J'ai 19 ans et je suis actuellement en 1ère année de LEA (faculté de langue).
Tout se passe très bien, j'adore les langues mais j'ai des envies d'ailleurs, envie de rencontrer, connaitre, découvrir de nouvelles choses.
Alors je viens poser la question ici sur ce forum: Y'aurait-il un moyen de partir dans une famille d’accueil au Etats-Unis, ou autre chose qu'une famille d'accueil pendant une durée d'un an ou plus, et si possible continuer a étudier les langues ou alors travailler, tout me va.
J'aimerais partir l'année scolaire suivante pour me laisser le temps d'organiser tout ça.
Alors si quelqu'un pourrait m'aider, ce ne serait pas de refus, me donner des renseignements ou bien des sites internet fiables.

Le mieux c'est de partir en échange universitaire. Financièrement c'est intéressant car tu peux obtenir des bourses d'aide au départ et les étudiants étrangers sont souvent bien encadrés. En plus, tu rencontreras des étudiants de plusieurs nationalités.

Ta fac a probablement des partenariats avec des universités américaines. Regarde sur son site internet, c'est le meilleur endroit pour trouver des infos. En général, le partenariat dépend de ton domaine d'étude. Exemple: ta fac peut avoir un partenariat avec l'université XY pour les étudiants en langues mais pas pour les étudiants en communication. Si elle n'a pas de partenariat, il faut soit changer de fac soit se tourner vers un autre pays.
Pour partir en Amérique du Nord, tu dois impérativement passer le TOEFL (afin d'évaluer ton niveau d'anglais) car chaque université exige un score minimum.
Les services des relations internationales des universités organisent souvent des réunions à l'automne pour les étudiants intéressés par un départ à l'étranger l'année suivante. Je te conseille d'y assister même si tu ne penses partir que dans 2 ans. Le mieux reste de partir en Licence car en Amérique du Nord (et ailleurs), beaucoup de facs refusent les étudiants en Master car ils coutent trop cher. 😕

Moi mon niveau d'études va se porter a une licence (3 ans) donc pas de master.
Malheureusement ma faculté ne propose que de partir sur la 3 ème année et moi comme je l'ai dis j'ai des envies d'ailleurs.. Je ne dis pas sa sous le coup de l'impulsion, excitation etc.. Ça fais déjà depuis 2 ans que j'y pense.
Donc bon je ne sais pas du tout comment faire, je pense que pour moi une année a l'étranger sera beaucoup plus utile qu'une année dans une fac française.
Peut-être y'a t-il d'autres moyens ?
Tu peux partir en séjour linguistique mais c'est très cher (+-15000 euros pour 6 mois incluant cours + logement) et pas toujours super car il y a souvent pas mal de francophones et/ou alors le niveau des cours n'est pas génial ce qui freine la progression.
Tu peux aussi être "au pair" mais encore faut-il aimer s'occuper d'enfants et satisfaire aux conditions requises (expérience, permis de conduire...).
La dernière solution reste d'y aller pour un job d'été car tu amélioreras vraiment ton niveau de langue et, si tu n'es jamais parti longtemps, c'est déjà un premier pas. Et si tu veux partir en échange universitaire plus tard, ça sera un atout non négligeable pour ta candidature (niveau d'anglais + preuve de ton autonomie).
Faire un stage peut être aussi une bonne idée si ça rentre dans le cadre de ton cursus.
Après, à part un long séjour touristique, il n'y a pas d'autre choix notamment pour des questions de visa.
Tu as aussi la possibilité de partir dans le cadre du "programme vacances travail" (PVT) dans lequel tu alternes petits boulots et tourisme mais ça n'existe pas pour les États-Unis. Là il faut se tourner vers des pays comme le Canada, l'Australie...etc.
Salut. En effet, il y a plusieurs solution:
- Tu peux partir en tant qu'au paire. C'est une solution assez économique qui n'offre en revanche pas énormément de liberté, notamment sur le choix de la destination, du logement et de vos horaires de sortie.
- Pour intégrer une Université sur place, il faut partir avec un Visa F 1 et passer le TOEFL.
- Il est possible de partir pour un séjour linguistique de courte durée sans besoin de visa étudiant :http://www.voyage-langue.com/resultats/sejours-linguistiques-etats-unis-31
- Ou encore séjour linguistique de longue durée, avec éventuellement un stage sur place.
Dans tous les cas il n'est pas possible de travailler aux USA si facilement. Uniquement Stage étudiant et non rémunéré ou Job étudiant lors de la deuxième année d'études sur place.

After living for many years in the West (Belgium, Italy, Switzerland),
I’ve decided to return and settle in Cameroon, my home country.
Currently an entrepreneur in real estate and transport, I’m looking for a partner / partners / foundation to collaborate on an agriculture project, as I own 10 hectares of land.
The hectares have remained unused for years due to a lack of financial means, since the project requires what I’d call a considerable investment. As the main stakeholder, I have a minimal contribution to offer.

Our departure time is getting closer (we have less than 2 years left—it’s both a long time and so short!). To start preparing seriously, we’ll need quite a bit of info. If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).

Actually, I’m currently doing a postgraduate diploma in pediatric respiratory physiotherapy and want to specialize in that area.
