Hi everyone, We’re heading to Québec for 4 days in Montréal and 4 days in Québec City from April 18 to April 22. I’ve been looking but can’t find any excursions—any tips for seeing belugas or other whales? If it’s really off-season and impossible to find anything, what else can we do in the area instead? Thanks in advance!

Hi, Whales and other cetaceans are still "down South" (like the Gulf of Mexico) at this time of year!! So you’ll have to come back in the summer for whales!! Not far from Montreal, if you want to see animals, you could take a trip to Omega Park

Thanks so much for this answer—it settles the debate! And we’ve actually planned to visit Parc Omega when we’re in Montreal. Would Ottawa be worth the detour since we’re not far away? Thanks in advance

hi, Ottawa is nice to visit, especially the Canadian Museum of History (Canadian Museum of History) with its famous totem pole collection. You could also do a loop: Montreal → Ottawa → Gananoque (in the Thousand Islands region). Montreal The Thousand Islands region is really nice, along the St. Lawrence River, and you can take cruises on the river—I think they start in early April.

Happy planning!

Hi there,

Just a quick note to let you know that the official language of Quebec is French. So, it's more appropriate to write "Ville de Québec" rather than "Québec City."

Have a great stay!
