Je me présente Amy 37 ans , je vais surement partir 6 semaines en août et septembre 2018 étudier l'Anglais dans l'école KINGS Los Angeles et je voulais savoir si l'un d'entre vous connait cette école pour me donner des infos et un avis 🙂
J'ai choisi une classe pour les + de 25 ans et professionnels , j'espère que l'ambiance les cours les professeurs seront de qualité afin de progresser un maximum en Anglais et de découvrir des personnes d'autres nationalités et faire des excursions même si je connais Los Angeles.

Je me suis pas mal renseigné et j'avais un peu la même question que toi. J'hésitais entre 3 écoles à Los Angeles : Kings, EC et CEL. Ce sont toutes de grands groupes, avec pas mal d'écoles. En tapant leurs noms sur internet tu arriveras à la même conclusion que moi. Après les avis c'est dur de dire, mais ils existent depuis assez lgtps donc je vois mal comment ça pourrait être une arnaque. De plus on parle d'enseigner l'anglais, compliqué d'expliquer les différences entre 2 établissements.
Après ton choix d'école je te conseille de comparer les prix entre les organismes et les écoles. Histoire que cela ne te coute pas plus cher. Personnellement je pense partir avec Move and Study 12 semaines pour éviter le visa F1 début 2018. J'ai juste taper le nom de l'école qui m'intéressait et j'ai comparé les organismes. C'est pour le moment le meilleur prix trouvé.
Par contre attention, Kings est à Holywood, EC et CEL à Santa Monica. Donc Kings est une très bonne école en apparence, mais je préfère vivre sur la cote donc je penche pour EC ! Par contre si ya un programme pour les +25 c'est probablement ce qu'il y a de mieux pour toi !

Après "usage" de l'école Kings collège pour séjour linguistique à Los angeles (vendue notamment par ESL), c'est une boite à fric qui n'honore pas du tout la qualité de l'hebergement déplorable malgré de belles images sur les brochures, la qualité des cours transformés en études où rien ne se passe, le "referent" promis ne réfère rien du tout et ne garantit pas la sécurité des jeunes, notamment sur la residence La Mirada de Los Angeles. Il est absolument clair qu'ESL (grosse entreprise européenne de vente de séjours linguisitques) ne controle RIEN DU TOUT, voire est complice de ce qui se passe sur place. Il est vrai que les djeuns préfèrent souvent les loisirs aux cours et sont "couverts" tant que le fric tombe. Leurs parents ne sont pas au courant de la situation bien souvent mais paient:c'est le principal!
Je confirme pour la résidence ! Horrible , impossible de dormir ça a faillit vraiment gacher mon expérience , j'ai demandé à changer 2 fois de logement et d'allée car les étudiants ne respectent pas le réglement pour le bruit et propreté honteux! Et le pire dans tout ça j ai vu des sdf rentrer dans la résidence pas du tout safe et ils ne font rien s'en foutent royalement.
Au niveau des cours j'ai éte satisfaite pas de soucis par contre le logement autant prendre un airbnb ou autre.

Il nous est arrivé encore pire: ma fille , en fait , avait été "oubliée" dans leurs plannings logement et elle s'est retrouvée littéralement sur le trottoir un samedi matin une semaine après son arrivée. "Référent" aux abonnés absents...une honte!
Du coup elle est retournée a l'hotel qu'elle avait pris à l'arrivée 2 jours , dans le "package avion" mais tarifs cher. A dû y rester 2 semaines, cause plus de places hebergement pendant 15 jours. Pour autant ils refusent de rembourser la totalité de l'hotel.
Et la suite: la différence entre l'airbnb et leur forfait résidence , refus aussi. Car hors de question qu'elle passe 6 mois a la Mirada avec matelas pourri, bruit, soirée cocaine etc...Elle s'est fait aussi agressée par un sdf au retour de ses courses et volé son panier! On a informé le consulat de la situation, il veulent qu'on leur communique la suite de nos démarches.
Donc on va en justice.
Je suis d'accord , les cours sont très bien. Sauf qu'ils nous ont arnaqué sur le forfait aussi: les cours de droit et management en anglais de notre contrat n'ont jamais existé à Kings!!!
Nous cherchons des témoignages pour la démarche en justice.
Serais tu ok pour fournir un témoignage de l'état de la Mirada(couchage , fenetre cassees , verrous inopérants , pas de chauffage etc..., ) sa situation avec SDF qui entrent comme ils veulent et pas du tout de sécu comme annoncé.
Car ils suppriment partout tous les avis négatifs et font comme s'ils n'avaient aucun retour négatifs.
Ma fille a remarqué sur place que les jeunes n'en parlent pas forcément à leurs parents pour pas les affoler.(et aussi ça devient un baisodrome+ expé drogue auxquelles les jeunes se livrent...)

For some time now, I’ve been seriously considering moving to the United States. My long-term goal is to practice medicine in the U.S., with a particular interest in forensic pathology. Our departure time is getting closer (we have less than 2 years left—it’s both a long time and so short!). To start preparing seriously, we’ll need quite a bit of info. If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).

Actually, I’m currently doing a postgraduate diploma in pediatric respiratory physiotherapy and want to specialize in that area. Anyway, that’s not the main point—could anyone explain the pros and cons of doing this job in Switzerland? Based on the paperwork I’ve received, the equivalence seems purely administrative or almost... What about working conditions, quality of life, salaries, etc.?
