Cela faisait 18 mois que je séjournais aux USA en tant que jeune fille au pair sous le visa J1, je suis revenue il y a environ 2 semaines car mon contrat avec l'agence au pair s'est terminé.
Durant mon séjour, j'ai rencontré mon copain qui est d'origine saoudienne et qui réside maintenant là-bas (Los Angeles) depuis 6 ans. J'ai donc décidé de mes études là-bas à UCLA (une université de Los Angeles) pour faire le programme "Business Administration with Concentration Entrepreneurship" mais avant cela, il me faut passer le TOEFL (qui est le test de référence dans le monde universitaire pour justifier de votre niveau d'anglais et intégrer une formation dispensée en anglais) et donc, qui est demandé par l'université. J'ai donc fait l'inscription d'une école de langue là-bas pour améliorer mon anglais et me préparer au test du TOEFL pour pouvoir intégrer l'université.
Arrivé en France, j'ai eu mon entretien au consulat 3 jours après. J'ai présenté tous mes documents. L'entretien s'est déroulé en anglais. La personne qui m'a reçu ne m'a posé que de simples questions:
-Que faite-vous ici ?
-Combien de temps êtes-vous resté aux USA ?
-Où exactement ?
-Que faisiez-vous là-bas ?ff
Je n'ai fait que répondre aux questions sans mettre l'appuie sur mon intention d'aller étudier par la suite à l'université après l'école de langue (mon erreur). refus immédiat, raison:
-Votre anglais est suffisamment bon pour une école d'anglais.
Après ça, j'ai renouvelé une demande (même demande, visa F1) en pensant les convaincre mieux en développant mon idée d'université pour revenir aider mon père en France (J'ai apporté une lettre de mon père avec son numéro d'entreprise qui explique mon intention de venir collaborer avec lui après mon séjour d'étude aux USA).
Le jour J, on me pose les mêmes questions, je défend à fond mes idées, intentions, je propose la lettre, ils n'en veulent pas, refus n°2. Raison:
-Vous avez déjà fait cette demande.
J'ai pourtant tout donné à cet entretien.
J'ai dépensé au total environs 400€ pour avoir ces rdv, moi qui n'étant pas de Paris, j'ai du payé les frais de déplacement mais ça tout le monde s'en fou bien entendu. Bref, je sors de cet entretien en pleure. J'apprend suite à ça, de tous les cotés par les sois disant "connaisseur" en visa que je suis bonne pour rester en France.
Je reconnais maintenant que mon erreur a été de me précipiter sur une demande de visa étudiant à peine arrivée en france après un séjour d'un an et demi là bas mais je dois avouer que je n'ai pas réfléchi, j'étais loin de m'imaginer tout ça. Je devais commencer l'école de langue le 24 avril et j'avais déjà prit mon billet de retour là-bas pour le 28 mars prochain (dans 3 semaines) chose que je n'ai bien évidemment pas préciser lors de l'entretien.
Maintenant c'est cuit pour moi, du moins en ce qui concerne les demandes de visa quelconque. Mon copain va faire appel à un avocat, il y croit beaucoup (moi pas.)
La question que je me pose concerne l'ESTA. j'ai lu quelque part que l'ESTA nous est systématiquement refusé si un visa nous a été refusé avant. Est-ce vrai ?
Voyez-vous une solution à cette situation ?

Concernant l'ESTA, effectivement avec un refus de visa tu ne peux plus bénéficier du programme d'exemption de visa.
A la question :
F) Vous a-t-on déjà refusé un visa américain dont vous avez fait la demande avec votre passeport actuel ou un ancien passeport OUI - NON
il faudra répondre OUI, et avec un OUI, l'ESTA sera refusé automatiquement.
Et inutile de mentir à cette question, les 2 refus de visa sont enregistrés.
L'erreur vient peut-être du fait de vouloir passer le TOEFEL aux Etats Unis. Tu aurais pu le passer en France, attendre les résultats et t'inscrire dans une université américaine après....
Je pense que pour le moment il faut attendre un peu avant de refaire une nouvelle demande.

Ce n'est pas vrai. Si ton projet est solide en soit, avoir un copain/copine américain n'est pas un problème.
Je connais des tas de gens avec la même situation, ils n'ont jamais eu de problèmes.
Dans ce cas, la précipitation de ton projet à été fatale.

Donc si je comprends bien, la seule chose qui me reste à faire serait d'attendre pour envoyer une nouvelle demande de visa. Mais aurais-tu une idée du temps d'attente idéal pour éviter un troisième refus ? Devrais-je renouveler une demande pour le même visa avec les mêmes raisons ?
Oui, effectivement je me suis vite rendue compte de mon erreur, ça sert aussi à ça d'en faire... Malheureusement j'aurais aimé l'avoir su plus tôt mais aillant été pleine de joie à l'idée d'intégrer une école, d'être auprès de mon copain... À Los Angeles, j'imaginais déjà pleins de choses, j'ai vite été rempli d'ambitions et d'idées grâce à lui et la vie que j'avais là-bas et aussi j'y ai toutes mes affaires, mon dressing, compte bancaire, forfait téléphone, amis, Amour.... j'avais vraiment ma petite vie là-bas depuis un an et demi. donc j'ai voulu tout faire vite et comme on me disait souvent "plus vite ce sera fait mieux ce sera!" Me voilà maintenant confronté aux aléas de la vie. J'imagine que ça fait partie de l'aventure mais j'aimerais désormais mieux me préparer pour la prochaine demande car je ne veux vraiment pas lâcher l'affaire, je dois rejoindre cet homme, nous avons beaucoup à faire ensemble....

Je crains que tu aies à attendre 1 a 2 bonnes années avant de retenter quoique ce soit. Deux refus en si peu de temps avec 2 projets différents, ça ressemble a de l'immigration illégale.
Les projets étaient les mêmes aux deux entretiens. J'ai juste appuyé un peu plus sur l'idée de l'Université au deuxième entretien qu'au premier.

Plusieurs problèmes
1° tu peux passer le TOEFL en France, avec 18 mois aux USA normalement tu dois décrocher au moins 80 voire 90 points en t'entrainant toute seule dans ta chambre.
2° UCLA... coûte 60.000 dollars par an. Ils ont pu enquêter et voir que tu ne disposais pas de cette somme, et en déduire que tu voulais immigrer illégalement.
CSULA (qui est une université un peu pourrie, genre moins de 10% des étudiants ont leur diplôme en 4 ans...) coûte moins cher mais 30.000 quand même.
Tu peux aussi faire community college -> CSU.
Tu peux te rapprocher et aller au Canada.
Prépare ton TOEFL, passe-le, et en attendant postule à un programme Vancouver. (Les dates étaient souvent au 1er mars donc il ne te reste peut-être pas beaucoup de possibilités). Là-bas, "college" = community college donc entrée non sélective et tu auras moins de souci pour le visa à condition d'avoir un projet d'études bien pensé.

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
