J'ai le souhait depuis plusieurs années de m'évader à Montreal, je me suis un peu renseigné sur les modalité de visa, mais c'est un peu un cercle vicieux, puisque en fait, il faut absolument trouver un boulot pour obtenir un visa et pour avoir un boulot en général on demande un visa.
Je suis pret à tenter une expèrience étudiante que ce soit à Mc GILL ou à l'université de Montreal mais il faut un diplôme d'anglais d'accés à l'université du type Toefle ou First mais à vrai dire je suis assez nul en anglais.
D'ailleurs celà représente une des raisons pour lesquelles je veux m'essayer à la vie Montrealaise. Cette ville me parait une bonne alternative pour apprendre l'anglais en douceur.
Au fait, j'aurais bien voulu savoir si il est possible de travailler dans le millieu de la communication Québècquoise pour un petit français comme moi qui n'a pas un niveau top en anglais mais qu'en je dis pas top c'est pas top du tout...
Enfin j'aurais voulu savoir simplement, si il existe des écoles véritablement enrichissantes dans le secteur de la publicité ou encore du travail.
Sinon j'aurais bien voulu connaître votre avis, vos suggestions ou encore mieux vos solutions.

Essaie de voir avec ton université s'il existe des echanges ou ententes avec une université quebecoise.
Effectivement, si tu veux etudier à McGill, il te faudra passer un test d'anglais, sinon tu devras suivre des cours afin d'atteindre un niveau d'anglais suffisant.
Si tu veux vraiment apprendre l'anglais par immersion, évite Montreal. Il te saura trop facile d'utiliser le francais lorsqu'une difficulté se presentera et en bout de compte tu ne maitriseras pas rapidement la langue.

En fait, je suis issu d'une formation qui n'a rien à voir avec l'université, j'ai un BTS celà correspond à un niveau de 2 ans après le CJEP (Bac + 2) et en ce moment je suis en 3eme année.
Dans ma ville il n'y a pas beaucoup de formation de ce type et encore moins de jumellage entre établissements d'enseignement.
Je me doute que Montreal ne permet pas l'immertion totale mais mon départ est aussi motivé par une envie d'émmigration, j'aime le mode de vie nord américain mais j'ai été d'autant plus séduit par la mentalité Québèquoise.
C'est pourquoi j'imagine que la ville de Montreal représente une formidable alternative pour se familliariser avec l'anglais.
Je comprends ta démarche de m'ouvrir les yeux sur certaines réalités mais je suis déterminé et désormais je cherche les bon plan pour partir en toute sérénité.
Donc, voilà, je solicite toutes les personnes qui aurait eu une bonne expèrience à Montreal, ou encore des Québècquois qui aurait des infos à me faire par.

Il est possible d'obtenir un visa d'une durée d'1an, non renouvable, cela s'appel un "PVT" qui veut dire: Permis, Vacances, Travail.
Il suffit d'aller sur le site ABM.Canada.fr ou . com et tu peut te laisser guider en douceur.
C'ast comme ca que je part le 13/09 pour une durée d'1an
Moi je suis a la recherche d'un job dans le batiment"plombier" si tu peut avoir des trucs.
J'espere que tu arrivera a mettre ton projet a terme et que, j'ai put t'aider un peut.
je crois quun visa detude permet de rester plus longtemps quun visa de travaille.. et plus facile a renouveller jimagine.. ca faudrait vraiment voir de plus pres.. a mcgill en passant.. tous les cours sont en aglais mais on peut ecrire les examens et remettre tous les travaux en francais ce qui pourra certainement taider... ou moins ca toffre une transition plus progressive... aussi.. normalelment ou du moins a mcgill ( jy suis en passant.. haha) il permette au etudiant etranger de travailler sur le campus...( jimagine meme sils nont quun visa detude.. jimagine quil y a des entente pour.. bref..) le nombre de place est limite mais bon cest toujours faisable..

Comme tu peux voir c'est bcp plus cher pour les étrangers mais ça se fait. Je sais que de mon côté je vais étudier à l'étranger mais avec un échange interuniversitaire, comme ça j'aurai les mêmes frais qu'au Québec... Pour ce qui est du buget pour Montreal, ça dépend vraiment de ton rhytme de vie, es-tu excessif ou non?... J'ai aussi une suggestion si tu veux apprendre l'anglais. Il y a l'université Bishop's dans un petit patelin qui s'appelle lennoxville. La ville est principalement étudiante et agricole, il y a environ 10 à 20 000 habitants et c'est très majoritairement anglais, surtout si tu va en campagne. Le logement et la vie en générale est bcp moins chère alors il reste seulkement à voir si tu recherche la ville ou pas. Il y a aussi un collège anglais qui s'appelle Champlain dans la même ville, moins coûteux et pas vraiment besoin d'être top en anglais (je connais des gens qui parlent beaucoup moins bien en anglais que moi et qui ont étudiés 2 ans là-bas). Voilà donc leur site respectif.
Finalement je viens de me rendre compte que tu t'intéresse à la publicité en relisant ton premier message, dans ce cas je peux te dire que l'université de Sherbrooke (où j'habite) a une bonne réputation coté administration et marketing... D'ailleurs j'ai quelques vieux amis qui étudient là présentement alors si tu veux des infos directes je pourrais les contacter. Voilà aussi le site de cette université, qui est française en passant.

Je ne sais pas si tu as eu réponse à tes questions, je m'essaye quand même...
Je crois que oui, il est possible pour un français de travailler en communications à Montréal, en autant que tu sois prêt à faire ta place. J'étudie présentement à l'Université de Montréal (UdeM) en communications et plusieurs de mes profs viennent d'ailleurs (France, Maroc, Afrique, États-Unis, etc.), mais ça reste un domaine très compétitif, comme partout d'ailleurs.
Pour ce qui est de l'étude de la pub, tu as plusieurs option. Il y a un diplôme de publicité à l'Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) qui est très populaire. Il faut avoir d'excellents résultats scolaires pour y entrer, c'est super contingenté. À l'UdeM, il y aussi un diplôme en pub, moins long (un an) qui s'appelle le certificat et c'est généralement assez facile de s'y inscrire... Ces deux universités francophones n'ont évidemment pas la même approche, mais ça c'est à voir dans leurs descriptions de programmes.
Je ne connais malheurement pas très bien les programmes de pub à McGill, mais je suis de l'avis de Nicky. Plusieurs de mes amis sont allés à cette université dans le but d'améliorer leur anglais et n'ont pas eu les résultats escomptés compte tenu du grand nombre d'étudiants francophones qui y vont.

Actually, I’m currently doing a postgraduate diploma in pediatric respiratory physiotherapy and want to specialize in that area.
