Avec mon conjoint nous sommes originaires de Nouvelle-Calédonie (dans le Pacifique, près de l'Australie) et nous souhaitons partir 1 an au Canada, au Québec.
Quelqu'un saurait-il si le gouvernement canadien accorde aussi les visas pour cette région du monde (l'Outre-Mer)???
Nous attendons l'ouverture des inscriptions pour les visas, vers le mois de novembre (je crois!) pour retirer les dossiers et faire notre demande.
Nous sommes intéressés par les visas "working holiday" (PVT).
J'ai entendu dire que le délai d'attente, une fois les dossiers complétés et ré-envoyés, était d'1 mois. Est-ce vraiment ça?? Pouvons-nous espérer avoir une réponse au plus tard à la fin du mois de décembre?? Nous aimerions être sur le territoire canadien dès le début du mois de février.
En espérant que quelqu'un puisse très vite apporter des réponses à toutes ces questions!!

Donc si je comprends bien, on peut seulement y aller avec le visa touristique, pour une durée de 6 mois tout au plus ?? Ce qui signifie interdiction d'y travailler, même pour des emplois saisonniers....

Quant au fait d'habiter habituellement en France, ça veut bel et bien dire quelque chose. On n'habite pas à deux ou trois endroits. Là où vous avez un logement, où vous rentrez après votre journée de boulot ou d'études, où vous payez vos impôts ou recevez vos allocations, bien c'est votre lieu de résidence habituel, ce n'est pas très compliqué je crois 😉
Et contacter le consulat ou l'ambassade, c'est inutile: ils vont simplement vous reférer au site web. Les agents consulaires ne répondent généralement pas aux questions du public quand l'info est accessible sur le site internet.

Je viens de lire votre message concernant les PVT NON accordés à la Nouvelle-Caédonie.
Dans votre cas, les choses me paraissent plus simple dans le sens où il suffit que votre compagne mette votre adresse de résidence en métropole. Tant qu'une adresse de France apparaît dans le dossier, normalement c'est bon! Il ne vont pas vérifier si elle réside vraiment à cette adresse. Et même s'ils se rendent compte qu'une adresse calédonienne apparaît sur son passeport (par exemple), cela ne signifie rien puisque elle a très bien pu déménager, pour vous rejoindre en métropole. Elle pourra se justifier comme cela.
En tout cas, je pense que c'est peine perdue d'envoyer un dossier avec une adresse calédonienne (sniff pour mon conjoint et moi!!), comme il est écrit sur le site du gouvernement canadien.

Ça c'est complètement illégal...le travail au noir vaut mieux éviter! 🙁 C'est renvoi illico dans ton pays et beaucoup plus problématique pour revenir!
Pour travailler au Canada il faut impérativement un permis de travail AVANT d'arriver.
Quant à partir 6 mois comme touriste, assurez-vous d'avoir de bons moyens financiers et de montrer vos attaches en NC...les agents frontaliers ont l'habitude de repérer les Français qui prétendent venir comme visiteur alors qu'en réalité ils cherchent à venir travailler car plus de PVT disponibles...chaque semaine des Français se font renvoyer illico dans leur pays.

Mon ami est né en Nouvelle Calédonie, a déjà vécu en France, il est et possède un passeport français ; seulement, nous avons déménagé courant 2013 en France. Nous travaillons actuellement en France, sommes enregistrés à la sécurité sociale en France. Par contre, nous n'avons pas encore de feuille d'impôt, puisque de retour en France depuis moins d'un an.
Et comme la résidence habituelle reste un terme flou dans la durée, même si nous sommes maintenant établis en France, donc résidents en France, je ne sais pas dans quelle mesure il faut apporter quelque preuve.

Moi je trouve ça plutôt simple, vous avez emménagé en France l'an dernier et êtes enregistrés à la sécurité sociale, donc maintenant votre résidence habituelle c'est la France, voilà...

Sur le site de l'ambassade, il est écrit: "Nous considérons que la résidence habituelle d’un candidat est en France s’il habite en France" donc à partir du moment où vous pouvez prouver que vous y vivez (avec un bail locatif par exemple), c'est bon.
