J'espère partir en juin 2007 pour quelques mois à Mérida au Vénézuela pour un séjour linguistique de quelques mois. Ceci à partir d'un billet d'avion open-ticket et d'un sac-à-dos. Sur place, j'espère trouver une possada pour me loger, une structure ou prendre des cours de langues, et peut-être quelques cours de français à donner.
Y-a-t-il donc certains connaissant bien Mérida ou y étant passé ? J'aimerais avoir plus d'informations pratiques concernant la vie sur place, les logements sur place, les déplacements, et les écoles de langues.
Mérida est une ville plutôt sympa à l'échelle du Véné. L'une des rares où on n'hésite pas à marcher un peu vers 3h du mat par exemple (plutot rare dans le pays).
Pour les posadas, les moins chères tournent vers 30 000 bolos pour une chambre individuelle (soit un peu moins de 10$). Evidemment pour un séjour long il doit y avoir moyen de négocier.
Sinon ta structure de langues te donnera surement des adresses dans des familles ou des locations.
La ville est relativement sympa, jeune (Université des Andes), plein de choses à voir dans les environs !
Mérida semble sympathique. Il me semble que c'est une bone ville pour apprendre l'espagnol, tout en profitant du cadre de vie agréable en Amérique Latine.
J'y vais un peu à l'aventure, ce sera sur place que je me renseignerai pour beaucoup de choses.
Pour ce qui est du temps, à quelle saison étais-tu allé?
Quant aux prix, trouves-tu cela raisonnable à l'echelle du sous-continent.
j'y étais en février: très beau temps globalement.
Evidemment la vie au Véné est plus chère que dans certains autres pays. Cela va surtout dépendre du change au noir disponible lorsque tu seras sur Mérida. Autre chose, Mérida n'est pas une ville chère à l'échelle du Véné.
A titre d'exemple, le Bolos était sacrifié lorsque je l'avais changé au noir début janvier à Caracas: 3700 Bolos pour 1 dollar, soit 5000 Bolos pour 1 euros. Aujourd'hui, on est plus à 3200-3300, le pays est donc 10% plus cher. Tout cela dépend des discours de Chavez.
J'étais allé dans deux posadas: une à 30 000 (plus basique, pas de sdb) l'autre à 50 000 (TV cablé, petit dej simple + sdb). Au pire tu peux toujours choisir le dortoir.
Côté sorties: 2500-3000 pour la bière; 850 pour un trajet en bus de ville...
Bref la vie n'est pas trop chère à condition de changer au noir. Prends ton beaucoup de cash avec toi et ne retire pas avec ta carte de crédit. Si tu es sec en cash à un moment donné, certaines posadas à Merida te proposeront des Bolos au noir via le système Paypal (Tu vires de l'argent sur un compte en Espagne par exemple, ils te donnent l'équivalent cash en Bolos).
Maintenant si tu es un peu ric rac niveau budget (et c'est un peu bête de l'être au Véné où les gens aiment faire la fête), aller étudier l'espagnol au Nicaragua, en Equateur ou dans d'autres pays te coutera moins cher c'est sur.
Tu sembles avoir passé un agréable séjour au Vénézuéla.
Moi, je ne suis encore jamais allé en Amérique Latine, mais j'éspère y améliorer mon espagnol au Vénézuéla à Mérida. Parce qu'une amie y a fait ses études, il y a quelques années. et me l'a conseillée.
Pour l'argent, je pense avoir un budget suffisant. Je me posais des questions à ce sujet, car je reviens d'un séjour en Afrique de l'Ouest où les prix pouvaient doubler selon les pays et les régions. Mais, en général, ça restait assez raisonnable. Je pense qu'il doit en être de même en Amérique du Sud.
Je pense arriver au moment de la saison sèche, mais à ce qu'on m'a dit le climat est toujours agréable.
Concernant les guides de voyages, je pensais au Lonely planet. Il y a aussi le petit futé, mais il n'est pas réputé pour être un bon guide.
Pour les transports, je me posais la question à savoir si ils sont denses et fiables. J'espère trouver un vol jusque Caracas puis prendre une correspondance avec la compagnie santabarbaairlines.
Pas de problèmes pour trouver un vol. Il suffit de faire jouer la concurrence dans le terminal national (à 3 min à pied du terminal international).
Il y a beaucoup de petites compagnies et comme le pétrole est quasiment donné, les prix sont très faibles (même chose pour les bus...).
Tu as donc Santa Barbara, mais également LASER qui est réputé peu cher, Aeropostal, Aserca, Avior, et toute une flopée dont j'ai oublié le nom. Reste à trouver celles qui desservent Mérida😉.
Pour ce qui est des guides le Lonely est surement le plus pratique, il doit surement y avoir un footprint également (généralement de très bonne qualité), quand au Petit Futé, c'est clair que c'est pas le plus pratique, mais je ne le trouve pas désagréable non plus. Le gros problème c'est le manque de plans.

J'ai vu les cartes géographiques, il n'y a ni michelin, ni l'Ign, je prendrais ce qui viens. Et j'aimerais bien prendre avec moi une carte de toute l'Amérique Latine, au cas où.

je souhaite partir au venez de mi août à mis septembre. je suis venezuelienne et j'y vais avant tout pour voir ma famille, mais j'aimerais aussi faire un tour dans ce pays que je connais mal... j'aimerais notamment passer par Merida. Bref, dans l'idéal je cherche un(e) compagnon(ne) de voyage pour les 2 premières semaines de septembre (ou 2 dernières d'août). Je sais pas si ça te tente, mais en tous cas dis-moi si on peut se voir sur merida!
