Quid d'un itinéraire ?
Je viens de suisse je dois envoyer mon passeport a paris pour le visa cela est il rapide , est ce que je peux acheter le billet avant d'avoir le visa celui ci me sera t'il fourni ?
Qu'elles sont les tarifs bon marché pour une chambre simple ?
Oui, 17 jours est suffisant. L'itinéraire classique est Khiva-Boukhara-Samarcand-Tashkent. Bien sur c'est possible de la faire en sens inverse mais c'est selon moi mieux de finir par la magnifique Samarcand. Tashkent n'est pas du tout touristique mais j'ai aimé y passer du temps à flaner. Avec du temps, je conseillerais aussi la ville de Shakhrisbaz, la ville natale de Tamerlan notament pour admirer l'Ark Saraï. De plus pour y aller il faut emprunter des routes de montagne, ce qui change beaucoup de la monotonie des paysages (champs de coton).
Concernant les déplacements il y a le train. Perso, j'ai pris le taxi collectif, qui consiste en des voitures privées (souvent des Nexia) qui partent une fois remplie.
Au départ, j'ai pris un vol Paris->Tashkent, puis un vol intérieur Tashkent-Ourgentch pour rejoindre Khiva. Mais il y a aussi parfois des vols directs Paris->Ourgentch, ça dépend de la saison.
J'y étais en octobre dernier et il n'y avait aucun pb de sécurité. Les flics sont juste pénibles à controler les papiers des touristes dans le métro.
Perso, j'ai obtenu mon visa en 1 semainee, allant sur place. Ce visa est facile à avoir.
Les tarifs des hotels sont un peu élevés à Tashkent. Sinon à Boukhara ou Samarcand, tu peux trouver des chambres d'hotes pour 20 ou 30$.

1: Avez vous le visa Ouzbek?
2: Pour reserve le billet d'avion Tashkent-Ourghentch, il faut votre copie de passeport et 70$ (econom class) ou 91$ (business class).
3: Qeulle adress a Tashkent (hotel, les monumets historiques ou ...)?
4: Si vous avez le visa d'ouzbek, le billet d'avion allez-retour, votre programme (avec la registration d'hotel...), il n'aura pas de problem avec le police.
5: La mer d'Aral se trouve au Mouynak (Republique Karakalpakistan), loin de la region du Noukous environ 200 km. Ici vous pouvez prendre un taxi.
6: Ici l'argent en dollar ( et soum d'ozbek aussi). Il y a des bancomats bien sur.
7: Oui, vous pouvez rencontre avec les backpackers.
Si vous souhaitez aller à Moynaq et voir les bateaux échoués, il faut dans ce cas là, commencer votre voyage par un vol Tachkent-Noukous.
Le trajet en taxi dure un peu plus de 4h aller-retour.
Vous pouvez aussi visiter le Musée d'Art Savitsky de Noukous.
Le lendemain, direction Khiva, en visitant les Forteresses du désert, c'est vraiment impressionnant !!!
Si vous allez dans la Vallée de Ferghana, allez visiter l'usine de soie de Margilan, ou la poterie de Richtan
Préférez le dollar à l'euro (le taux de change est mieux connu). La monnais officille étant le soum
Sur place tu peux te procurer un billet Tashkent-Ourgentch chez Ouzbekistan Airways, qui a le monopole des vols intérieurs. Je crois qu'ils ont une antenne à Paris ou une compagnie partenaire si tu veux te procurer le billet à l'avance. Tu devrais trouver des infos en faisant des recherches sur ce site.
J'ai fait appel à l'ambassade de France pour ce fameux document de protection consulaire, que j'ai montré aux policiers du métro les 2 fois où j'ai été embété. J'avais envoyé un mail, ou peut-être une demande par fax, je ne me rappelle plus, et je suis allé à l'ambassade le 1er jour à Tashkent. Tu devrais trouver les détails sur le net. De plus, tu peux avoir des détails sur les régions à éviter. J'ai trouvé ces conseils plus précieux que ceux du ministère des affaires étrangères qui est un peu parano. Typiquement, seule la région de la Ferghana peut-être sensible. Pour le reste, le pays est très sur. Les flics, TRES nombreux, n'emmerdent les touristes que dans le métro. Ailleurs, ce sont les ouzbeks qui sont emmerdés.
Le plus difficile est en fait de communiquer. Pour le reste, que ce soit un Uzbek, un Russe ou un Coréen (grosse communauté), ils sont tous serviables.
Je ne sais plus si tu y vas avant le coupe du monde de foot, mais attends toi à ce qu'on te demande pourquoi l'Equipe de France est si nulle 🙂
Tu peux trouver des bankomats à Tashkent, essentiellement dans les grands hotels. Prévois donc du cash, surtout quand tu vas quitter Tashkent. Là-bas le dollar est roi. Prévois aussi de la place. 1000 sum vaut un peu moins de 50 centimes d'euros. Et sachant que le plus gros billet vaut ... 1000 sum, je te laisse imaginer le nombre de billets qu'il faut. Je me suis promener avec un nombre incroyable de liasses 😎
En prenant des chambres d'hotes, tu n'aura pas de mal à rencontrer d'autres voyageurs. D'ailleurs j'ai sympathisé avec un autre Français à Khiva, et avec qui j'ai partagé pas mal de transports. A Khiva, dans la citadelle, il y a un petit office du tourisme, qui te permet de laisser une annonce pour trouver d'autres voyageurs, par exemple pour partager un taxi pour les citadelles dans le désert.

il y a des tas de touriste, plus tu frequentes les lieux pas cher, dortoirs et autres plus tu croiseras des touristes
Bonjour Damien. J'étais en Ouzbékistan il y a 3 semaines. Effectivement, le pays est très sûr. Juste prendre la peine de conserver les petits papiers de l'enregistrement (obligatoire) dans chaque hôtel. Personnellement, je n'ai pas eu droit à un contrôle, mais ça peut arriver.
A Tachkent, je crois qu'il y a un petit hôtel pas cher à côté de la gare. Certains voyageurs me l'on signalé. Heu... oui, c'est très facile de rencontrer d'autres voyageurs et toujours très sympa.
Pour ma part, je n'ai jamais payé plus de 10$ la nuit pour un logement et tous étaient corrects.
J'ai commencé par visiter Samarkand puis me suis dirigée vers Boukhara et Khiva et je n'ai pas du tout regretté ce choix. Les sites de Samarkand sont plutôt dispersés dans la ville et les aménagements modernes. J'ai entendu beaucoup de voyageurs qui, ayant terminé par là, étaient déçus. Les vieilles villes de Boukhara et de Khiva sont rassemblées en un seul site et son piétonnières. Aussi, ne pas hésiter à sortir des murailles, surtout à Khiva : très gentilles rencontres en perspective dans les petites ruelles habitées.
Question argent : emporter du liquide et de préférence des dollars. Ne pas hésiter à changer au marché noir (on trouve des vendeurs sur tous les marchés et ils ne cherchent pas d'emblée à vous arnaquer) Le taux officiel ne ressemble à rien du tout. Heu... tâche aussi de tout dépenser avant de revenir à l'aéroport. Suite à un (soi-disant ?) problème de machine, il ne m'a pas été possible de revendre mes derniers sums, même au mauvais taux de l'aéroport.
Question transports : j'ai tout fait en transport en commun. Le taxi collectif est vraiment ce qu'il y a de plus simple pour plusieurs destinations. Sinon, le train est tout en voyage en soi.
Un tuyau : si tu passes par Shakirsabz - ce qui vaut vraiment la peine (chouette ambiance de petite ville provinciale), tâche de passer au moins une nuit au "Shakrisabz Tour & Travel", une guesthouse incroyable à l'accueil inoubliable. Mon seul regret : ne pas y être restée plus longtemps, notamment pour faire trek ou balade dans les montagnes autour de Langar.
Avec Uzbekistan Airways, même en tant qu'étranger, si tu as moins de 28ans, tu as droit à une réduction "jeune" sur les prix des billets d'avion !!!

Savez-vous que l’attestation de protection consulaire est une préoccupation typiquement française et qui ne vous rend pas « au dessus des lois ou contrôles » ?
Cela fait des années que les flics et officiels de Karimov ont reçu instructions d’être « plus cool » et moins pointilleux.
Cela n’empêche que vous devez être en ordre du point de vue administratif.
Ne perdez pas de temps à vous procurer ce bout de papier. Il n’a guère plus qu’un effet placebo !

ce doc fait office de passeport et si les flics veulent faire du chantage et mettre votre passeport dasn leurs poche, avec ce bout de papier , ils ont l'air de rien !

L'année dernière la police était toujours pénible. J'avais demandé cette attestation de protection consulaire à l'ambassade France a Tashkent. Je l'ai présenté les 2 fois où j'ai été controlé. Les flics l'ont lu complètement. La 1ère fois, RAS. La 2ème fois le "chef" m'a fait suer parce que je n'avais que la photocopie du passeport et pas l'original. Impossible de savoir si leur comportement aurait été différent sans cette lettre.
Je précise qu'il s'agit des flics du métro. Ailleurs ils sont bien cool.

I’m planning a trip from France to Alberta/British Columbia, and I’m unsure about which bank card to use for the security deposit with the rental company (I’m thinking of going with AVIS).
I contacted Avis Canada, and they told me a credit card is absolutely required. I asked my bank for a credit card (a *real* credit card), but they only offered me a deferred debit card.
My question: For a rental with Avis Canada, is a Gold International Mastercard deferred debit card usable for the security deposit needed to finalize the rental? Is the "CREDIT" label enough? (Some cards say "CREDIT" and others say "CARTE DE CREDIT"—seems minor, but it’s actually a big deal in how the card works.)
I’ve seen conflicting info everywhere I look... My bank says it’s *usually* okay (the deferred debit card), while Avis Canada insists it *must* be a credit card, not debit—even when I mention the deferred debit card.
I know the whole credit card concept is already confusing, and on top of that, some sites say a deferred debit card counts as a credit card, while others say it doesn’t.

I’ll explain my situation.
Unfortunately, I lost my passport, and I only realized it two weeks before my departure for a humanitarian mission in Libya. I’m a nurse, and this mission really means a lot to me.
First, I applied for an emergency passport, but it was denied by the Val-d'Oise prefecture on the grounds that a planned humanitarian mission wasn’t considered an urgent reason.
So, I submitted a biometric passport application on July 20th. Since then, the tracking has been stuck, and the town hall can’t (or won’t) give me any clear information. Every time I call, I get a different story. The last update I received was that the passport had been produced since July 23rd with a status of "about to be shipped," but nothing since then.
I’ve managed to push my departure back to next Tuesday at the latest, but I’m starting to really panic.
Have any of you submitted an application around July 20th, especially in Val-d'Oise (95)? How long did you wait between the passport being produced and it being available at the town hall? Is it normal for this step to take this long?
This mission means so much to me. I had everything organized, and I’m also supposed to attend a friend’s wedding right after near the border.

I’m a bit embarrassed because I need to travel to Quebec from February 27th to March 13th. I’m a regular visitor to Canada—this will be my 10th trip since 1997, plus a year as a permanent resident (2000–2001) and a cross-country run from Vancouver to Halifax in 2011. So, I’m definitely not a terrorist!
But since our last trip in July 2015, they’ve introduced this eTA thing. Seems more like a way to make money than to actually secure Canada, if you ask me, but anyway, that’s not the point.
I applied for an eTA for myself, my wife, and our two kids. They all got approved within hours, but not me! I was asked to create a GC key and then an IRCC account, which I did. Normally, you get news within 72 hours, but since Monday, January 15th, nothing!
In the "message" section of the account, it says "explanation letter (required)" with a deadline of January 25th, but I can’t find any explanation anywhere—despite searching the Canadian government website and Google. No links, nothing!
I’ve emailed them but haven’t heard back yet. I’m thinking of calling the Canadian embassy in Paris tomorrow. Even though I’m not stressing yet, it’d be a bummer if everyone else got to go without me!
If anyone’s had this issue before or knows what this explanation letter is about, I’d love to hear more.

I’ve tried my hotel, the Lotte Hotel (which is well-known in Seoul), the airport—basically, I’ve entered at least 20 addresses, all rejected....
So, to anyone who’s successfully gotten the authorization, could you tell me which address you used to get that "elusive" approval?...

I bought a one-way flight (Ryanair) and a return flight (EasyJet) to spend a week in Morocco in April.
My passport expires 3 weeks after the return date.
Some websites say the passport must be valid for 3 months at the time of entry.
However, it will still be valid both on entry and return, but its validity will only be 1 month at the time of entry (and 3 weeks on the return date, everything prepaid).
It's an individual family trip.
The consulate can't give me an answer—they're still looking into it (really!)
Last year, we stayed for 3 months in Thailand, north of Khao Lak, and were able to benefit from the 2-month visa exemption, renewable for one month by going to Takua Pa to validate a 1-month extension (1,900 baht).
This year, it’s a disaster for us—not only were we planning a 4-month stay, adding a visa run in between (which some say is quite risky), but the law is apparently changing in the coming months with the return of the 1-month exemption (plus the usual 1-month option). So, we looked into applying for a 6-month multiple-entry visa, allowing a maximum of 60 consecutive days in Thailand. However, I can’t find anywhere the minimum time required outside Thailand between two stays—do any of you have an idea?

As a French national, I need to obtain a short-stay visa that can be converted to a long-stay one. To do this, I have to send the required documents to the Madagascar embassy in Paris.
No issues with that procedure so far.
If I get this visa, once I arrive in Madagascar, I’ll need to provide the same documents to the Ministry of the Interior in Anosy. I’m trying to find an email address or website for the Ministry to check which documents I need to submit (I think they ask for additional ones).

I’d like to know if anyone has already applied for a private visa to Russia with an invitation from a Russian resident.
I traveled earlier this year with an e-visa, but since I want to stay longer, I’ll be visiting my friend who lives in eastern Russia.
For the visa application, does the invitation need to be on an official paper form issued by the Russian ministry? And most importantly, do I need to present the original for the application, or is there an electronic version that can be sent directly to the consulate in France?

I filled out the B2 form to apply for a visa, created an account on Atvis to pay the visa fees and schedule a meet-up, but every time I try to pay with my Boursobank Visa 1st card, they refuse the payment with a message telling me to check my details (address), even though everything is correct. Does anyone know why this is happening, or maybe they don’t accept Visa cards? Are you aware of this?

I’ve read that China may ask for proof of exit within 30 days (flight ticket or other reservation). Since we’d be leaving by land, I’m wondering how this works in practice.

On her ticket, it only has her maiden name (e.g., Martine DUPOND).
On her passport, it’s written as Martine DUPOND épouse AVRY.
No issues for travel, I hope I did the right thing with the ticket?
Then for the ESTA, is just Martine DUPOND enough, or do I need to include the "épouse AVRY" part like on the passport?
