'immiscer dans la vie quotidienne de la famille en question! Voilà mais je trouve rien sur internet il y a que des sites de séjour linguistique hors de prix mais vraiment (genre 2 000e les 4semaines). Mais une fois sur place bien sur j'aurais une enveloppe pour payer l'alimentaire tout ça! Mais voilà sa serais sympa que vous me donniez vos exp positive ou négative.

Les familles du Royaume Uni accueillent professionnellement, cad que c'est leur gagne-pain. Donc elles sont rémunérées à la journée
pour chaque jeune qu'elles reçoivent, et elles en vivent.
Tu peux partir en immersion au Canada ou aux Etats-Unis (également en NZ et Australie mais avec le billet d'avion, c'est plus cher),
les familles sont bénévoles mais l'organisation et l'assurance sont assez cheères;
cependant, certains programmes garantissent la présence d'un jeune.

C'est un petit organisme anglais, ils te trouvent une famille qui te correspond vraiment, grâce à un questionnaire assez détaillé sur tes attentes, etc.
Je suis partie d'abord en séjour linguistique (avec EF, grand organisme) pour 2 semaines : logement en famille d'accueil, cours le matin, sorties en groupe l'après-midi, soirée avec EF souvent. Les familles, dans ce cas, n'étaient pas forcément beaucoup avec nous, et elles faisaient le minimum en fait (c'est souvent plus pour l'argent que pour la rencontre qu'elles accueillent).
Ensuite, l'année suivante, je suis partie 2 semaines en immersion totale dans une famille d'accueil. Au début du séjour, j'ai eu un dossier avec des exercices. Je devais essayer de travailler un peu chaque jour, mais je m'organisais comme je voulais (pas de contrainte au niveau du nombre d'exercices, etc). C'était des petits exercices sympa, mais qui font tout de même réviser (ou voir de nouveaux points) de grammaire, vocabulaire, rédaction, etc. Je devais aussi tenir un carnet de bord en anglais, où je racontais chaque jour ce que j'avais fait. Une fois par semaine, un professeur anglais venait chez ma famille d'accueil pour regarder mes exercices, les corriger et voir si tout aller bien.
ça aide vraiment beaucoup d'être dans une famille d'accueil tout le temps, on apprend à parler beaucoup plus fluidement, on s'améliore côté prononciation/accent (la famille d'accueil me corrigeait certaines fautes que je faisais souvent à l'oral, et à la fin je ne les faisais plus ! :) ). J'ai eu une super famille d'accueil, ils m'emmenaient à des soirées (concert en plein air, concert dans des pub, etc), à la plage, magasins, sorties touristiques, etc. Et là, la famille faisait vraiment ça pour avoir un contact, partager leur culture, etc. J'ai d'ailleurs gardé contact avec eux par mail depuis et nous nous sommes revus.
Si tu te sens prêt à partir, n'hésite pas, ça apporte vraiment beaucoup au niveau de l'anglais et aussi de la maturité.
Pour ce qui est d'être dans une famille avec des ados du même âge, il suffit de demander au moment du questionnaire concernant la famille ou tout simplement en exprimant ta demande à Belaf par mail (ils sont très à l'écoute, très sympa).
Pour le voyage, tu pourras le faire en autonomie (c'est très bien organisé, pas de peur à avoir, c'est ce que j'ai fait (avion depuis Bruxelles jusque Poole), lorsque je suis arrivée à l'aéroport anglais, un taxi m'attendait direction la famille d'accueil, pareil pour le retour.

Je viens de penser à un autre truc: les jumelages: de nombreuses villes sont jumelées à des villes étrangères, dont généralement une où l'on parle anglais.
Pour les lycéens, cela inclut non seulement la commune de tes parents, mais aussi celle où tu vas au lycée.
Généralement, comme ce sont des échanges, les gens sont motivés... par l'échange (pas par l'argent), tu reçois l'autre personne (en général) donc ça crée des liens,
souvent un ado va dans une famille avec un ado puis vice-versa, et surtout c'est beaucoup moins cher.

Franchement c'est vraiment pas grand chose les exercices tu sais. J'ai fait tous les exercices en 1 semaine (j'en faisais un ou deux par jour) du coup, j'en avais plus la deuxième semaine. Tu as quel niveau en anglais ?
Non mais je me doute que c'est pas des exercices hyper dur (même si j'ai entre 6 et 7 de moyenne en anglais) mais c'est dans le principe car si y'a des exercices et une correction.... Ça doit justement faire gonfler le prix alors que je cherche un séjour vraiment pas cher :( (600 les 3semaines)
Ah oki, là c'est 800 euros les 2 semaines. Cela dit je serais curieuse de voir si tu trouves une immersion totale de 3 semaines pour 600 euros (repas, logement, sorties/visite inclus), à part si tu as des contact bien sur. Dans tous les cas il faut compter environ 1000e plus ou moins pour trois semaines héberger en famille d'accueil moi naïvement je pensais que des sites recensais des familles bilingues qui veuillent héberger des jeunes français mais enfaite non.. Donc j'avais en parler à mes parents et quitte à claquer 1000e autant prendre un organisme plus connu je pense..
Avec les média sociaux, il devrait être possible de te faire des contacts dans un milieu anglophone et d'accueillir un jeune de ton âge chez toi en échange d'un séjour chez lui l'année suivante. Essaie de convaincre tes parents de participer au projet.😉
