pour partir vivre au Quebec.
Je travaille actuellement dans le millieu du BTP (conducteur de travaux)
je me suis longuement renseigné sur les visas de travail et je trouve que cela prend beaucoup trop de temps a mon gout...
alors voila ma question :
si demain je part en prenant toutes mes affaires
et me voila fraichement débarqué au Canada juste avec le passeport en poche et toutes mes economies !
(je précise que j'ai du monde la bas quand même ^^)
quel sera pour moi le temps d'obtention d'un permis de travail en faisant les demarches necessaire sur place??
pour ensuite pouvoir travailler et m'installer
je précise aussi que je ne recherche pas forcement dans un premier temps un job dans mon domaine
au moins un pour subvenir a mes besoins et ensuite une fois les papiers de resident en poche je chercherai dans mon domaine.
Est ce que quelqu'un à dejà essayé et si oui peut-il me renseigné svp???
Pour ce qui est du travail, les papiers nécessaires son font en France et non au Canada.
Voir sur : www.immigrationcanada.com, je crois que la délégation québécoise est rue de la boétie à Paris. Donc c'est auprès de cet organisme que tu dois te renseigner.

Moi je suis venu avec un visa PVT qui s'obtient facilement aupres de l'ambassade du Canada à Paris, il est valable un an, ce qui te permet de travailler pour subvenir à tes besoins le temps de faire les demarches pour ton visa permanent (procédure d'au mois un an).
C'est sur que si tu pars juste avec ton passeport tu ne trouveras pas d'emploi sur place, il faut avoir un visa, le PVT est une bonne solution.

Oui j'ai fait ma demande de visa permanent à mon arrivée. Tu peux soit envoyer ta demande à Paris ou à Buffalo. On a continué à travailler en attendant le visa. mon conjoint avait demandé un visa emploi de perfectionnement moi j'étais en statut implicite (entre 2 visas) ce qui m'a permis de continuer de travailler.

Si tu peux mais pas en PVT, il faut que tu fasses la demande de visa permanent en France et tu pourras partir au Canada quand tu auras le visa (compter entre 1 an et 1 an et demi)

@ VICTORILaure : À 45 ans environ - et ce que je vais dire n'engage que moi - je réfléchirais à 2 fois avant de vouloir m'installer au Canada. Déjà, comme cela a été dit, la procédure est longue (compter un an et demi aujourd'hui), coûteuse (plusieurs milliers d'euros) et rien ne dit que vous serez acceptés (et donc les frais engagés ne seront pas remboursés). En effet, passé 35 ans il devient difficile - mais pas impossible - d'obtenir le visa de RP, alors à plus ou moins 45...
Autre point et non des moindres : avez-vous déjà passé du temps ici ? et si oui combien de temps ? La vie peut être très agréable ici mais elle n'a absolument rien à voir avec ce que l'on connaît en France. Rien.
Et repartir à zéro à votre âge (vous n'êtes pas vieux mais dans ce cas ça compte, à mon sens), avec tout ce que cela implique (mentalités, habitudes de vie, culture, climat, etc.), ça n'est jamais facile...
Alors loin de moi l'idée de vous décourager, mais pesez bien le pour et le contre et venez passer du temps ici, avec l'oeil d'un éventuel futur résident (pas d'un touriste émerveillé par le 1er flocon de neige ou par le rougeoiement des arbres en automne...). Et renseignez-vous, et bien ! Pas au BIQ de Paris qui va vous raconter des salades pour ne vous montrer que les points positifs du Canada... même chose concernant les reportages TV bien orientés vantant toutes les merveilles du plus-meilleur-pays-du monde ou encore les articles de L'Express...
Mais la première chose à faire, c'est de faire l'évaluation en ligne pour voir si vous pourriez être admis.
Ça se passe sur le site de l'ambassade canadienne je crois, mais les souvenirs sont loin...

Je n'ai pas voulu vous décourager mais vous êtes victimes du "syndrome carte-postale".

Le pays est magnifique mais l'accessibilité des fameux "grands espaces" est bien plus compliquée que ce que l'on connaît en France.
Quant à la "chaleur" des Québécois... certains le sont oui, chaleureux ; mais beaucoup plus quand on est touriste (usine à $), un peu moins quand on y vit.
Si vous êtes vraiment motivés, venez passer au moins 1 mois ici, et oubliez vos yeux de touristes...
Moi j'y suis bien, mais l'image qui est donnée en France est archi-fausse, certains ne le découvrent qu'une fois ici...
Et c'est comme partout, il y a du bon et du moins bon.
Je vais donner l'avis d'un retraité qui vit six mois en France et six mois à Québec et ce depuis 10 ans
Tout d'abord, il te faut venir vivre une fois l'hiver au Québec, certes c'est magnifique mais lorsque comme en 2008 il est tombé à Québec plus de 5 mètres de neige en accumulation et qu'il te faut chaque matin partir travailler et que tu as le "plaisir" de pelleter pour dégager ta voiture, là c'est moins drôle. Pour le travail, tu vas en trouver mais tu seras surtout au début le "maudit français" "voleur de job" et comme tu seras le dernier arrivé les plus mauvais horaires, le dernier choix pour les congés, le salaire minimum est aux alentours de 8 dollars l'heure, ce qui te permet de manger, de payer ton loyer et c'est tout.
Pour la santé, tu es dans un age où l'on commence à avoir besoin de médecin, ici pour avoir un médecin de famille (c'est l'expression) c'est très difficile car ils sont peu nombreux et surchargés de travail donc ils ne prennent que peu de nouveaux patients et toutjours sur RDV. Pour les spécialistes c'est en moyenne une attente de 6 à 8 mois pour un RDV, si c'est urgent c'est l'hopital avec des heures d'attente (24 à 48 heures d'attente).
Ensuite, il te faut savoir où t'installer, la ville ou la campagne ? Les mentalités ne sont pas les mêmes.
De plus, il te faudra trouver un logement puis l'installer car tu ne vas pas venir avec tes meubles, électroménagers, linges etc, celà te reviendrai plus dispendieux
que d'acheter du neuf sur place. Pour la voiture (obligatoire ici) même chose donc un gros budget au départ.
Ensuite la nostalgie de la France, même les plus "malins" y passent car après 45 ans dans un pays, il y a toujours un manque de quelque chose ou de quelqu'un.
Voilà, j'ai été franc, tout celà pour t'informer de la situation. Pour moi (nous sommes deux) c'est différent, nous sommes retraités et un de nos enfants et deux de nos petits enfants vivent à Montréal depuis 11 ans (nous sommes à Québec) nous les voyons fréquemment et si un jour nous en avons assez du Québec, retour au bercail en France.

Le PVT est réservé au moins de 35 ans donc faut oublier ça.
La solution de l'immigration est délicate, car il ne suffit pas de vouloir immigrer au Canada pour y être accepté: le pays sélectionne les candidats. Je ne connais pas votre profil, mais si vous avez peu de diplômes et d'expérience professionnelle, vu votre âge il sera difficile d'accumuler le nombre de points pour être admissible. Je vous suggère de faire l'évaluation sur ce site pour déterminer vos chances d'être sélectionnée:

Nous donnons $18.00 / hr ou je travaille et nous ne sommes pas les seules. A vous de choisir et de bien chercher.
Bien sur, des employés au salaire minimum, C'EST PLEIN, mais donnez vous la peine UN PEU de faire affaire avec une agence de placement et peut etre que vous seriez surpris.
