Bonjour,
J'ai mis en place une classe d'enseignement français à Phuket depuis septembre 2008, au sein de l'école Headstart. Les enfants sont ainsi plongé dans un milieu anglophone, tout en continuant un enseignement français reconnu par l'éducation nationale français (les enfants sont inscrits au CNED). Les élèves suivent chaque jour des cours d'anglais au sein d'une classe anglophone et joignent 3 fois par semaine cette même classe pour les cours de sport. Nous sommes arrivé à Phuket mi juillet 2009, et avons choisi cette destination, notamment pour l'ensemble des infrastructures et services très complets existant sur l'ile, et dont nous pourrions avoir besoin. Malheureusement, il n'y a pas encore d'école française. Pour cela, il faudrait préférer la capital.
Toutefois, la "Headstart", qui enseigne en Anglais, propose d'intégrer une classe permettant à l'enfant d'être mieux assisté et suivre le programme du C.N.E.D. Je connais personnellement des enfants qui y sont très bien .
J'ai opté pour la British School, pour offrir à mes enfants la possibilité d'acquérir une langue supplémentaire.
Mais attention, au terme d'un choix éventuel, je recommande de bien considérer le budget total que pourrait représenter annuellement un enseignement privé, auquel nous ne sommes pas forcément familier.
Un autre paramettre dont il faut tenir compte, est l'emplacement de l'école, versus, votre lieux de résidence sur l'ile. En effet, les déplacements sur l'ile sont des plus dangereux et des moins rapides. Je vous recommande alors un chauffeur Thai, mais de toute façon une bonne assurance ...

Je suis la maîtresse de la section CNED de Headstart. En ce qui concerne l'apprentissage de la langue anglaise, je voulais vous préciser que les enfants de ma section intègrent tous les jours les cours d'anglais dans une classe anglophone, ainsi que tous les cours de sport. Ils ont également tous les moments de récréation et de repas en commun avec les enfants anglophones.
Sinon, certains parents, souhaitant un apprentissage plus intensif encore de l'anglais pour leurs enfants, ont choisi d'inscrire leurs enfants dans le programme anglais, nettement moins cher que celui de BIS.
Certains de ces enfants là viennent quelques heures par semaine dans ma classe pour un travail spécifique sur la langue française.
Pour ce qui est des trajets, Headstart fait un ramassage scolaire.
N'hésitez pas à venir visiter l'école.

Headstart est près de Phuket Town pratiquement en face du magasin Makro. (direction Patong)
Le ramassage scolaire se fait pour l'instant en direction de Rawai près du 7eleven au croisement de Viset road et de la route qui part vers Nayharn;

non il n'y a pas d'ecole française à Phuket, seulement une section francaise qui coute 4700 euros l'année, moi ce que je vais faire, c'est inscrire ma fille au CNED et le cned vous envoie les cours pour la classe de 5ème cela coute 134 euros et ensuite sur place je lui ferais moi même les cours, ou trouver un expat enseignant à la retraite. vous partez ou sur phuket ? bon courage.

Bien que je comprenne tout a fait les couts liés au fonctionnement d'une école...d autant plus une ecole étrangere... il n en reste pas moins que ce n est pas donné pour une année de scolarisation. loin de moi l idée de jouer mon "francais" a raler a tout va lol, mais lorsqu on voyage avec un budget moyen ce tarif n est pas trop envisageable... ce qui me chagrine car la headstart a l air vraiment bien !!!
En ce qui me concerne, mon enfant n a que 5 ans et peut encore aller un an à une "kindergarten" locale ou les prix sont en moyenne de 200 à 250 eur mensuel...contre plus de 600 eur pour la head start. Il est évident que ce n est que provisoire, de plus l enseignement est inexistant (outre l apprentissage naturel des langues peut etre...) et cette difficultée va mériter reflexion... ca va m prendre la tete quoi 😄
ps : départ dimanche pour deux a trois semaines de vacances sur l ile en reconnaissance du secteur... toute proposition d apéro serait la bienvenue

J'étais sur Phuket en mai et j'ai été visité l'école que propose Nathalie et où elle enseigne. J'ai eu l occasion de discuter avec une personne qui avait mis sa fille chez Nathalie et cela lui a bien convenu.
Nathalie est une enseignante d origine canadienne ce qui rend son accent sympathique.

Oui mais les enfants sont-ils en contact avec des enfants anglophones? car même s'il est intéressant de continuer une scolarité française, il est primordial que les enfants soit en contact avec des enfants anglophones, sans quoi leur intégration à Phuket sera beaucoup plus difficile.Comment communiquer avec les personnes que l'on rencontre si on ne maîtrise pas l'anglais. même si les enfants sont surement des cours de langue, il faut pratiquer.

aucun problème pour inscrire votre fille. Il faudra l'inscrire en décembre au CNED pour que sa scolarité soit validée par l Education Nationale et la radiée du CNED à son retour en France. J'ai actuellement un élève de sixième qui sera donc l'an prochain dans la même classe que votre fille.

I’m heading to Bangkok for a 5-month internship, and I’m wondering about the budget because I’ve read all sorts of things—so I decided to post here to get answers tailored to my situation! :D I found housing that costs me 7,000 baht (I know it’s a bit pricey, but it’s super convenient...), which works out to about 160 € all-inclusive. So, I was wondering if it’s realistic to live on 500 or 600 € per month, and if so, under what conditions? Is that enough, considering I’ll be working 40 hours a week?

Our departure time is getting closer (we have less than 2 years left—it’s both a long time and so short!). To start preparing seriously, we’ll need quite a bit of info. If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).

Hi, I’m a self-employed physiotherapist in France, and as my wife (a nurse) and I look into working abroad in about two years, I’ve been offered an equivalence to become a respiratory physiotherapist in Switzerland. Actually, I’m currently doing a postgraduate diploma in pediatric respiratory physiotherapy and want to specialize in that area. Anyway, that’s not the main point—could anyone explain the pros and cons of doing this job in Switzerland? Based on the paperwork I’ve received, the equivalence seems purely administrative or almost... What about working conditions, quality of life, salaries, etc.?

We’re a couple with a child living in the Paris region, and I’ll be relocating to Aix-en-Provence in spring 2026. We’d love to swap our apartment for a house with a pool within 20-30 minutes max of central Aix, with a budget of around 650k €.
In terms of climate and geography, I’ve read that Aix is in a basin where it can get really hot. What about the surrounding villages that are a bit more elevated, like Venelles? Is it just as stifling?
For a family, which area would you recommend?

Starting this spring, we want to settle near Aix-en-Provence. We're tired of living in the mountains with all the snow—we really need some sunshine and a fresh start. Is it hard to find a house to rent there? What about prices? If you have any great tips or useful info about the area, we’d love to hear it. So I’m reaching out to people who live there or know the country well: I’d like to know what the best ways are to advertise and get known in Thailand. Are there any local classifieds newspapers? First, I’d like to practice from my apartment. Is that allowed in Thailand? Ideally, I’d like to work part-time in a private hospital as an osteopath. I’m thinking that in Thailand, the medical field is much more open than in Europe!!! Has anyone seen an osteopath or chiropractor working in a Thai hospital? Do you know the price of a consultation?
