j'ai l'intention d'aller travailler au Rwanda pour au moins une année à partir de septembre prochain(2007). J'aimerais avoir le plus d'informations possible sur la culture, les Rwandais et le pays en général. S'il y a des gens qui y ont voyagé et qui ont envie de partager leur expérience ou qui ont des conseils à donner, n'hésitez surtout pas!

Ton projet est-il toujours d'actualité ? Si oui, est-ce que tu pars avec une agence de coopération canadienne pour enseigner dans une école ? (j'ai lu sur ton profil que tu es enseignante). Où dois-tu vivre ? En ville, en brousse ? Ces précisions sont importantes pour pouvoir te donner quelques "conseils" comment vivre au Rwanda pour quelques mois. J'ai vécu 5 ans en "brousse", à Kibuye, au bord du lac Kivu... mais cela n'a rien à voir avec Kigali, Butare, et même Gisenyi ou d'autres agglomérations.

Dans une de tes réponses, j ' ai lu que tu avais passé 5 ans au Rwanda.
Suite a cette expérience, je pense que tu connais pas mal de choses sur le pays .
Moi, j ' ai une association qui cherche à aider les enfants de ce pays mais le seul problème est que je n ' ai pas de contact sur place .
Ce serait sympas si tu pouvais m ' orienter vers des adresses d ' orphelinat qui sont dans le besoin étant donné que je préfère envoyer directement des colis ( vêtements, fournitures scolaires, alimentation et si possible médicaments ) que faire des dons à d ' autres associations qui se situent en france .

J'avoue être un peu étonnée: tu as une association dont le but est d'aider les enfants de ce pays (du Rwanda) et tu n'as aucun contact sur place ? Il y a une logique qui m'échappe ! Mais bon...
Personnellement, je n'ai aucun contact direct à te communiquer, mais pour les enfants, il est toujours possible de passer par une mission (Pères Blancs en Belgique, églises protestante ou catholique en général), un centre d'accueil (Ministère rwandais du bien-être familial), prendre contact avec l'UNICEF, l'ambassade du Rwanda à Paris, etc. Il faut chercher un peu. Ces institutions pourront te dire quels sont les besoins et t'indiquer à qui t'adresser sur place.

Je te remercie de m ' avoir répondu . Ca fait que trois mois que j ' ai créé mon association qui a pour but d ' aider des enfants ( d' Afrique, Haïti, la Dominique ) .
Le 25 mai nous organisons une soirée afro - antillaise et tout les fonds récoltés serviront à envoyer du matèriel scolaire et vêtements aux enfants du Rwanda ( j ' ai trouvé un contact c ' est une église à Kigali ) les prochains fonds récoltés seront pour les enfants du Sénégal .
En fait les deux seuls contact qui me manquait été ceux du Rwanda et de Haïti .

salut je suis béninoise je vis a kigali depuis deux mois. au débit j etai tres occupée parce que beaucoup de boulot et je devais m investir enormement pour suivre le ryhtme de travail, la ca va parfaitement mais apres le boulot je m ennui...j ai vecu en belgique plusieurs années en allemagne et en france ùai c'etai totalement different! la je sai plus koi faire de mon tps libre! j aimerai bien avoir des infos sur la ville et tout et des contact pour rencontrer de nouvelles personnes pourquoi pas!

Je comprends que l'organisation de loisirs intéressants ne doit pas être très facile à Kigali ! Personnellement, cela fait trop longtemps que j'ai quitté ce pays pour y avoir encore des contacts qui pourraient t'être utiles.
Nous vivions à Kibuye... et Kigali était bien loin, nous n'y allions que tous les deux-trois mois et en général seulement pour un ou deux jours.
Une idée: fréquenter l'Alliance française (s'il y en a toujours une). A l'époque, ils avaient une bibliothèque, un petit centre culturel avec de temps en temps un film, ils organisaient des soirées de projection de diapositives (maintenant cela doit être avec des DVD!!). Il y avait pas mal de monde qui s'y retrouvait, et pas seulement des expatriés, mais pas mal de Rwandais aussi qui prenaient des cours. Cela pourrait te permettre de créer des contacts. Et la Belgique ? N'a-t-elle rien sur place pour les loisirs ? Des installations de sport ?
J'espère sincèrement que tu trouveras quelque chose qui te convienne et que ton temps dans ce beau pays sera enrichissant, tant du point de vue boulot que privé.

Malheureusement, et c'est a mon grand regret, il n'y a plus de representation du Rwanda en France et inversement depuis la rupture des relations diplomatiques il y a un peu plus d'un an.
Donc pas d'Ambassade du Rwanda (interets representes par l'Ambassade du Burundi a Paris) ni d'Alliance Francaise a Kigali. Nos interets sont representes par la Belgique mais ils ne doivent pas avoir recupere nos DVD 😛
Par contre c'est bien possible que les Belges aient des activites culturelles, peut etre que leur site web en dit plus?

Désolée, cela fait beaucoup trop longtemps que j'ai quitté le Rwanda et je n'ai plus de contacts sur place.
De plus, nous vivions à Kibuye, dans des maisons mises à disposition soit par le gouvernement rwandais soit par la coopération suisse. Nous n'avons donc jamais dû nous occuper nous-mêmes de notre logement.
En cherchant un peu sur Internet, il doit être possible de trouver un agence immobilière à Kigali. Autre idée: téléphoner à la réception de l'hôtel "Mille collines", les concièrges d'hôtels connaissent en général parfaitement leur ville et peuvent aider à trouver une adresse. Ne pas oublier d'aller le remercier et de lui dire si son "tuyau" était bon !

After living for many years in the West (Belgium, Italy, Switzerland),
I’ve decided to return and settle in Cameroon, my home country.
Currently an entrepreneur in real estate and transport, I’m looking for a partner / partners / foundation to collaborate on an agriculture project, as I own 10 hectares of land.
The hectares have remained unused for years due to a lack of financial means, since the project requires what I’d call a considerable investment. As the main stakeholder, I have a minimal contribution to offer.
I believe it’s time to bring this space to life to meet pressing needs and serve the common good of society.
The project is simple:
1) Grow maize + build a processing plant to produce flour
2) Open a mini supermarket + a modern bakery using the flour for pastries, etc.
3) Build a healthcare service
4) Build a nursery and primary school
5) Construct free housing for retired expatriates in exchange for their voluntary contributions in their respective fields.

We mainly speak French, with a basic level of Spanish and English, and we’re ready to improve these two languages if needed.
