Moi et mon conjoint voulons aller à Punta Cana dans un bel hôtel pour fêter la fin d'un projet de travail qui a durée 2 ans à plus de 70 heures/semaine et fêter nos 5 ans ensemble😛
En fait, on veut se gâter ! Nous ne sommes pas un couple difficile (simplicité) et aimons la tranquilité en aimant un peu de vie le soir. Nous aimons avoir un bon service (qui ne parlent pas qu'en espagnol car malheureusement on se débrouille mais pas plus 😊)
Après avoir regarder pas mal tous les hôtels de la côte, le Catalonia Royal Bavaro (Adults Only) et le Dreams Palm Beach Punta Cana nous intéressent beaucoup.
Le Catalonia Royal Bavaro plus particulièrement à cause de ses piscines directement à la chambre, point négatif : il parraît que la nourriture laisse à désirer? Nous sommes pas vraiment difficle côté nourriture mais on aimerait bien manger tout de même. Est-ce que la nourriture est SI mauvaise? Est t-elle comparable à Cuba? J'ai aussi remarquer que les boissons tel que le vin, les coronas etc.. était payante? Est-ce que le vin locale est payant?
Le Dreams Palm Beach Punta Cana à cause de sa magnifique piscine et de la vue sur la mer (nous sommes comme des poissons dans l'eau... vous avez dû remarquer 😉)
Est-ce que la plage est calme dans ses hôtels?
Donnez-moi vos avis, ou bien un hôtel différent si vous croyez que ça nous correspondrait mieux que ces deux hôtels, gênez-vous pas!!

je viens de lire votre message, et pour être allée au catalonia royal bavaro, je peux vous dire que c'est le paradis
l'hôtel est très beau, avec de magnifiques jardins, et le royal bavaro est privé.
La piscine est privée et sans enfants, trés calme avec un bar au bord de la piscine et de beaux relax.
La chambre est grande, avec corbeille de fruit et champagne à l'arrivée, refrigérateur, lecteur dvd, peignoir et
chaussons, et la baignoire ronde dans la chambre est trés agréable. La plage est privée et il y a toujours des relax libres.
Les employés du bar vous apportent des boissons et des fruits tout au long de la journée.
Quand à la nourriture elle est super, surtout si vous mangez au royal bavaro.
Nous avons souvent mangé la bas et je peux vous dire que c'est exellent, vous choisissez votre vin, cacheté et de marque, ainsi que tous les alccols.
Vous pouvez manger de la langouste à tous les repas si vous le souhaitez, il y a vraiement de trés bonnes prestations, et ayant passés le reveillon
du 31 décembre, cela à été génial, avec tout ce qu'il fallait
Pour les animations, vous avez accès au catalonia, qui est plus festif, mais très agréable ausii.
Voilà, mais c'etait il y a quelques années, à l'heure actuelle, je ne sais pas, car je crois que l'hôtel a changé d'enseigne.
En espèrant vous avoir bien renseignée sur le royal bavaro.
Je suis également allée au Dreams, mais à cette époque il s'appelait le Casa Del Mar. Egalement bonne prestations, super ambiance, belle piscine et belle plage
avec de l'eau bleu turquoise, un vrai rêve. Bonne nourriture également

Pour l'instant on planifie toujours d'aller au Catalonia royal bavaro.
Je suis preneuse également pour quelques infos récentes sur le Catalonia Royal, disons de quelqu'un qui y est allé il n'y a pas trop longtemps car on sait que ça change vite. Je voulais savoir si le vin maison est buvable car habituellement il n'est pas bon et si pour pallier les vins qu'on peut acheter, ont un prix raisonnable. Je voudrais savoir également si on peut utiliser les installations et restaurants de la section Catalonia Bavaro (je sais que l'inverse ne se fait pas cependant). Voilà ! Merci ! Espérons réserver pour 2 semaines à partir du 20 janvier 2013.

Catalonia Royal Bavaro sans hésiter. Si la plage est importante pour vous, bien celle du dreams palm beach, à mon avis est la pire de Punta Cana, pour avoir marché devant presque tous les hotels de Punta Cana. Je suis allé au Catalonia bavaro en 2010 et j'ai bien aimé (Bonne bouffe, fruit de mer au buffet, belle plage). Resto à la carte illimité, sans réservation.
Merci beaucoup des informations mais finalement, pour ma part, nous avons décider d'aller voir une agence de voyages qui nous a proposé le "Majestic Elegance" car la plage du Royal Bavaro n'est pas belle (supposément rocailleux?)... d'après notre agente de voyage bien sûr !...
En tout cas, pour ma première fois à Punta Cana, on va essayer le Majestic Elegance avec chambre "swim-up" du 13 au 20 décembre 2012.. Espérant que nous n'avons pas fait le mauvais choix!
Peut-être à essayer un prochaine année le Catalonia Royal Bavaro avec sa belle chambre/piscine ;).
Nous sommes allés a l'hôtel voisin Catalonia Bavaro en 2011 et 2 de nos amis eux était logés au Catalonia Royal Bavaro et nos commentaires pour ces deux hôtels étaient les mêmes .
J'espèrent que çelà a changé depuis ce temps car de tout nos voyages destinations sud soit les 12 a Cuba , République Dominicaine , San Andrès , Panama , Mexique ,
c'est la pire hôtels pour la nourriture et pour les drinks ( Jamais d'alcool dans ceux-çi )
malgré les pourboires , j'ai du consulter un médecin pour la première fois en 12 ans de voyage diagnostic ( consomé viande mal cuite ) la viande crue ( même le poulet ) est gardé dans des comptoirs vitrés non ou mal réfrégéré et traine là des heures ( Pour vérifier on se met la main sur la vitre du comptoir et c'est aussi chaud que la température de la pièce )
Pour le reste rien a redire belle plage , belles chambres propres , personnel souriant et avenant , divertissement en soirée très bien .
C'est bizarre car l'année précédente nous sommes allés a Bayahibe au Catalonia Grand Dominicus un hôtel de la même chaine et c'est un des hôtels où nous avons le mieux aimés pour la nourriture qui y était excellente .
Quelques fois le gérant de l'hôtel change et la qualité du service s'en ressend et c'est une des causes qu'une année le service est excellent et que tout peut changer en quelques mois.
C'est pour cette raison que les commentaires sont souvent complètement a l'opposé l'un de l'autre.

Hey, I’d like to know which hotel in the south doesn’t force you to wake up at 4 AM just to reserve a shady chair, whether it’s at the beach or the pool.
I wanted to share a great discovery in the Marakele area because, in the end, this park doesn’t get talked about much compared to Kruger, even though it’s really worth the detour.
We discovered Cypiro Leopard Lodge, right next to Marakele National Park in the Waterberg. It’s a small property with just a few villas and suites, so it’s nothing like the big, crowded lodges. What we loved most was the feeling of being truly at the end of the world—lots of space, silence, and almost no one around.
And yet, it’s only about 3 hours from Johannesburg. Once you leave Joburg, the road is pretty straightforward, and you quickly find yourself in a much wilder Africa.
Marakele National Park was a huge surprise for us. There are plenty of animals, the Big Five are present, but best of all, very few people. At times, we drove for quite a while without seeing another car. It’s such a change from parks where you sometimes end up with 15 cars around one animal.
The landscapes are also stunning, with the Waterberg mountains, plains, and beautiful views from some of the trails.
We also learned on-site that Marakele is known for its very large Cape vulture colony—around 800 breeding pairs. When you climb into the mountains and see them soaring above, it’s pretty impressive.
The entire Waterberg region is actually a UNESCO-recognized biosphere reserve, and you quickly understand why once you’re there.
As for Cypiro, it’s a lodge that was recently taken over by French owners—really nice and approachable. The place is quite exclusive since there are very few accommodations. The villas and suites each have their own private pool, a wood-fired hot bath (like a KolKol), a braai, and an outdoor fireplace.
Evenings are especially lovely, especially with the peace and quiet all around.
Another thing we found really convenient: you can organize your stay however you like.
You can come self-catering and cook for yourself. There’s a supermarket in the nearby small town, practically on the way in, so you can do your shopping before arriving without making a big detour.
Or you can ask them to organize everything with breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. Their chef, Ernest, cooks really well, and it lets you completely unwind for a few days.
We liked being able to alternate: some quiet meals on our own and others prepared for us.
That’s actually one of the things we appreciated here—it’s not an ultra-formal lodge where everything is scheduled at fixed times. You can head out early to Marakele, come back for lunch, enjoy the pool, go back out in the late afternoon, then have a braai or a relaxed dinner in the evening.
In terms of price, we also found the value for money really good for this level of accommodation and especially for the very private feel of the place. Sometimes it feels like you’re in a much more expensive lodge.
If you’re looking for lots of activity and dozens of people around you, this probably isn’t the right spot.
But for peace, wildlife, nature, wide-open spaces, and that feeling of being a little alone in the world, we absolutely loved it.

And if anyone knows Marakele or the Waterberg well, I’d love to hear about other spots to discover in the area.
While digging through the archives 🔍, we discovered a 19th-century journal 📜 bearing the name: "Le Petit Baigneur, weekly journal of beaches, spa towns, and thermal resorts in the South of France", published as early as 1886. Its motto? "All for the baths and by the baths" 🏖️ — what a program!
We found the name so amusing that we chose it to rename our hotel: Hôtel Le Petit Baigneur!
140 years later, we’re carrying on this seaside tradition of the South of France in our own way 🏊♂️ — with a few fewer crinolines, but just as much love for the seaside. 😊

I found a hotel, the Kappa Club Crystal Bay Resort, and online reviews for this hotel recommend a guide named Omar. I contacted him via WhatsApp, and he's offering a 2-day, 1-night safari in Tsavo East, a "blue safari," and a Marafa Canyon day trip for 400 € per person.
I’m asking for help from people who’ve already done these excursions because I have no idea what these offers entail.

Hi everyone, I’m writing here because I’m really torn—I want to go on a trip. A vacation? 10 to 12 days, maybe 14 days. Starting March 14th. I’m in a wheelchair but completely independent. I was thinking of going to Martinique, but apparently, the hotels aren’t all-inclusive, which might be a hassle. If you have any advice, that’d be great. Otherwise, I was considering Mexico—a long-time dream. At an all-inclusive hotel with accessibility on one level (since I’m independent but in a wheelchair). Can anyone recommend 5 or 6 hotel names that meet the following criteria? (I’m not too picky, lol)

3. Beautiful beach and pool
4. Hotel for relaxing (no "factory hotels")
5. One-week stay in February 2026
6. A nice hotel (3 or 4 stars) but no need for an ultra-palace
Oh, and I almost forgot the main thing 😉: budget between 3500 € and 4000 € for two, including flights from Montreal-Mexico-Montreal.

For four nights with breakfast, our budget is around 1,400 € per couple. To avoid too much walking for him, I’d also prefer a hotel where we could potentially eat dinner in the evenings.

You can’t pay online there—you just submit a reservation request (enquiry).
The second is the NWR (Namibia Wildlife Resorts) site: https://www.nwr.com.na, where you *can* pay online.
Is the latter one reliable?

Bonjour nous arriverons dimanche 5 mai ( à partir de 16h25) à l'aéroport de Punta Cana pour profiter d'un séjour que mon amie à gagner à l’hôtel Gran Bahia Principe La Romana.
L'avion est offert par la compagnie aérienne, l'hôtel je pense par la chaine hôtelière, mais aujourd'hui je m’inquiète du transfert car aucune info et j'apprends que rien n'est prévu.
D’après ce que j'ai vu le dernier car expreso part de Punta Cana à 16h00
Y-a t'il d'autres moyens de transports collectif (guagua) qui puisse faire le trajet ou au moins nous avancer jusqu'à La Romana ou San Pedro de Marcoris et je pense qu'on finira le trajet en taxi.
Si c'est trop compliqué ça sera navette privée mais on est plus "lonely planet " que navette privée et hôtel tout inclus.

A ce jour elles n apparaissent plus sur mon compte Booking , j en ai informé par mail le service clients mais ce dernier ne repond pas ...donc impossible d annuler ces reservations....Quelqu un a t il connu ce probleme et l a t il resolu ???
