Je suis dans une situation assez compliquée et peut-etre que l'un d'entre vous aurait des avis ou des idées à me donner car je suis complètement perdue.
J'ai rencontré mon mari aux Etats-Unis.
Je suis française et lui également mais a habité la-bas pendant 15 ans.
Le problème est le suivant : il est venu aux US à l'age de 10 ans et du coup il etait sous le visa de ses parents jusqu'à ses 21 ans et ensuite il a fait son propre visa( l un des seuls qu'il ne peut pas passer à sa femme car nous nous sommes mariés après qu'il ait demandé le visa.)
Nous avons donc quitté le pays tous les 2 et sommes désormais revenus en France mais il a enormément de mal à s'adapter ici car ayant grandi aux USA il se sent davantage américain que français( pas la meme culture, il parle bcp mieux anglais que français).. en plus de cela, toute sa famille et ses amis sont là- bas...
Nous ne savons pas quoi faire, y' aurait-il une quelconque loi pour une personne ayant vécu tout ce temps là- bas? ou sinon quel type de visa pourrions nous faire tous les 2 pour pouvoir séjourner là bas et pouvoir travailler?

Merci de votre réponse mais c'est bien plus compliqué que ça.
On a quitté le territoire ensemble depuis presque 1 an à la suite du refus du visa U-2 pour moi pour les raisons que je vous ai expliqué précédemment, et juste après qu'il ait obtenu son visa.
Donc ce qui pose un vrai problème car pour qu'il puisse demander la green card, il faut qu'il reste 3 ans sur le territoire sans sortir et en travaillant.
Du coup on a pas de solutions....
Oui je viens de lire sur le site de l'immigration les raison que vous venez d'évoquer.
Apparemment le U visa est bon pour 4 ans.
Si votre mari à grandi aux U.S, il doit sûrement avoir des contacts, et (re)trouver un job devrait être assez facile.
Avez vous penser à l'option Visa de Travail (sponsor) ?
Oui merci en effet on y pense à cette option, mais le problème est que le visa de travail n'aboutit pas à la Green Card, et sera également un problème pour moi car ça ne me donnera pas le droit de travailler. ( j ai eu un master 2 en France)
Ce n'est peut être pas la meilleure option mais ça reste une option quand même..
Le visa de travail peut aboutir à la Green Card.
Mais comme vous venez de le dire, vous ne pourrez pas travailler, et le chemin qui mène à la Green Card est long et couteux. Mais c'est une option.
Dernière option: L'un de vous travail dans une boîte internationale en France et demande à être "délocalisé" dans la branche U.S. (E1/E2 si je ne me trompe pas)
Dans ce cas le conjoint qui suit l'autre à la possibilité de travailler (après avoir remplit une autorisation de travail).

il y a toujours des solutions (c'est bien la 1ere fois que je vois un francais avec un visa U...il a du subir qq chose de 'special' pour l'avoir obtenu)😕
par exemple, il retourne aux US, trouve du travail et
toi tu reprends des etudes (si possible qui couvrent les 3 ans): visa F1
ou alors tu demandes un visa B2 et tu viens le voir aux US: 6 mois par an.
ou alors tu trouves un employeur qui est pret a te sponsoriser pour ton propre visa de travail: visa H1b, Visa E2 Employe (il faut que la boite soit francaise).
ou alors, si tu est une jeune professionelle, tu cherches une boite qui peut t'accueuillir via le visa J1 (18 mois).
et quand vous avez passe les 3 ans (c'est court 3 ans) sur le sol US (enfin le detenteur du U), vous faites la demande de la GC ...

Hélas son avocate nous a dit que le fait qu'il soit parti du territoire son visa a ete annulé... Et que si on voulait on pouvait refaire une demande en incluant nous 2( et la on aura demandé le visa au moment ou nous sommes mariés) sauf que mis a part que cette solution me paraisse bizarre, l'attente est juste affreuse ( il a attendu 2 ans pour avoir la reposne pr son visa)
Si meme on admet qu il arrive à recuperer son visa, les solutions que tu m'as dites me paraissent difficiles car je ne parle pas super bien anglais au point qu'une entreprise me sponsorise j'ai pas du tt confiance en moi quand je parle anglais.
Pour le B2 impossible que l on soit a distance pdt 6 mois car on a deja vecu 3 ans de relation amoureuse à distance et c'etait vraiment tres dur et pr le F1 tout simplement tres couteux et ne dure pas 3 ans... Surtout 3 ans aussi sans numero de securite sociale donc sans assurances...

si tu es sous F1, et que lui travaille: tu seras sous son assurance par ex ( sinon comment font les etudiants qui ne sont pas maries, ou qui ne sont pas americains: tu crois vraiment qu'ils n'ont pas d'assurance sante😉 ca c'est une excuse bidon)
tu peux faire une ecole de langue aussi par ex, si tu ne parles pas bien anglais.
pourquoi ne pas aller au Royaume-Uni: pas besoin de visa (et en attendant vous jouez a la loterie: on ne sait jamais)
car la, malgre qu'on te propose des solutions (oui ca peut couter des $$, oui vous pouvez etre separes a nouveau qqs mois, oui il va falloir apprendre l'anglais), rien ne te convient.
le mieux c'est d'aller dans un autre pays europeen pour l'instant car pas besoin de visa ...et mentalite differente de la France!

Je confirme que l'assurance n'est pas un problème.
J'ai commencé avec une assurance française me couvrant aux U.S tout comme les autres "étudiants internationaux"

Je n'ai pas pas dit que tes options me convenaient pas, j'y reflechis, ça reste des options mais ça ne répond pas à la question que j'ai posé initialement en demandant si il n'y avait pas une quelconque loi pour une personne ayant habité autant de temps dans le pays...

Le truc c'est que la visa U n'est pas un visa immigrant.
Vous pouvez avoir vécu 15/20 ans aux U.S avec ce visa, une fois que le dossier judiciaire est classé, le Visa prend fin. Ce sera pareil pour le reste de sa famille, à moins qu'ils ne fassent la demande de Green Card avant l'expiration du Visa.

After living for many years in the West (Belgium, Italy, Switzerland),
I’ve decided to return and settle in Cameroon, my home country.
Currently an entrepreneur in real estate and transport, I’m looking for a partner / partners / foundation to collaborate on an agriculture project, as I own 10 hectares of land.
The hectares have remained unused for years due to a lack of financial means, since the project requires what I’d call a considerable investment. As the main stakeholder, I have a minimal contribution to offer.
I believe it’s time to bring this space to life to meet pressing needs and serve the common good of society.
The project is simple:
1) Grow maize + build a processing plant to produce flour
2) Open a mini supermarket + a modern bakery using the flour for pastries, etc.

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
