Bonjour, j’aimerai partir en République en juillet-aout de cette année, pour l’instant mon hésitation va entre l’hôtel Gran bahia principe bavaro resort ou le Dreams la romana resort et spa. Auriez vous des avis si quelqu’un a fait les deux hôtels ? Il y a tellement d’avis différent sur le net que j’hésite énormément donc j’aurai aimé trouvé des gens pouvant faire une comparaison, ou pouvant tout simplement donner leur avis sur les deux hôtels respectivement. Pour le confort des chambres, les repas qui sont très importants pour moi, les activités..
Sinon, j’hésite aussi à prendre l’assurance carburant, a votre avis ? Merci.
Je ne connais pas le Gran bahia principe bavaro resort, par contre nous sommes allés deux fois au Dreams à la Romana, c'est un hôtel génial, le personnel est super sympa, la nourriture très bien et il est très bien placé pour les excursions, si je devais retourner à Bayahibe, j'y au Dreams.

Parcontre si tu choisis Dreams La Romana, assure toi que tu atterris à La Romana et non à Punta Cana car la route entre Punta Cana et Bayahibe est très longue, plus de 2 heures. Si tu choisis Bahia Principe Bavaro, tu es à environ 30 min. de l'aéroport.

Je suis allée au Gran Bahia Principe. Bel hôtel, on mange très bien, la plage est très belle mais je crois que je choisirais le dreams si j'étais vous. Au Gran Bahia les excursions sont loin et la plage est bondée...pas très tranquille.😉

Oui, il y a l'aéroport de la Romana et celui de Punta Cana dans cette région. En été, c'est plutôt la saison morte, les avions atterrisent à Punta Cana car la plupart des passagers vont dans la région de Bavaro, qui est la plus près de l'aéroport de Punta Cana. Je vous assure que si vous atterrissez à Punta Cana, vous aurez plus de 2 heures de route en autobus pour vous rendre à Bayahibe. Mais un simple appel à votre agent de voyage vous rassurera de l'endroit où l'avion aterrit.

Dites, du dreams peut on allé nager avec les dauphins, je ne trouve pas ce renseignement sur le livre de voyage? Je n'arrive pas à la Romana, mais on nous a dit que c'était un taxi qui venait nous prendre...
C'est vrai que le trajet de Punta Cana à Bayahibe dure environ 2h, mais si vous le faites de jour ça permet de découvrir un peu le pays, car on traverse la campagne et certaines villes.
Pour les dauphins c'est pas le bon coté de l'ile, il me semble que c'est du coté de Samana qu'il faut aller pour voir les dauphins ! par contre à l'hôtel tu pourras nager avec des poissons de toutes les couleurs car il y a une barrière de corail juste en face et on te prête le matériel (palme, masque et tuba) à la base nautique, c'est très beau on dirait un aquarium !!

Pour la distance entre l'aéroport et Bayahibe, si vous aterrissez à Santo Domingo, ce n'est que 45 min. en taxi et comme déjà mentionné, près de 2 heures de l'aéroport de Punta Cana.

Merci, en lisant un peu les commentaires sur ce parc, il parait que les dauphins meurent et sont mal soigné (c'est pareil semble t'il pour un parc coté nord), j'hésite donc, par contre, en cherchant j'ai trouvé Daulphin explorer, les dauphins seraient un peu mieux ... mais c'est aussi à Punta Cana, donc je suis bonne pour les 2 heures de routes ....
Pour les masques et tubas non ils te les laissent 1h par jour, mais si tu as ton matériel c'est encore mieux, nous nous partons toujours avec nos masques, tubas et palmes.

Bonjour, j’aurais encore une ou deux petites questions, on vient juste (merci pour ma matinée) de me dire que là bas, il y avait le Menge et peut être même la malaria (je me dis que dans l'hotel il doit y avoir moins de risque, mais je compte visité l'ile de Saona)? Quand tu y vas, prend tu des médicaments, vaccins ?
Sinon, il faut une trousse à pharmacie spécifique ?
Non aucun vaccins pour la RD, il faut simplement ne pas boire l'eau du robinet, faire attention aux crudités (si elles sont lavées avec l'eau du robinet !), et oui avoir une pharmacie avec un traitement efficace pour "la tourista" car simplement le changement de climat peu avoir un effet sur ton organisme, mais sinon pas de problème, il faut aussi prendre une lotion contre les moustiques car ils sont là à la tombée de la nuit, mais pour moi c'est de simple "mousquitos", ne t’inquiètes pas si il y avait vraiment un risque nous n'irions pas là bas et encore moins avec nos enfants !
Rassures toi c'est juste le paradis et Saona est vraiment une ile époustouflante !!!
La RD est vraiment une destination de rêve pour celui qui veut du dépaysement et de belle plage de sable blanc.

Merci Titelle, je remarque que je suis une peureuse de première!!! Heu, les crudités, je suppose quand même qu'à l'hotel, ils prennent leur précaution (c'est un 5 étoiles quand même...)? Je ne suis pas sensible des intestins, mais j'ai le souvenir d'un voyage en Egypte ou un type a attrapé la tourista, il se vidait le pauvre, j'étais enceinte, j'ai pas osé mangé pendant 3 jours (je ne mange pas de viande!), heureusement, un type bien sympa m'a donné toutes ses boites de biscuit hi hi... (v'la pour la tite histoire d'un parfait inconnu qui m'a foutu la trouille de ma vie... )
Je vais allé voir en pharmacie, c'est vrai que je me dis que si le risque pour le denge était important, on nous le dirait tout de même, il n'est rien stipulé dans les livres d'agences non plus.....
Pour moi qui suis fragile des intestins, c'est renfort de la flore intestinale avant de partir et je suis obligée de faire attention aux crudités, et c'est très dur car dans les buffets il y en a beaucoup !!!
Mais pour toi alors pas de problème, vous allez passer de super vacances, j'espère que tu nous diras tout cela à ton retour car nous notre prochain voyage est encore loin c'est en octobre.

À l'hôtel tout est lavé avec de l'eau traitée, ils sont obligés. Certaines personnes disent attraper la tourista mais c'est plutôt qu'ils ont abusé d'alcool et de nourriture. Le lait de coco est laxatif , alors faut y aller mollo sur les drinks! 😉😉

Hey, I’d like to know which hotel in the south doesn’t force you to wake up at 4 AM just to reserve a shady chair, whether it’s at the beach or the pool.
I wanted to share a great discovery in the Marakele area because, in the end, this park doesn’t get talked about much compared to Kruger, even though it’s really worth the detour.
We discovered Cypiro Leopard Lodge, right next to Marakele National Park in the Waterberg. It’s a small property with just a few villas and suites, so it’s nothing like the big, crowded lodges. What we loved most was the feeling of being truly at the end of the world—lots of space, silence, and almost no one around.
And yet, it’s only about 3 hours from Johannesburg. Once you leave Joburg, the road is pretty straightforward, and you quickly find yourself in a much wilder Africa.
Marakele National Park was a huge surprise for us. There are plenty of animals, the Big Five are present, but best of all, very few people. At times, we drove for quite a while without seeing another car. It’s such a change from parks where you sometimes end up with 15 cars around one animal.
The landscapes are also stunning, with the Waterberg mountains, plains, and beautiful views from some of the trails.
We also learned on-site that Marakele is known for its very large Cape vulture colony—around 800 breeding pairs. When you climb into the mountains and see them soaring above, it’s pretty impressive.
The entire Waterberg region is actually a UNESCO-recognized biosphere reserve, and you quickly understand why once you’re there.
As for Cypiro, it’s a lodge that was recently taken over by French owners—really nice and approachable. The place is quite exclusive since there are very few accommodations. The villas and suites each have their own private pool, a wood-fired hot bath (like a KolKol), a braai, and an outdoor fireplace.
Evenings are especially lovely, especially with the peace and quiet all around.
Another thing we found really convenient: you can organize your stay however you like.
You can come self-catering and cook for yourself. There’s a supermarket in the nearby small town, practically on the way in, so you can do your shopping before arriving without making a big detour.
Or you can ask them to organize everything with breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. Their chef, Ernest, cooks really well, and it lets you completely unwind for a few days.
We liked being able to alternate: some quiet meals on our own and others prepared for us.
That’s actually one of the things we appreciated here—it’s not an ultra-formal lodge where everything is scheduled at fixed times. You can head out early to Marakele, come back for lunch, enjoy the pool, go back out in the late afternoon, then have a braai or a relaxed dinner in the evening.
In terms of price, we also found the value for money really good for this level of accommodation and especially for the very private feel of the place. Sometimes it feels like you’re in a much more expensive lodge.
If you’re looking for lots of activity and dozens of people around you, this probably isn’t the right spot.
But for peace, wildlife, nature, wide-open spaces, and that feeling of being a little alone in the world, we absolutely loved it.

And if anyone knows Marakele or the Waterberg well, I’d love to hear about other spots to discover in the area.
While digging through the archives 🔍, we discovered a 19th-century journal 📜 bearing the name: "Le Petit Baigneur, weekly journal of beaches, spa towns, and thermal resorts in the South of France", published as early as 1886. Its motto? "All for the baths and by the baths" 🏖️ — what a program!
We found the name so amusing that we chose it to rename our hotel: Hôtel Le Petit Baigneur!
140 years later, we’re carrying on this seaside tradition of the South of France in our own way 🏊♂️ — with a few fewer crinolines, but just as much love for the seaside. 😊

I found a hotel, the Kappa Club Crystal Bay Resort, and online reviews for this hotel recommend a guide named Omar. I contacted him via WhatsApp, and he's offering a 2-day, 1-night safari in Tsavo East, a "blue safari," and a Marafa Canyon day trip for 400 € per person.
I’m asking for help from people who’ve already done these excursions because I have no idea what these offers entail.

I was thinking of going to Martinique, but apparently, the hotels aren’t all-inclusive, which might be a hassle. If you have any advice, that’d be great. Otherwise, I was considering Mexico—a long-time dream. At an all-inclusive hotel with accessibility on one level (since I’m independent but in a wheelchair). 4. Hotel for relaxing (no "factory hotels")
5. One-week stay in February 2026
6. A nice hotel (3 or 4 stars) but no need for an ultra-palace

We’ll be in Venice from March 20th to 24th, and I’m looking (for two couples) for a hotel close to St. Mark’s Square—my husband can’t walk long distances. For four nights with breakfast, our budget is around 1,400 € per couple. To avoid too much walking for him, I’d also prefer a hotel where we could potentially eat dinner in the evenings.

You can’t pay online there—you just submit a reservation request (enquiry).
The second is the NWR (Namibia Wildlife Resorts) site: https://www.nwr.com.na, where you *can* pay online.
Is the latter one reliable?

Bonjour nous arriverons dimanche 5 mai ( à partir de 16h25) à l'aéroport de Punta Cana pour profiter d'un séjour que mon amie à gagner à l’hôtel Gran Bahia Principe La Romana.
L'avion est offert par la compagnie aérienne, l'hôtel je pense par la chaine hôtelière, mais aujourd'hui je m’inquiète du transfert car aucune info et j'apprends que rien n'est prévu.
D’après ce que j'ai vu le dernier car expreso part de Punta Cana à 16h00
Y-a t'il d'autres moyens de transports collectif (guagua) qui puisse faire le trajet ou au moins nous avancer jusqu'à La Romana ou San Pedro de Marcoris et je pense qu'on finira le trajet en taxi.
Si c'est trop compliqué ça sera navette privée mais on est plus "lonely planet " que navette privée et hôtel tout inclus.

A ce jour elles n apparaissent plus sur mon compte Booking , j en ai informé par mail le service clients mais ce dernier ne repond pas ...donc impossible d annuler ces reservations....Quelqu un a t il connu ce probleme et l a t il resolu ???
