Climate and Weather
The local climate is strongly influenced by the sea, offering mild temperatures year-round and plenty of sunshine, even in winter when the sun shines for an average of five or six hours a day. In short, it never gets cold in winter (average of 15°C), though the weather can be a bit windy and rainy, as is often the case at the end of the year. In summer, sea breezes help moderate the heat, especially in July and August, the hottest months, when temperatures can exceed 30°C.
Sea Temperature Throughout the Year
The sea starts to become pleasant from April-May and remains so until nearly the second half of autumn. In winter, while the Mediterranean is far from freezing, the rather cool winds from the north lower both air and water temperatures.
