Mosquitoes and Spiders in the Red Centre

Hi,
I'm planning a trip to this region in November. My initial plan was Adelaide-Darwin by van, but I'm worried about those critters. I'm now considering staying in hotels instead, but for the Red Centre, camping is more practical... if we overlook those pests.
What do you think? Thanks.
Hi Patrick,
Of course, exploring this area in a van must be an amazing adventure—it’s actually my only regret about Australia, not having done it...
I spent 3 nights at Ayers Rock in December '24, and more than the mosquitoes and other critters, it was the heat that really got to us, with daytime temps hitting 45°C.
We’d bought mosquito nets beforehand (very stylish, by the way!), but they didn’t end up being much use.

Hello Patrick,
Same as Bruno, we bought fly nets last September when we arrived in the Red Centre and used them occasionally just to keep the flies away.
We saw a very calm dingo in our Kings Canyon campsite, but no spiders or other critters despite the warnings posted near the restrooms.
