je suis déjà allée à punta cana mais cette fois-ci, je souhaiterai changer de coin. J'ai lu que bayahibe était un trés beau site.
le souci, c'est qu'il y a plusieurs hotels et pour un même hotel, j'ai lu des critiques complètement opposées!
alors selon vous, quel est le meilleur hotel de bayahibe et pourquoi?
j'espère que votre aide me permettra de me décider!

J'y étais 15 jours au mois d aout. Très peu d'hotel à Bayahibé même, ils sont tous à l'extérieur du village, distant de quelques kms. J'étais au Dominicus beach, pour aller à Bayahibé en taxi 20 dollars AR !!! mais le coin vaut le détour.
personnellement je te conseillerai l' iberostar hacienda dominicus qui apperement n'est pas trop loin de bayahibé.Nous y partons avec mon mari fin septembre mais j' ai lu enormement de critiques sur cet hotel et a peine 1% ete negatives.

Bonsoir. En avril 2007 nous sommes partis 11 jours au Sunscape Casa del Mar à Bayahibe. L'hotel se situe à 5 mn à pied de la ville. C'est un très bel hôtel, très bien entretenu, face à un récif corallien où l'on peut se rendre en nageant en 5 mn avec très souvent pied. Nous avions une chambre avec vue sur la mer. Si vous voulez d'autres infos, n'hésitez pas.
Seul le Casa del Mar est à 5 minutes du village de Bayahibe. Les autres hôtels sont à 5-6 km.
On peut y aller en guagua pour 40 pesos aller-retour. Le tarif régulier du taxi touristique est de 10$US aller-retour . Si vous avez payé 20$ vous vous êtes fait avoir. Il n'est pas rare que les Dominicains essaient d'avoir plus que le prix régulier. Cela m'est arrivé une fois, mais sachant que c'était 5$ j'ai dit que je ne donnais pas plus que 5$ et je l'ai eu à ce prix.

Pour y avoir passé 15 jours au moment des fetes de fin d année l'an passé, je vous recommande le casa del mar; de plus j'ai parlé hier avec des amis qui sont allés dans un autre hotel de Bayahibe et qui ne sont pas satisfaits du tout...alors que nous, nous y retournons les yeux fermés cette année.
meme en periode de forte affluence le personnel a toujours été tres disponible, la nourriture est tres variée, les chambres sont propres, les piscines sont splendides, la mer caraibe...rien de mieux(cela va changer de punta cana!)il y a partout dans l'hotel des petits coins de paradis ou l'on peut (si on le souhaite et si on a eu la curiosité d'explorer un peu plus loin que les plages de la piscine) s'isoler un moment pour se ressourcer
je ne peux pas donner d avis sur les spectacles car les enfants se couchaient tot, donc pas vraiment fait...par contre en journée, il y a toujours des activités proposées pour tous les gouts mais ils ne sont pas insistants si on a pas envie.
je pense que si vous disiez quel hotel vous avez fréquenté a punta cana, il serait plus facile pour nous de vous répondre par comparaison😉 en tout cas:

a punta cana, j'étais à l'hotel barcelo bavaro casino, dans le grand complexe barcelo ou il y a 5 hotels : un grand choix de restaurants, de nombreuses piscines, une plage trés étendue, chambre plutôt moyenne(humidité importante au mois d'aout).
concernant le casa del mar, j'ai lu de bonnes critiques et je dois avouer que mon choix aura plutôt tendance à pencher du côté du casa del mar.
seul point gênant, des critiques qui mentionnent que la plage est trop petite, qu'on est entassés les uns sur les autres...d'aprés certains clients, il y aurai bcp de bruit sur la plage en raison de nombreux passages de bateaux à moteur. Et çà m'embête un peu!!

de toute facon vous ne retrouverez pas a bayahibe les étendues de sable de punta cana, dans n'importe quel hotel de bayahibe
en tout cas il y a des transats pour tout le monde meme quand l'hotel est archi plein au moment des fetes, tout le monde n a pas le meme rythme de vie le meme decallage horaires (canadiens) et cela fait que ça tourne bien...je n'ai pas été genée par le bruit des bateaux sur la plage!!!!seule la musique de l'aquagym en mer pendant 1/2 heure le matin vient polluer la tranquilité...
par contre il n y a que 2 grandes piscines, de toute facon les complexes hotelliers de bayahibe sont tous bcp plus petits que ceux de punta cana
a l'agence quand je suis rentrée enchantée, ils m'ont dis que le casa del mar était sans probleme le mieux de bayahibe
mais sachez que vous devez oublier les longues ballades sur la plage car on peut effectivement rejoindre bayahibe par la plage a pied en qq min mais des que la limite de la plage de l'hotel est franchie, c la misere au niveau entretien du rivage(carcasse de barques ect...)
par contre avec juste un masque vous pourrez admirer les poissons de la caraibe qui vienne maanger pret de vous pour la grande joie des petits et des grands!

c 'est toujours difficile de conseiller un hotel, pour ma part je suis fan du casa del mar nous y retournons pour la 3° fois en novembre, nous sommes allés au bavaro, nous etions au beach, l'hotel était bien mais le casa apporte un côté convivial que l'on trouve rarement et en plus Bayahibé pour qqu'un qui comme nous aime la mer caraibes chaude et calme, c'est top.
Pour ce qui est des différences de prix, je crois sincèrement pour avoir beaucoup voyagé qu'il n'y a pas de miracle!
Nous, nous faisons attention à la compagnie aérienne qui nous transporte, outre la sécurité il y aussi siouvent un confort supplémentaire pendant le vol quand on part avec des vols réguliers.

je rajouterais en ce qui concerne le Casa del Mar, (situé en bordure du port de bayahibé, d'où partent les pêcheurs, et les bateaux d'excursions), pour aller au village il te faut 5mn à pieds par la plage, qu'il est souvent en surbooking et que l'hotel de remplacement est loin d'être top et surtout il est situé à La Romana .....!!!!(1/2 h de route de bayahibé)
L'intéret de la zone dominicus c'est qu'elle est très vivante et située entre 5 et 10 mn à pieds de tous les hotels sauf le Casa qui lui est à l'opposé
Pour les transferts de la zone dominicus au port de bayahibé (env 10 km par la route) en taxi = 10 us$ (pour 1 à 5 pers), en guagua 30 pesos ou 1us$/pers
Sans aucune hesitation, choisis l'Iberostar Hacienda Dominicus, de loin le meilleur hotel, j'y étais en novembre 2005 tu peux retrouver mon compte rendu en faisant une recherche sur ce site. A l'epoque en passant mar Marsans nous avons payé 1087 euros tout compris par personne.
Si tu veux des infos je suis là mais très franchement moi qui hesitais entre le Casa del mar et l'Iberostar je n'ai pas été déçu du tout!

Hey, I’d like to know which hotel in the south doesn’t force you to wake up at 4 AM just to reserve a shady chair, whether it’s at the beach or the pool.
I wanted to share a great discovery in the Marakele area because, in the end, this park doesn’t get talked about much compared to Kruger, even though it’s really worth the detour.
We discovered Cypiro Leopard Lodge, right next to Marakele National Park in the Waterberg. It’s a small property with just a few villas and suites, so it’s nothing like the big, crowded lodges. What we loved most was the feeling of being truly at the end of the world—lots of space, silence, and almost no one around.
And yet, it’s only about 3 hours from Johannesburg. Once you leave Joburg, the road is pretty straightforward, and you quickly find yourself in a much wilder Africa.
Marakele National Park was a huge surprise for us. There are plenty of animals, the Big Five are present, but best of all, very few people. At times, we drove for quite a while without seeing another car. It’s such a change from parks where you sometimes end up with 15 cars around one animal.
The landscapes are also stunning, with the Waterberg mountains, plains, and beautiful views from some of the trails.
We also learned on-site that Marakele is known for its very large Cape vulture colony—around 800 breeding pairs. When you climb into the mountains and see them soaring above, it’s pretty impressive.
The entire Waterberg region is actually a UNESCO-recognized biosphere reserve, and you quickly understand why once you’re there.
As for Cypiro, it’s a lodge that was recently taken over by French owners—really nice and approachable. The place is quite exclusive since there are very few accommodations. The villas and suites each have their own private pool, a wood-fired hot bath (like a KolKol), a braai, and an outdoor fireplace.
Evenings are especially lovely, especially with the peace and quiet all around.
Another thing we found really convenient: you can organize your stay however you like.
You can come self-catering and cook for yourself. There’s a supermarket in the nearby small town, practically on the way in, so you can do your shopping before arriving without making a big detour.
Or you can ask them to organize everything with breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. Their chef, Ernest, cooks really well, and it lets you completely unwind for a few days.
We liked being able to alternate: some quiet meals on our own and others prepared for us.
That’s actually one of the things we appreciated here—it’s not an ultra-formal lodge where everything is scheduled at fixed times. You can head out early to Marakele, come back for lunch, enjoy the pool, go back out in the late afternoon, then have a braai or a relaxed dinner in the evening.
In terms of price, we also found the value for money really good for this level of accommodation and especially for the very private feel of the place. Sometimes it feels like you’re in a much more expensive lodge.
If you’re looking for lots of activity and dozens of people around you, this probably isn’t the right spot.
But for peace, wildlife, nature, wide-open spaces, and that feeling of being a little alone in the world, we absolutely loved it.

And if anyone knows Marakele or the Waterberg well, I’d love to hear about other spots to discover in the area.
While digging through the archives 🔍, we discovered a 19th-century journal 📜 bearing the name: "Le Petit Baigneur, weekly journal of beaches, spa towns, and thermal resorts in the South of France", published as early as 1886. Its motto? "All for the baths and by the baths" 🏖️ — what a program!
We found the name so amusing that we chose it to rename our hotel: Hôtel Le Petit Baigneur!
140 years later, we’re carrying on this seaside tradition of the South of France in our own way 🏊♂️ — with a few fewer crinolines, but just as much love for the seaside. 😊

I found a hotel, the Kappa Club Crystal Bay Resort, and online reviews for this hotel recommend a guide named Omar. I contacted him via WhatsApp, and he's offering a 2-day, 1-night safari in Tsavo East, a "blue safari," and a Marafa Canyon day trip for 400 € per person.
I’m asking for help from people who’ve already done these excursions because I have no idea what these offers entail.

I was thinking of going to Martinique, but apparently, the hotels aren’t all-inclusive, which might be a hassle. If you have any advice, that’d be great. Otherwise, I was considering Mexico—a long-time dream. At an all-inclusive hotel with accessibility on one level (since I’m independent but in a wheelchair). Can anyone recommend 5 or 6 hotel names that meet the following criteria? (I’m not too picky, lol)
1. All-inclusive
2. Adults-only
3. Beautiful beach and pool
4. Hotel for relaxing (no "factory hotels")
5. One-week stay in February 2026
6. A nice hotel (3 or 4 stars) but no need for an ultra-palace
Oh, and I almost forgot the main thing 😉: budget between 3500 € and 4000 € for two, including flights from Montreal-Mexico-Montreal.

To add to the info in the title, I’m open to various activities, but ideally, it’d include snorkeling, hiking, dance (every evening if possible!), group tours, etc. I’d love to meet people (not necessarily a man—just people in general!). We’ll be in Venice from March 20th to 24th, and I’m looking (for two couples) for a hotel close to St. Mark’s Square—my husband can’t walk long distances. For four nights with breakfast, our budget is around 1,400 € per couple. To avoid too much walking for him, I’d also prefer a hotel where we could potentially eat dinner in the evenings.

You can’t pay online there—you just submit a reservation request (enquiry).
The second is the NWR (Namibia Wildlife Resorts) site: https://www.nwr.com.na, where you *can* pay online.
Is the latter one reliable?

Bonjour nous arriverons dimanche 5 mai ( à partir de 16h25) à l'aéroport de Punta Cana pour profiter d'un séjour que mon amie à gagner à l’hôtel Gran Bahia Principe La Romana.
L'avion est offert par la compagnie aérienne, l'hôtel je pense par la chaine hôtelière, mais aujourd'hui je m’inquiète du transfert car aucune info et j'apprends que rien n'est prévu.
D’après ce que j'ai vu le dernier car expreso part de Punta Cana à 16h00
Y-a t'il d'autres moyens de transports collectif (guagua) qui puisse faire le trajet ou au moins nous avancer jusqu'à La Romana ou San Pedro de Marcoris et je pense qu'on finira le trajet en taxi.
Si c'est trop compliqué ça sera navette privée mais on est plus "lonely planet " que navette privée et hôtel tout inclus.
Bonjour j ai effectué des reservations d hebergement sur l amerique du sud par l intermediaire de Booking en fevrier dernier pour novembre 2020 . A ce jour elles n apparaissent plus sur mon compte Booking , j en ai informé par mail le service clients mais ce dernier ne repond pas ...donc impossible d annuler ces reservations....Quelqu un a t il connu ce probleme et l a t il resolu ???
