Je me permet de m'adresser à vous car après avoir été très bien renseigné sur nos précdents séjours le forum m'est apparu comme incontournabe, même si il fau savoir faire lapart des choses entre toutes les infos qui y sont données ! 😎
Nous hésitons donc sur notre prochain lieu de séjour en République Dominicaine.
Nous cherchons à partir en Mars 2009.
Nos critères de choix sont :
un changement de région puisque nous avons déjà en été en Janvier 2007 à Punta dans l'excellent hotel Bavaro Princess et que puisque la Républque Dominicaine a la chance d'avoir des régions bien différentes les unes des autres autant passer d'une à l'autre pour les découvrir en changeant donc d'hotel de séjour.
un bon hotel en formule "all inclusive" avec de bonnes prestations, relativement étalé en surface d'occupations des installations, et au sein d'un beau parc, pour éviter des bâtiments trop imposants et avoir ainsi un cadre de séjour agréable. Le carde aux alentours proches est aussi un critère non négligeable pour nous !!
une belle plage sans avoir des coraux partout et tout le long, et donc nous cherchons la possibilité de nous baigner sans réelle gêne.
un hotel avec une animation discrète et pas tapageuse car entre nous nous trop de "bruit" çà nous ferait plutôt fuir.
des tarifs pas trop chers quand même.
En fait nous hésitions au départ entre 3 hotels :
pour la région de Bayahibe, après avoir pris un peu peur de l'atmosphère un peu trop trépidante qui devait rêgner au Viva Wyndham Palace, nous avions plutôt pensé à l'hotel Oasis Canoa (l'idéal aurait été l'Iberostar Hacienda Dominicus mais il est trop cher pour nous). Mais d'après des commentaires et des photos rendues accessibles par un des membre du forum qui y a été cette année, Chibani, une partie de cet hotel a donc pris feu cette année. Donc j'imagine qu'avec le rythme dominicain des dégats seront encore bien apparents en Mars 2009, vous ne pensez-pas ? De plus concernant les prestations j'ai du mal à me faire une idée. Il serait dommage qu'après le séjour de rêve que nous avons fait à Punta Cana au Bavaro Prinncess nous soyions déçus.
pour la région de Samana, nous avions pensé à l'hotel Gran Bahia El Portillo ou le Club Lookéa Samana.
Bien entendu pour ces 2 régions nous sommes ouverts à d'autres hotels que vous pourriez nous proposer ! 😉

Le probleme du canoa, ce n'est pas l'incendie. Le batiment qui a brulé n'etait pas en usage et cela ne pose pas de probleme. Ce qui a brulé c'est le toit de paille et il est en train d'etre refait.
Le "probleme" c'est qu'il est vieillot et malgré la restauration cela ne sera jamias tip top.
Cela dit j'y retournerai sans hesiter.
Si l'iberostar est hors budget, tu peux essayer le thomas cook village = catalunia hotel.

Mais quand tu me conseilles de voir du côté du "Thomas Cook Village" et que tu me dis qu'il s'appelle aussi "catalunia", ne s'agit-il pas plutôt du "Catalonia Gran Dominicus" ?? 😉
Sinon par hasard tu n'aurais pas entendu parler du "Gran Bahia Principe El Portillo" ? 😛
EDIT : Bon je viens d'aller vérifier et à première vue çà correspond bien à çà, mais qu'ai-je vu en regardant bien :
Attention : Animation soutenue à destination de la clientèle à 90 % italienne (chaîne hôtelière italienne Ventaglio).
Alors pour la tranquilité que nous recherchons, ouah çà doit faire mal !! 🤪

C'est exacte, l'animation y est tres ..animée. et italienne.
Au canoa, l'animation ne derange pas ceux qui veulent se relaxer.
Hum rien de tel pour nous faire fuir que ce type d'animation, certainement du même type que le Wydham Dominicas beach alors !! 😛
Sinon pour le Canoa, quelque chose me dit qu'il vaudrais mieux attendre les travaux prévus dont j'ai entendu parlé en espérant une remise à neuf ! 😇
J'avais aussi pensé à l'ex Sunscape Casa del mar, mais il semblerait qu'avec son rachat et son étoile en + les tarifs ne soient aussi montés jusqu'aux étoiles !! 😕
Je crois que je vais nous diriger plutôt du côté de Samana avec le Grand Bahia Principe El Portillo qui me parait avoir pas mauvaise réputation ! 😉

At all-inclusive resorts, base salaries are extremely low for 10- to 12-hour workdays. Tips aren’t just a little extra—they often make up half of these families’ income.
Personally, I always prepare an envelope with euro bills in different denominations before I leave (they exchange them easily on-site). Here’s my method:
🛏️ For housekeeping: I leave a bill on the pillow every morning since schedules rotate daily.
🍽️ For servers: I always sit at the same table. At the end of the trip, I give an envelope to each server who took care of us daily.
🎉 For entertainment: I set aside an envelope for the animator who put in the most effort and really touched me.

For my husband's 50th birthday, we're going to Mombasa for 10 days and 8 nights in March 2026.
I found a hotel, the Kappa Club Crystal Bay Resort, and online reviews for this hotel recommend a guide named Omar. I contacted him via WhatsApp, and he's offering a 2-day, 1-night safari in Tsavo East, a "blue safari," and a Marafa Canyon day trip for 400 € per person.
I’m asking for help from people who’ve already done these excursions because I have no idea what these offers entail.

I was thinking of going to Martinique, but apparently, the hotels aren’t all-inclusive, which might be a hassle. If you have any advice, that’d be great. Can anyone recommend 5 or 6 hotel names that meet the following criteria? (I’m not too picky, lol)
1. All-inclusive
2. Adults-only
3. Beautiful beach and pool
4. Hotel for relaxing (no "factory hotels")
5. One-week stay in February 2026
6. A nice hotel (3 or 4 stars) but no need for an ultra-palace
Oh, and I almost forgot the main thing 😉: budget between 3500 € and 4000 € for two, including flights from Montreal-Mexico-Montreal.

Hi there, I’m a 43-year-old woman planning to travel solo in early March. I’m not really into "commercial resorts," but if I find a place that fits my criteria, I might be interested. To add to the info in the title, I’m open to various activities, but ideally, it’d include snorkeling, hiking, dance (every evening if possible!), group tours, etc. I’d love to meet people (not necessarily a man—just people in general!). We’ll be in Venice from March 20th to 24th, and I’m looking (for two couples) for a hotel close to St. Mark’s Square—my husband can’t walk long distances. For four nights with breakfast, our budget is around 1,400 € per couple. To avoid too much walking for him, I’d also prefer a hotel where we could potentially eat dinner in the evenings.

You can’t pay online there—you just submit a reservation request (enquiry).
The second is the NWR (Namibia Wildlife Resorts) site: https://www.nwr.com.na, where you *can* pay online.
Is the latter one reliable?

Bonjour nous arriverons dimanche 5 mai ( à partir de 16h25) à l'aéroport de Punta Cana pour profiter d'un séjour que mon amie à gagner à l’hôtel Gran Bahia Principe La Romana.
L'avion est offert par la compagnie aérienne, l'hôtel je pense par la chaine hôtelière, mais aujourd'hui je m’inquiète du transfert car aucune info et j'apprends que rien n'est prévu.
D’après ce que j'ai vu le dernier car expreso part de Punta Cana à 16h00
Y-a t'il d'autres moyens de transports collectif (guagua) qui puisse faire le trajet ou au moins nous avancer jusqu'à La Romana ou San Pedro de Marcoris et je pense qu'on finira le trajet en taxi.
Si c'est trop compliqué ça sera navette privée mais on est plus "lonely planet " que navette privée et hôtel tout inclus.

A ce jour elles n apparaissent plus sur mon compte Booking , j en ai informé par mail le service clients mais ce dernier ne repond pas ...donc impossible d annuler ces reservations....Quelqu un a t il connu ce probleme et l a t il resolu ???
