Nous voulons aller à Cuba cet été ( à la mi-juillet )... Nous voyageons avec 2 enfants ( 6 ET 9 ans ) et un bébé de 20 mois. Mais nous hésitons car une connaissance nous a dit que la température là-bas en juillet est trop chaude et humide pour un bébé et des enfants... Est-ce vrai ? Pourtant, nous sommes déjà allés au Mexique à cette période de l'année et c'était pas si chaud que ça... ESt-ce différent à Cuba ?

Je suis allée à 2 reprises à Cuba fin juillet, début août et effectivement c'est extrêmement chaud. Le seul endroit où nous sommes bien c'est dans la mer (qui est très chaude) ou à l'air climatisé mais encore là elle ne fournit pas. De rester au soleil c'est insupportable et on doit courir sur la plage car le sable nous brûle les pieds.
Durant 2 semaines je dégoûtais toute la journée, même le soir et la nuit. Très humide.
Personnellement je ne suis jamais allée au Mexique mais je n'irais certainement pas avec 3 enfants en juillet.
C'est ce que je me dis aussi: ça coûte aussi cher des vacances ici au Québec qu'à Cuba...Alors, je voudrais en profiter, mais ma petite de 20 mois m fait hésiter... Je vais me décider rapidement qd même... Merci de m'avoir répondu!🙂
Si tu comptes 2 semaines d'hôtel, l'essence de l'auto pour s'y rendre qui est super cher, la nourriture, la boisson jamais tu ne trouveras ça ici. C'est la raison pour laquelle j'y suis allée la première fois pour mes vacances d'été. En plus t'es certain d'avoir du beau temps.
Ils disent la saison des pluies mais en 2 semaines j'ai vu 2 fois de la pluie. Un gros orage qui a duré environ 30 minutes mais à l'heure du souper alors pas de problème. Après tout est redevenu normal.
Pour toutes ces raisons j'y retournerais n'importe quand. Par contre c'est la chaleur que je trouve très difficile à supporter.
Effectivement , toutes les réponses sont exacte! Beau et chaud avexc un humidex allant juusqu`à 100%alors 30-40cel. Il y a des endroits où le vent est plus présent Cayo Santa Maria, le Melia Las Dunas est excellent pour les familles. Il y a aussi Holguin , mais la chaleur en juillet est presque insupportable...Playa Pesquero...Playa Costa Verde.
Pour les enfants il reste la plage, la mer, les palapas et les piscines !
Il faut aussi savoir que c`est la saison de pluies de juin à novembre ..mais on ne peut rien prédire a long terme!

J'y suis allée en juillet dernier, et effectivement très chaud, le soir on soupait très vite et on retournait dans la chambre à l'air climatisée. Nous étions au Playa Pesquero et heureusement il y a un médecin sur le site 24 sur 24, 7 jours sur 7 j'ai vu des petites familles se rendre chez le médecin pour les enfants qui étaient déshydratés, dont un qui a dû aller à l'hôpital pour 24 heures. Il faut donc chercher l'ombre et malgré le fait le petit a quand même été hospitalisé. Je vous mets une photo qui en dit beaucoup...c'était le 10 mai 2011 à 17h04 alors en juillet c'est plus chaud et beaucoup d'humidité même le soir aucune utilité d'apporter un fer plat.....
Ouin... Alors je crois bien que je vais changer d'idée. 🙁 J'avais pensé à Virginia Beach, mais c'est le même prix, sinon plus cher qu'à Cuba, car il n'y a pas de tout inclus... Et pas de vols directs... Et on n'est pas sûrs qu'il fera beau.
Oui effectivement pour tes deux plus jeunes 6 et 9 ans je pense pas que ca pourrait être un problème car ils savent le dire si ils ont trop chaud, ou ils peuvent se baigner toute la journée avec de la 50 et un chapeau 😉 mais y'a rien de rafraichissant dans les baignades a ce temps la de l'année que ce soit la mer ou la piscine c'est comme entrée dans son bain.......nous on allais se rafraichir dans les petite douches suspendu pour enlever le sable aux pieds......et au pire on va faire des petites siestes a l'air climatisé dans la chambre.......mais pour le bébé de 20 mois ca risque d'être plus compliqué.......Moi aussi je suis allé a Cuba en juillet et aout et effectivement c'est très chaud, mais je voyais aussi pas mal de famille en vacances et je pense pas que tout leur enfants se sont ramassé a l'hopital, il faut juste les surveiller plus, les crèmer en masse et les faire boires plus souvent!!!😎😎
Ma fille avait 8 ans quand je l'ai emmener la première fois et quand elle en avait assez du soleil elle allait a l'ombre ou dans la chambre quelque temps!!
Je suis plus optimiste que certains. Nous partons dans quelques jours pour Cuba avec nos 3 enfants 12, 10 et 2½ ans. Ce sera notre troisième voyage à Cuba (2009 et 2010) à ces dates et même si oui, il fait très chaud, nous n'avons jamais eu de problèmes. Nous avions l'habitude de voyager en mars ou avril et la température y était un peu plus fraiche mais avec quelques précautions vous pourriez passez de très bons moments; choisir des coins d'ombre, faire une sieste ou un temps de repos dans la chambre en PM, se baigner souvent, boire beaucoup...
Personnellement je choisirais Cuba. Il fait toujours beau, chaud, la plage est belle et les cubains sont si accueillant.

Parce que nous, avec nos deux enfants et notre bébé, c'est pas évident de trouver un hôtel... il faut dire que je ne veux pas deux chambres, mais bien une seule, avec le bébé qui couchera dans son parc... L'agent de voyage nous a parlé de l'Arenas Doradas. Et aujourd'hui elle nous a mentionné le Sirenis la Salina... une chose est sûre, il faut qu'on prenne une décision rapidement !!

Pourquoi pas Holguin...Le PLaya Pesquero ou le Playa Costa Verde surtout avec des jeunes enfants. En ce qui con cerne Varadero , Le Iberostar Varadero est aussi très bon !

J'ai pas eu une goutte de pluie de la semaine, surement qu'il a plu la nuit quelque soir car quand on se levait il y avait un peu d'eau par terre, mais sinon moi aussi je repars en aout et j'ai tellement hâte!!
A Holguin encore et encore...Moi j'aime assez ça quand il fait chaud et la température intense avec un drink dans la main et le corps dans l'eau je trouve que cette chaleur ce prend tres bien ;)

Ben d'accord avec toi, il y a quand même des endroits avec l'air climatisé, nous on mangeais toujours au buffet car manger le midi au bord de la piscine même a l'ombre c'était difficile, mais quand même mille fois mieux que d'être pogné ici avec la pluie et la grisaille!!! On trouve toujours un endroit pour se rafraichir et ce même si on doit allez faire une tite sieste a la chambre dans l'après-midi avec l'air climatisé......ca vaut 100 fois mieux que la température qu'on à au Québec présentement!

We want to do a few safaris, visit villages, the mountains, see tea plantations, etc. But we also want to see turtles. We love snorkeling but aren’t experts—we’re just happy to see colorful fish and coral. We’ve always wanted to see turtles too, so the idea is still to see *something* underwater 😊

I’ve planned a three-week itinerary for this summer, from August 9 to 27, in Sri Lanka:
Negombo – 1 night
Sigiriya and the Cultural Triangle – 4 nights
Kandy – 2 nights
Ella – 3 nights
Tangalle – 6 nights
Colombo Airport – 1 night
I know this isn’t the ideal time for the south since the beach conditions aren’t great, but we’ve booked a hotel with a pool and won’t be swimming in the sea. We want to relax after all the travel since we’re bringing our two kids, aged 6 and 8.
I know the east would be better, but (i) I’m struggling to find suitable accommodation, and (ii) it adds a lot of travel time, and my kids can only handle about 3 hours at a stretch.
I looked into Arugam Bay, but it’s a 7-hour trip back to Colombo from there.
I’ve checked every weather site imaginable, but they don’t all agree. Do you think we’ll spend our whole trip in the rain, or is the monsoon in the south mostly limited to the sea, as I’ve read?
I’m worried about ending up in the middle of a natural disaster with my two young kids, given recent events.

This year, 2026, I can only get away in April and May. I never travel during these months usually, and from what I know, they aren’t the best for India. But in such a big country, there are always spots that are better than others weather-wise.

Anyway, time’s running out, and I need to decide so I can finalize a route and book the tickets!!

I’d love to hear from people who’ve visited the country and these cities during this period—basically, is it not as bad as it sounds, or should we just cancel our tickets (we don’t mind the heat, it’s mostly the rain that scares us).
I know there are plenty of indoor activities, but do you think we’ll still manage to get a few sunny days, or will it be torrential rain for our entire 2-week trip?
The only other country we’ve visited during the rainy season is Brazil (in the northeast) around the same time, and honestly, aside from a few really annoying downpours, we had sunshine most of the time and it was awesome. That said, the climate is totally different, so I’m not sure how relevant the comparison is.

Personally, I see a promising opportunity here—jumping on this adaptation to extreme climates before others do, since they’re inevitably coming.
From my own travel experience, I’ve met a few guides so far who are starting to adjust, like in Egypt, Kenya, Senegal, and elsewhere.
They avoid crowds and the hottest hours by starting their tours around 6–7 AM, when it’s cooler.
Yeah, you’ve gotta wake up early, but the payoff is so worth it. 😴
If you’ve got any great tips like this, why not discuss them in this thread and share addresses or websites where the people in charge have realized climate change is real and are adapting? 😊
