Hi, I’m planning a road trip in the Middle Atlas, starting and ending in Fez and heading down to the south of Midelt, the Assoul Massif.... We’ll be traveling with two small 4x4s. I’m looking for detailed maps of this region that include small roads and tracks. Last year, we had a fantastic road trip in the Anti-Atlas and High Atlas using Erfahren maps, but unfortunately, they don’t cover the area we’re interested in this year. Thanks for your suggestions! Hi! If you frequently return to Morocco, the Vieux Campeur stores sell Garmin GPS maps at a 1:25,000 scale.

Thanks for the info, but I’d like to find some paper maps

Hey, could we make up our minds... in another thread, no one wants paper maps, but here, yes 😉 Maybe check out the Perry-Castañeda Library site at the University of Texas—there are still some good maps here. They’re a bit dated, but it might be better than nothing. Otherwise, you can find them on the spot. I know where to get them in Marrakech, but I’m not sure about elsewhere. Try to see if there’s a Moroccan cartographic institute in Rabat—you might be able to order maps there.
