Je suis nouvelle sur le forum et j'espère trouver des réponses à mes interrogations.
Tout d'abord une petite présentation : je m'appelle Charlotte et j'ai 15 ans, je rentre en 1ES. J uis depuis toujours passionnée de voyage, de langues étrangères, de découverte de nouvelles cutures... Je crois ben que je suis née pour ça ! Mais bon je n'ai ps la chance d'être née dans une famille de cadres qui partirait chaque été visiter ls 4 coins du monde (et je n'ai rien contre ces gens là, je trouve ça très bien qu'ils profitent de leur argent, ça sert à ça !). Je suis particulièrement passionnée par les Etats-Unis. En fait, même sans y avoir jamais été, je sens que ce pays serait MON lieu idéal Je passe mon temps sur des blogs de filles au par, ES... Et aussi à me renseigner très sérieusement aux différentes manières de ouvoir partir sans trop attendre (j'en peux plus d'attendre !).
J'ai très récemment trouvé une solution qui me parait être idéale. Le Rotary propose un programme d'été en immersion complète. Cela consiste à partir dans une famille d'accueil 4 semaines, puis à accueillir par la suite le jeune de cette famille 4 semaines chez soi. On a à notre charge le transport et l'assurance, et seulement 130€ de frais d'agence. J'ai envoyé un mail au Rotary de ma région pour en savoir plus, mais pour l'instant je n'ai reçu aucune réponse... Je l'attend pourtant impatiemment !
Auiez-vous des informations sur ce programme ? Des témoignages ? Ou autre...
J'aurais aussi plusieurs questions sur le fait de partir un an dans une Highschool aux USA sans organisme. Tout d'abord est-ce possible ? J'ai cru voir que oui sur un article de ce forum, à condition bien sûr d'avoir une famille en qui on a confiance (pour être sûr de ne pas avoir de problème de rematch).
J'ai donc une question sur le coût : est-ce que cela revient moins cher que de passer par un organisme ? En additionnant le coût de l'école publique (quel est-il?) + le coût de l'assurance santé (idem ?) + Visa (idem ?), à combien ça peut revenir ?
Ah oui, je voudrais aussi savoir si quelqu'un est au courant si on perd ses bourses en partant après la terminale une année. Car je sais que si on redouble une année dans nos études supérieures ou qu'on abandonne les études on les perd.
Aucune autre questionme vient en tête pour le moment.

J'adore lire ce genre de message, surtout lorsque tu dis que tu es passionnée par les voyages & "née pour ça", je me reconnais vraiment là dedans.
Je suis un peu comme toi, ma famille ne m'a jamais fait voyagé, et avant mes 18 ans je n'étais jamais partie en vacances. Mais à force de persévérance, j'ai réussi à réaliser mon rêve : voyager à l'étranger pendant un an. Au départ, je souhaitais être jeune fille au pair, et puis, en postant des annonces sur internet comme tu le fais, j'ai été contacté par une agence de jeune professeur / jeune au pair en Chine. Après de longue discussion & après m'être beaucoup renseigné, je suis finalement partie vivre 1 an dans une ville du sud de la Chine. J'avais quelques appréhension, mais au final, c'était une année géniale durant laquelle j'ai rencontré des gens du Monde entier et j'ai découvert une culture & un pays magnifique. Le voyage ne m'a rien coûté mis à part les billets d'avion. L'agence m'a vite trouvé une famille d'accueil, avec qui j'ai encore contact aujourd'hui. Une fois sur place, j'ai trouvé un job à l'université comme professeur de Français & j'ai pris des cours de Chinois gratuitement (en échange de mes cours de Français) avec d'autres étrangers. Dans ma classe il y avait des gens de tous les pays : USA, Corée, Japon, Russie etc... Bref, j'aurai beaucoup de chose à dire sur ce voyage, cette année à l'étranger. J'ai tellement aimé ça que j'ai décidé d'arrêter mes études (j'avais 18 ans) et de continuer dans cette voix. En Chine, j'avais fais la connaissance d'une famille chinoise qui vivait en Australie depuis quelques années, et elle m'a proposé de venir passer 1 an en Australie lorsque je voulais ! Et je prépare mon voyage, je pars à la fin de l'année !
Comment je me suis payé tout ça ? J'ai enchaîné les petits boulots, j'ai travaillé. Et pour trouver ces bons plans, je me suis fais des relations, j'ai passé des journées à fouiller sur des sites.
Et moi j'adore lire ce genre de réponses qui montrent que tout est possible quand on a de la volonté ! 🙂

Pour ce qui est du prix que tu as payé, c'est absoument ce que j'aime chez le Rotary : le voyage ne coûte que les billets d'avion (ou presque). u es partie avec quelorganisme ?
Tu parlais déjà chinois avant de partir ou tu as tout appris sur place ? Toutes ces rencontres internatonales me font rêver. Toutes ces personnes qui n'auraient jamais du se rencontrer... et pourtant !
L'Australie, j'adorerais visiter ce pays ! Tu vas y faire quoi (trouver un emploi ?). En tous cas la famille qui t'accueille est très généreuse !
Et même si je dois faire passer l'argent de mon noël, mon anniversaire et une partie de mes bourses pour avoir la joie de réaliser mon rêve, je le ferais !
Pour ce qui en es de mon projet, j'attend toujours une réponse ! Apparemment le Rotary est très long à répondre. Mais j'ai réenvoyé le même mail que celui de mon club au centre de la eunesse rotaryenne. J'espère obtenir davantage d'infos !
En attendant je me suis inscrite sur un forum principalement cotoyé que par des jeunes en échange rotary. Mais tous ceux qui m'ot répondu sont partis une année. C'est quand mêetrès enrichissant de voir leurs témoignages, et d'voir des infos sur l'administration du rotary.
Je pense que de toute façon, si je n'a pas de réponse, j'appellerais le club en septembre (ils doivent être débordés en ce moment, avec les arrivées et les départs d'échange).
Je te tiendrais au courant de l'évolution de mon projet sur cet article. 😉

Pour répondre à tes questions, je suis partie avec l'association "Dragoncharm", une association de jeune fille au pair en Chine que j'ai trouvé par hasard en fouillant sur internet.
Pour répondre à tes questions :
- Je ne parlais pas du tout Chinois, à peine Anglais, j'ai tout appris sur place ! (même l'Anglais, ambiance internationale oblige !)
- En Australie, je vais être jeune fille au pair dans la famille de mes amis, et je vais chercher un autre job en parallèle.
J'ai une amie qui est partie avec le Rotary à Taiwan & à une époque, je lisais le blog d'une fille qui était partie, toujours avec le Rotary, au Japon. Dans les 2 cas, les filles étaient + que ravie de l'expérience.
Prend ton mal en patience et renseigne toi sur les autres moyens de voyager en attendant !
C'est un vrai échange culturel alors : tu leur fait décourir ta langue et ta culture et ils te font découvrir les leur ! 🙂 Tu me fais rêver 😉.
En fait quand je dis que je veux partir aux USA (ou même autre part), les gens s'imaginent que c'est our les langues. En effet, j'adore les langues, je veux faire des études de langue et je souhaite en faire mon métier... mais je pars 100 fois plus pour découvrir une nouvelle culture et des nouvelles personnes, pour me remettre en question, pour m'amener à réfléchir sur ma vie... C'est pour dire à quel point ça compte pour moi!
Qu'as-tu pensé de la langue chinoise ? Elle est difficile à apprendre ?

J'ai également lu des blogs de jeunes partis ainsi. Et je me dis que je veux vivre tous ces moments qu'eles vivent, les bons comme les mauvais (qui rendent plus fort). Mais avant je voudrais faire une expérience courte durée (un échange d'été). Et si j'arrive à convaincre mes parents (d'abord il faut que je les convainque pour l'té prochain ! 🤪 Mais c'est bien parti 🙂) j'adorerais partir un an après mon BAC. Soit aux USA (forcément !), mais la Suède m'attire de plus en plus. Quand je vois des témoignages de jeunes partis là-bas c'est 🙂 ! Les paysages, les cours, les actvités d'hiver, le fait de découvrir une nouvelle langue...

For some time now, I’ve been seriously considering moving to the United States. My long-term goal is to practice medicine in the U.S., with a particular interest in forensic pathology. Our departure time is getting closer (we have less than 2 years left—it’s both a long time and so short!). To start preparing seriously, we’ll need quite a bit of info. If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).

Actually, I’m currently doing a postgraduate diploma in pediatric respiratory physiotherapy and want to specialize in that area.
