Actuellement étudiant en seconde année de BTS Travaux publics et préparant mon diplome pour cette année, je m'interroge sur les possibilités de travailler dans ces domaines en Nouvelle Calédonie. En effet ne supportant pu les gens de métropole part leurs façon d'être je souhaite totalement et definitivement quitter ce monde de fou. Les gens ici sont vraiment formaliste et ne s'ouvrent pas aux personnes... bref ce n'est qu'un point de vue personnel.
Je pensais partir m'installer en guyane mais j'ai rencontré deux calédonniens avec qui je me suis lié d'amitié et je suis tombé amoureux de votre caillou, par sa chaleur et l'état d'esprit dans lequel vous vivez. Dorénavent, je ne pense qu'à une chose, c'est terminer mes études, me faire un peu d'expérience et par la même occasion un peu d'argent pour pouvoir démarrer sur un bon pied en nouvelle calédonie.
J'ai énormement discuté avec mes amis avant qu'ils ne repartent chez eux, nous sommes resté ensemble pendant 1 an d'etude, et j'ai donc ainsi pu leur posé toutes mes questions (problème d'intégration, logement...) l'un étant un kanaky de lifou et le second de païta.
Ma question est donc la suivante : Est-il difficile de trouver un emploi dans les travaux publics sachant que cette formation n'est pas enseignée en nouvelle calédonie? Ce diplome me permettrait d'être :chef de chantier, technicien de laboratoire, topographe ou geometre voir conducteur de travaux dans une petite entreprise. Est-difficile en ayant un niveau d'expérience < 2 ans?
J'envisage d'effectuer une troisieme année dans les ouvrages maritime ce qui pourrait être un plus dans mon CV et m'offrirait une qualification en plus pour mon avenir en NC.

les gars des iles sont souvent des "casse pas la tête" "pas de problème man" " tu vas woir c super cool la vie labas"....
la réalité est tout autre, démarrer ds la vie prof en tant que chef de chantier, fo pas trop rêver !! meme en NC.
Bosse dès que possible ici ou labas, prends ce qu'on te donne, fais toi une expérience prof. et ensuite envisage un statut de chef de chantier
Les chefs de chantiers ds les TP, il y en a certainement plus qu'il n'en faut, et des BTS la NC en regorge aussi.
Faut pas prendre à la légère une expatriation comme celle ci, j'ai trop vu de gars finir ds des squatts de Ducos, au canabis ts les soir, avec des canettes de bieres pour seul repas et se demandant comment rentre chez eux, à Dunkerke, à Douai ou a Beauvais.
Mon bateau était au mouillage à numbo, donc au fil du temps j'en ai rencontré des jeunes métro, des déçus et des moins heureux. Ceci étant écrit, tu peux très bien réussir ton intégration, je ne prétend pas tout savoir non plus....
Merci d'avoir pris le temps de répondre à mon post, il est biensur evident que je ne trouverais pas de poste de chef de chantier en sortie d'études. Il faut acquérir l'expérience du terrain avant de pouvoir inspirer à devenir chef de chantier que ce soit en france, NC ou tous les autres pays.
Mon BTS me forme à ce futur métier mais il n'est que théorique, en rien nous avons l'expérience du chantier. C'est pour cela qu'il faut faire ces preuves et j'en suis bien conscient. La question que je posais dans le post précedent est donc à considerer pour le long terme.
Merci encore pour ta réponse franche et honnete, il est clair que ce n'est pas une mince affaire que d'arriver sans rien quelques part, c'est un gros défit qu'il faut penser et anticiper sur tous les plans avant de partir, et ne pas y aller sur un coup de tête.
c'est la vie est pas ultra cool mais ya des chance de boulot quand même pour quelqu'un de qualifié et sérieux tente ta chance avec la colas, jean lefèvre pacifique, Dumez, egp warja, ACTB recherche dans l'annuaire web les entreprises du btp. il y a encore du travail ici surtout pour les mines on est pas encore sinistré et les gens sérieux nous manque souvent on préfère un jeune sérieux et motivé qu un expérimenté non chalent!!!

mais surtout ne cède pas au sirène à venir au petit bonheur la chance car la vie est très chère et il n'y a pas d'aide.

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
