bonjour tout le monde. voila j'ai prévu de partir au Pérou fin novembre et revenir en juin 2010 donc pour une période de 7 à 8 mois.On m'avait dit qu'on n'avait pas besoin de visa car à l'arrivée sur le territoire du Pérou on a le droit à un tampon sur le passeport valable 90 jours et pour renouveler ce visa il faut sortir du territoire et revenir pour avoir droit à nouveau une autorisation de 90 jours.
Or j'ai apelé l'ambassade du pérou en France pour me confirmer de ces informations obtenues et on m'a répondu que depuis un an les formalitées avaient changées (depuis juin 2008), en effet maintenant pour un séjour touristique inférieur ou égal à trois mois, le passeport en cours de validité suffit, et le visa s’obtient à l’entrée sur le territoire (Il peut aller de 30 à 183 jours). donc du coup je vais changer mon projet, je pars tout de même faire du bénévolat près de cusco pour une période de 3 mois mais je voulais également voyager 3 mois avant cela afin de visiter le pays et surtout améliorer mon espagnol et pour mes 2 mois qui reste je ferais un petit tour en bolivie et reprendrais mon avion direction Paris depuis la Bolivie ou le Chili.
Alors ma question est : Comment obtenir un tampon valable 183 jours sur le passeport? Je ne parle pas très bien espagnol alors pensez vous que je pourrais tout de même obtenir facilement cette période de 183 jours?
Et j'en profite également pour vous demandez quelle compagnie aérienne me conseillez vous pour un billet d'avion AR pas très cher ?
Sinon je voyagerai seule durant les mois de décembre à janvier donc si cela vous dit de se rencontrer sur place pas de souci.

J'ai passé la frontière peruvienne 3 fois ces derniers temps. La première fois, en aterrissant à Lima, on dirait que je pouvais rester 10 jours seulement (on dirait parce que j'arrive pas à bien lire sur mon passeport). Ca me semble bizarre mais c'est peut-etre parce que j'avais ecrit sur le papier à remplir que j'allais en Bolivie par voie terrestre dans la semaine.
Donc après, j'ai passé deux fois la frontière dans le sens bolivie-pérou, et dans les deux cas, ils m'ont donné 90 jours. C'était en mars et en aout. Donc à mon avis pas de problème pour avoir 90 jours, juste bien dire que tu es touriste, c'est plus simple que d'expliquer que tu vas faire du volontariat ect ect. Si tu veux rester plus de 90 jours au pérou, il te suffira de passer une frontière et de revenir pour avoir de nouveau 90 jours.
Attention, pour la Bolivie, c'est un peu différent, en rentrant dans le pays, ils te donnent un visa touristique de 30 jours que tu peux faire prolonger 60 jours de plus, en allant dans un bureau de migracion, présent dans les grandes villes. Ca coute rien, juste le prix d'une photocopie. Si tu dépasses la durée maximale, tu devras payer une amende de 14 bolivianos par jour en plus.
J'ai été à Lima depuis madrid avec la compagnie aircomet. A/R à 650€. en ce moment ils annoncent des prix de 611 euros je crois. Problème, à ce prix, impossible d'échanger son billet. Je suis pas un expert des compagnies sure, mais ils partent à l'heure. Et le personnel est courtois.
Rien de changé. En arrivant au Pérou on vous accorde une autorisation de séjour de 90 jours. Ensuite il suffit de sortir du pays et de revenir, chaque fois on vous redonnera 90 jours.
Je me suis renseignée courant aout auprès du consulat du pérou en france pour connaitre les formalités pour avoir le visa de 6 mois, au lieu de 3, et on m'a répondu qu'à présent le maximum était de 6 mois à l'immigration lors de l'entrée au pays. Je suis allée au Pérou il y a 15 jours et j'ai reposé la question en passant l'immigration pour la prochaine fois où je viendrai (et où je compte rester 10 mois), et on m'a à nouveau confirmé.
Pour les prix des billets, ça dépend, à 2 reprises j'ai pris American Airlines et chaque trajet j'ai eu des soucis par Miami; une fois j'ai pris la TAM et j'ai trouvé le service vraiment meilleur, mais bon c'est pas toujours la moins chere.
Bon moi je peux te dire, en toutes connaissances de cause car j'ai vecu 2 ans au Perou, que depuis juin 2008 le pays delivre des visas pour 183 jours (6 mois) maximum. Et pour le fait de sortir du pays pour avoir le visa renouvele, ca c'est du sur, c'est d'ailleurs pour cette raison que j'etais partie en Equateur. Et ca marche tout le temps, y'a pas de limites, en 2 ans je suis sortie plusieurs fois du territoire peruvien et a chaque fois mon visa a ete renouvele.
La je repars en novembre pour le Perou, j'y resterai au moins un an et j'ai un billet pour 9 mois pour l'instant, avec la date de retour modifiable. Au consulat du Perou a Paris ils m'ont dit que le fait de partir sans visa avec un retour prevu pour dans 9 mois (alors que le maximum autorise est de 6 mois), ca pouvait me causer des problemes a l'aeroport.
Est-ce qu'il vous est deja arrive qu'on ne vous laisse pas passer aux douanes parce que vous n'aviez pas de visa pour le Perou et que votre retour etait prevu en dehors des limites legales ? J'avoue que la fille du consulat m'a mis le doute...
En ce qui concerne les billets d'avion, en general Iberia propose des prix raisonnables, mais il se trouve que cette annee j'ai trouve des meilleurs tarifs chez TAM. Mais tout depend si on pars 3 ou un an, les tarifs changent en fonction de ca aussi.
Tu demandes à la douanes quand tu arrives 6 mois, tu dis que tu es ici pour un projet humanitaire et tu auras ton visa de 6 mois. Apres tu sors 5 minutes du pays et tu auras de nouveau un visa. Tu peux avoir des problèmes si tu dépasses les dates sinon pour les avions l faut être a l'affut car les prix changent souvent et cela dépend beaucoup des période voir du jour. J'ai vu une fois un billet a 460 euros aller retour avec iberia par exemple mais entre 600 et 700 euros tu trouveras de nombreux vols

Ce que j'ai compris : Pour un allé retour de 3 mois, pas besoin de visa.
Questions :
1 - Quelqu'un peut il me dire sur quel site je peux réserver le billet allé et retour(valable
1an) ? je tiens absolument a prendre le retour au cas où j'ai un pépin là-bas.
2 - Vu que je prend un billet retour valable un an, concernant le visa, dois-je faire une démarche particuliere avant de partir ou c'est une fois sur place que je sors du térritoire tous les 3 mois pour le renouveller ?
3 - ça coute combien le visa a chaque sortie du térritoire ? Pour le tampon?
4- si jamais je trouve pas de billet valable 1 an, est ce que je peux prendre un aller simple ? quels sont les risques ?

- A ma connaissance si tu veux prendre un billet d'avion valable un an il faut que tu l'achetes en agence de voyages, parce que sur internet les dates de retour sur un an ne sont pas disponibles. Moi j'ai voulu acheter mon billet valable un an sur internet et je me suis renseignee pour ca, et on m'a dit que c'etait pas possible.
- Pour le visa, comme moi aussi je pars pour un an, au consulat on m'a dit qu'a l'aeroport ils pouvaient me faire des problemes si je partais sans visa, mais je l'ai fait la derniere fois et j'ai pas eu de problemes. Pour le Perou tu as le droit a 6 mois sans visa, donc une fois sur place si tu sors du territoire ton visa sera automatiquement renouvele. Dans tous les cas ils ne delivrent jamais de visa pour un an! Le maximum c'est 6 mois, et tu auras automatiquement le tampon en rentrant sur le territoire peruvien.
- Quand tu sors du Perou et que tu y entres de nouveau, tu ne payes pas le tampon, c'est gratuit! Comme je t'ai dit tu as le droit a 6 mois en tant que touriste sur le territoire peruvien, et a chaque fois que tu sors du pays et que tu y re-rentres ces 6 mois sont renouveles.
- Pour ton billet tu trouveras forcement un retour, tu ne peux pas partir au Perou avec seulement un aller, il te faut absolument un retour, sauf si tu es de nationalite peruvienne. Dans une agence tu pourras acheter un billet aller-retour sur 9 mois a peu pres (car les dates retour ne sont pas ouvertes au dela de 9 mois), et tu demandes que la date retour soit changeable et que le billet soit valable un an.

On m'a absolument rien dit en arrivant à Lima. Puis je suis reparti 2mois plus tard avec un billet de retour acheté environ 500€ 3ou5 jours avant le départ ! Voilà ^^

I’m planning a trip from France to Alberta/British Columbia, and I’m unsure about which bank card to use for the security deposit with the rental company (I’m thinking of going with AVIS).
I contacted Avis Canada, and they told me a credit card is absolutely required. I asked my bank for a credit card (a *real* credit card), but they only offered me a deferred debit card.
My question: For a rental with Avis Canada, is a Gold International Mastercard deferred debit card usable for the security deposit needed to finalize the rental? Is the "CREDIT" label enough? (Some cards say "CREDIT" and others say "CARTE DE CREDIT"—seems minor, but it’s actually a big deal in how the card works.)
I’ve seen conflicting info everywhere I look... My bank says it’s *usually* okay (the deferred debit card), while Avis Canada insists it *must* be a credit card, not debit—even when I mention the deferred debit card.
I know the whole credit card concept is already confusing, and on top of that, some sites say a deferred debit card counts as a credit card, while others say it doesn’t.

I’ll explain my situation.
Unfortunately, I lost my passport, and I only realized it two weeks before my departure for a humanitarian mission in Libya. I’m a nurse, and this mission really means a lot to me.
First, I applied for an emergency passport, but it was denied by the Val-d'Oise prefecture on the grounds that a planned humanitarian mission wasn’t considered an urgent reason.
So, I submitted a biometric passport application on July 20th. Since then, the tracking has been stuck, and the town hall can’t (or won’t) give me any clear information. Every time I call, I get a different story. The last update I received was that the passport had been produced since July 23rd with a status of "about to be shipped," but nothing since then.
I’ve managed to push my departure back to next Tuesday at the latest, but I’m starting to really panic.
Have any of you submitted an application around July 20th, especially in Val-d'Oise (95)? How long did you wait between the passport being produced and it being available at the town hall? Is it normal for this step to take this long?
This mission means so much to me. I had everything organized, and I’m also supposed to attend a friend’s wedding right after near the border.

I have to leave for Perth, Australia in a week, for 7 days, and I couldn’t get my international driver’s permit due to processing and delivery delays.
The information I’ve found about whether an international permit is required is contradictory. Some sources say you need one, others say you don’t.
Could anyone let me know if an international driver’s permit is necessary to rent a car in Australia (Perth), or if a French license is enough for a 7-day rental?
I’m a bit embarrassed because I need to travel to Quebec from February 27th to March 13th. I’m a regular visitor to Canada—this will be my 10th trip since 1997, plus a year as a permanent resident (2000–2001) and a cross-country run from Vancouver to Halifax in 2011. So, I’m definitely not a terrorist!
But since our last trip in July 2015, they’ve introduced this eTA thing. Seems more like a way to make money than to actually secure Canada, if you ask me, but anyway, that’s not the point.
I applied for an eTA for myself, my wife, and our two kids. They all got approved within hours, but not me! I was asked to create a GC key and then an IRCC account, which I did. Normally, you get news within 72 hours, but since Monday, January 15th, nothing!
In the "message" section of the account, it says "explanation letter (required)" with a deadline of January 25th, but I can’t find any explanation anywhere—despite searching the Canadian government website and Google. No links, nothing!
I’ve emailed them but haven’t heard back yet. I’m thinking of calling the Canadian embassy in Paris tomorrow. Even though I’m not stressing yet, it’d be a bummer if everyone else got to go without me!
If anyone’s had this issue before or knows what this explanation letter is about, I’d love to hear more.

I’m heading to Seoul in September, and to do that I need to get a travel authorization that we apply for through K-ETA....... turns out I can (barely, I admit) fill out the form up to the address of our "stay location," but every address I’ve entered has been rejected by the system. I’ve tried my hotel, the Lotte Hotel (which is well-known in Seoul), the airport—basically, I’ve entered at least 20 addresses, all rejected....
So, to anyone who’s successfully gotten the authorization, could you tell me which address you used to get that "elusive" approval?...

I bought a one-way flight (Ryanair) and a return flight (EasyJet) to spend a week in Morocco in April.
My passport expires 3 weeks after the return date.
Some websites say the passport must be valid for 3 months at the time of entry.
However, it will still be valid both on entry and return, but its validity will only be 1 month at the time of entry (and 3 weeks on the return date, everything prepaid).
It's an individual family trip.
The consulate can't give me an answer—they're still looking into it (really!)
Last year, we stayed for 3 months in Thailand, north of Khao Lak, and were able to benefit from the 2-month visa exemption, renewable for one month by going to Takua Pa to validate a 1-month extension (1,900 baht).
This year, it’s a disaster for us—not only were we planning a 4-month stay, adding a visa run in between (which some say is quite risky), but the law is apparently changing in the coming months with the return of the 1-month exemption (plus the usual 1-month option). So, we looked into applying for a 6-month multiple-entry visa, allowing a maximum of 60 consecutive days in Thailand. However, I can’t find anywhere the minimum time required outside Thailand between two stays—do any of you have an idea?

As a French national, I need to obtain a short-stay visa that can be converted to a long-stay one. To do this, I have to send the required documents to the Madagascar embassy in Paris.
No issues with that procedure so far.
If I get this visa, once I arrive in Madagascar, I’ll need to provide the same documents to the Ministry of the Interior in Anosy. I’m trying to find an email address or website for the Ministry to check which documents I need to submit (I think they ask for additional ones).

I’d like to know if anyone has already applied for a private visa to Russia with an invitation from a Russian resident.
I traveled earlier this year with an e-visa, but since I want to stay longer, I’ll be visiting my friend who lives in eastern Russia.
For the visa application, does the invitation need to be on an official paper form issued by the Russian ministry? And most importantly, do I need to present the original for the application, or is there an electronic version that can be sent directly to the consulate in France?

I filled out the B2 form to apply for a visa, created an account on Atvis to pay the visa fees and schedule a meet-up, but every time I try to pay with my Boursobank Visa 1st card, they refuse the payment with a message telling me to check my details (address), even though everything is correct. Does anyone know why this is happening, or maybe they don’t accept Visa cards? Are you aware of this?

On her ticket, it only has her maiden name (e.g., Martine DUPOND).
On her passport, it’s written as Martine DUPOND épouse AVRY.
No issues for travel, I hope I did the right thing with the ticket?
Then for the ESTA, is just Martine DUPOND enough, or do I need to include the "épouse AVRY" part like on the passport?

I saw on the French Embassy in Peru’s website and the Peruvian Consulate in Paris’s site that the rule is to have a passport valid for 6 months *after the arrival date* (not the return date).
I arrive in Peru on August 13, 2019 (for about twelve days), and my passport is valid until February 16, 2020.
That’s 6 months and 3 days after my arrival date in Peru. In my opinion, I’m good to go.
But could I still be denied entry if they say I don’t cover the return date or that I’m too close to the 6-month mark?
I read on the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs website that it’s possible to apply for a temporary driving permit in China, valid for 1 month.
I’m planning to rent a car (without a driver) to explore part of the country next August, so I was wondering:
