Hi, does anyone know the current condition of the track/road P1800 that goes from R111 just past Allougoum to Akka Ighane on P1743? Google Maps says it's doable, but all the info I’ve gotten advises against it. From Akka Ighane, at the junction with the road to Auguinane, it was even paved for the 10 km I covered two years ago. But in Morocco, paved roads can suddenly end without warning 😏.

Hi,

Traveled on 9/20 after the heavy rains from Allougoum to Akka Ighane. The situation at the time was as follows: Up to a few km past N’Soula: paved road N’Soula - Turnoff for Aguinane: a few km paved, then a track in good condition except for some wadi crossings where we had to go off-road to bypass the concrete fords whose access ramps had been washed away. Turnoff for Aguinane - Akka Ighane: paved road Akka Ighane - Tissemoumine: impassable.

What would we do without you all 🏴‍☠️ There’s a Tissemoumine near Omjirane, not toward Akka Ighane. Hopefully the fords are repaired ASAP so there aren’t any more water pockets nearby. I heard even the bridge at the entrance to Foum Zguid was washed away.

I forgot the most important thing. It's worth it considering that the paved road in Tissint can work just fine

Spelling mistake: Tissekmoudine We took this road because the main highway was closed at the exit of Foum Z'Guid. In my opinion, not much of interest—there are more sights to see or revisit by taking the main highway (kasbah El Joua, Tissint waterfalls, etc.).

Since you last went after the heavy September rains, have you heard any updates about Ait Hani/Assoul/Amellagou/Goulimina? Thanks

A local from Akka opened his home to the "stranded" travelers: 8 Swiss motorcyclists, a police crew, and the five of us. We spent the night there. The next morning, through the police, we learned that a backhoe had cleared passages from Taliouine to Bou Soumoun. It was the only open route. We formed a convoy and headed toward Taliouine. We had to blaze a trail to cross the wadi north of Akka and build an embankment with the locals from Bou Soummoum to cross it again. The rest of the trip was almost a piece of cake after we changed our plans. No info for Ait Hani/Assoul/Amellagou/Goulimina

Going after the rains in your case means after the last drop has fallen 🏴‍☠️
