J'envisage de partir apprendre l'anglais à l'étranger avec une amie, nous sommes toutes les 2 majeures! malte nous intéresse beaucoup! Par contre, nous nous posons tout de même quelques questions (j'espère que vous arriverez à me répondre :-))
Etant donné que l'anglais est la 2ème langue officielle, peut-être que les gens en ville parle le maltais et non l'anglais. Et savez-vous si l'accent anglais est un peu "bizzare"?
Ensuite, j'ai lu plusieurs témoignages, et nous avons l'impressions qu'il y a énormément de mineures qui font des séjours linguistiques. Vu que nous sommes majeures, nous préférerions être en classe avec des jeunes qui ont entre 18 et 25 ans, plutôt que des jeunes entre 12 et 16 ans...
Savez-vous s'il y a beaucoup de chose à visiter à Malte? si il y a des magasins d'habits? etc... Et quels sont les périodes que vous nous conseiller pour apprendre l'anglais? Nous pensions à partir de septembre.
Je souhaite aussi partir prendre des cours de langues à Malte en septembre pour 16 semaines. Cependant je n'est toujours pas choisi avec quelle ècole partir.

Ma tante est déjà partie en voyage à Malte et elle me dit que l'accent anglais est vraiment atypique car c'est comme si ils avaient une manière italienne de parler l'anglais. Ahah. Apparemment, je me suis renseignée et à l'école de langue, ils ont un accent neutre. Normal pour des profs! ;) Perso, jcrois que si on y va durant l'été, il y aura beaucoup plus de jeunes adolescents genre 12-16 ans car vacances scolaires..;

Je vois que tu es dans la même situation que nous! Depuis que j'ai poster ce message, nous avons eu un entretien avec l'organisme EF, ils nous on dit que les maltais avait de toute façon un léger accent comme partout! Mais qu'en classe, c'est le bon anglais qui est parlé! On ne se fait plus trop de soucis pour ça maintenant! Et comme on aimerait partir au mois de septembre, il y aura sûrement moins de jeunes entre 12-16 ans! mais plutôt 18-25 ans! EF nous a aussi averti que là-bas c'est la fête tout les jours! Et qu'il faut savoir faire la différence entre travaillé et faire la fête... enfin, après c'est personnel lol !!

Malte = très bien pour les plus jeunes (12-16) qui veulent entretenir leur anglais sans pression ni obligation de résultat car c'est l'ambiance plage-vacances tout en faisant un peu d'anglais tous les jours (2H30 en général).
Pour des adultes pas de problème, c'est très touristique, mais pas sûr que ce soit l'endroit où vous apprendrez le plus; de plus, c'est une île, donc assez petit et par définition on en a vite fait le tour. Par contre le climat est excellent et c'est vrai que c'est fête tous les soirs de juin à septembre.
En fait je penser venir de septembre à février, et j'ai 20 ans alors vous pensez que c'est une bonne idée?ou malte c'est cool que pour l'été ? j'ai pas envie d'être décue arrivé là bas :/

Malte pendant 6 mois en hiver, bon courage...
C'est vraiment une petite île super sympa de mai à octobre mais sur la longue durée en hiver, tu risques de vite tourner en rond (et attention au maltais!).
Franchement, je te conseille de partir ailleurs. Si tu veux le soleil, pars au Etats-Unis ou Australie?!
Je suis parti à Malte, avec l'organisme languesvivantes.com et l'école à Malte était proche de la mer. Il semblerait que tous les organismes privilégient cette école plutôt que les autres. L'école est situé à Sliema, bien placé devant la plage.
Maintenant pour apprendre l'Anglais, j'ai préféré 1000 fois l'Irlande, notamment à Galway.
Malte, c'est la fête, la fête tous le temps, les élèves ne veulent pas travailler et privilégie la boisson à l'apprentissage des cours. Ils ont un accent, qui ressemble à l'accent espagnol ou italien, et surtout ... il y'a énormément de Français et de Belge. Aucun intérêt car tu vas vite te tourner vers eux pour sortir.
Sinon les maltais sont agréables, sympa, mais attention quand même de vous retrouver le soir avec des maltais bourrés.
