Pour le container cela va coûter plus cher que de se remeubler sur place, il existe des logements meublés, le temps que vous trouviez votre logement vide.
Pour la location cela dépend du quartier et du standing recherché de 150 euros à 450 euros et plus.
Pour les activités sur place : chacun à sa chance comme on dit donc je ne vous donnerais aucun conseil mais je peux vous renseigner si vous avez déjà des idées.

Pour un container, vous pouvez vous renseigner en France auprès d'AGS, c'est une grosse boite, sérieuse. Un container ça coute cher, peut-être 4000 € (téléphonez, ils se déplacent pour faire le devis) mais c'est pratique car quand vous arriverez vous n'aurez pas à courrir partout pour chercher meubles, électroménager etc...il faut bien compter 2 mois de voyage.
Pour trouver un appart ou maison, il faut aller dans un bon quartier : haie vive (où il y a le plus d'expatriés, mais aussi le plus cher), à Fidjrossé (la plage) c'est sympa et moins cher. Les cautions peuvent êtr de 3 mois ou 1 an !!!!!!!!!!!!! il faut négocier dur.
Pour l'enfant de 1 an, vous pouvez le garder à la maison ou le mettre en crèche (ex : crèche du club des nations qui est très bien) et pour celui de 4 ans je vous conseille fermement le lYcée Français MONTAIGNE. Pour cette année il n'y aura sûrement plus de place mais renseignez-vous. L'école est très chère mais vous pouvez bénéficiez d'une bourse jusqu'à 100 %. Vous pouvez l'inscrire pour cette année aux lapins bleus ou 1000 pattes.

Le mieux pour vous ne serait-il pas de vendre ce qui est vendable de vos meubles en France et de venir carrément vous installer à neuf au Bénin? En tous cas c'est mons cher, sans oublier qu'à l'arrivée de votre container au port de Cotonou vous pouvez mettre 3 à 6 mois pour le sortir et là aussi, ALLO LES DEPENSES! il vous est possible de faire réserver un appartement à Fidjrsossè dans lequel vs venez vous installer comme dans un hotel pour 1 mois au cours duquel vous pouvez trouver un autre appart selon vos convenances, acheter vos meubles et vous réinstaller. Pensez-y et contactez moi chaque fois que de besoin!

Je suis toujours au Bénin, cela fait 4 ans. Mes enfants ont 4 et 8 ans et tout se passe très bien. En fait tout dépend dans quelles conditions vous arrivez ici, en poste local, expatrié.....
Les enfants sont à l'école Montaigne et les frais de scolarité sont élevés, il faut aller sur le site de l'école. Ils peuvent faire pleins d'activités au sein de l'école : judo, gym, foot, ....et aussi à l'extérieur : tennis, équitation, golf.....
Les loyers sont aussi élevés si vous restez dans le quartier d'expat Haie vive/cocotier, mais ce sera sûrement moins cher qu'au Maroc. Si vous sortez de ces quartiers, les prix tombent fortement.
Concernant les soins : il y a un cabinet médical avec un médecin français qui dépend de l'ambassade. On trouve aussi de nombreux spécialistes et autres généralistes. Dans les pharmacies on trouve tout. Par contre pas vraiment de service d'urgence....
Les dépenses alimentaires : il y a un grand supermarché EREVAN avec tous les produits français que l'on connait 30 % plus cher qu'en France, sinon le poisson est très peu cher ainsi que les fruits et légumes.
Concernant les voitures, il y a de grands parcs où l'on peut trouver sa voiture, le prix dépend évidemment de ce que vous recherchez.
Vous pouvez aussi avoir ici du personnel : cuisinier, dada (nounou) vraiment pas cher.

Difficile de répondre à cette question. Ici nous sommes expatriés donc dans de bonnes conditions. Le budget école vous le connaissez, pour le logement on peut vraiment trouver pas trop cher en s'éloignant du quartier cocotier a environ 300 000 FCFA (400 €) et même beaucoup moins. Le quartier Fidjrossé est très sympa et il y a de bons plans, c'est au bord de la mer à 15 mn de l'école Française. Vous pouvez payer un démarcheur sur place pour qu'il vous trouve votre maison. On peut se déplacer très facilement pour rien du tout en moto taxi (zem) dans un premier temps si vous n'avez pas de voiture (même à 4 dessus en comptant le conducteur). Il est essentiel, vital d'avoir une assurance rapatriement car le Bénin est une zone à Paludisme mortel. Je pense que le coût de la vie est plus élevé à Casablanca. L'électricité est assez chère mais vous n'êtes pas obligés de mettre de climatisation, ou seulement dans les chambres. On peut mettre des brasseurs d'air. L'eau ne coûte pas grand chose.
Vous pouvez vivre très bien ici si vous prenez en compte la scolarité et le logement. Pour le reste ça va.
