Je suis étudiante en master de lettres modernes et je prépare également le capes en métropole.
Cependant mon souhait le plus cher serait de retourner en Calédonie pour y enseigner le français. Je suis tombée amoureuse de cette île en 2006, avec la ferme intention d'y retourner au plus vite.
Pour cela, il me faudrait passer le concours sur place et par la même occasion, trouver un job pour subvenir à mes besoins car la Calédonie est chère... très chère.
Pensez-vous que je puisse enseigner avec mon master en attendant de passer le concours?
Est-ce que les p'tits boulots d'étudiants sont toujours faciles à trouver?
J'ai de l'expérience dans l'hôtellerie, le commmerce, le secrétariat.
J'envisage de revenir m'installer en septembre 2008 (histoire d'avoir quelques sous de côté!)
D'ici là, peut-être, de futurs colocs que je rencontrerai sur la toile, qui ont comme moi, l'envie de vivre leur rêve...

J'ai 23 ans, je veux être enseignante et vivre en Calédonie.
après l'IUFM tu n'es pas obligée de rendre des années au Public, il me semble...
Donc, si j'ai raison, post IUFM tu files dans le privé ( ce n'est pas ce qui manque ) quitte à essayer sur place à mettre un pied dans la FP sur place.
Autre soluce : tu passes le concours en métropole, vas en vacances à Nouméa et tente celui de Nouville 😉 ( si c'est possible )
En dernier lieu, enseigner avec le master dans le privé dans un 1er temps sans considération de salaire puis de nouveau tenter l'IUFM de Nouville.
votre discussion concernant le fait d'être prof en NC m'intéresse car je suis moi même enseignante titulaire en France et souhaiterais demander ma mut pour la Nouvelle Calédonie. On m'a dit au ministère que la seule chance était de faire un rapprochement de conjoints ... ce qui signifie donc que mon mari devrait partir avant, et en calculant, au moins 10 mois avant ... !! Ton idée, Toukoul, de passer le concours sur place, me parait trés bonne, mais je pense qu'il doit falloir quand même être résident calédonien non ?, et le simple fait de partir en vacances là bas au moment des épreuves ne doit pas suffire .... je vais me renseigner à ce sujet.
En, ce qui nous concerne, mon mari souhaite s'installer en tant que dessinateur industriel en études mécaniques à son compte en Nouvelle Calédonie. On voulait commencer le projet d'installation à distance en envoyant les papiers nécessaires au RIDET mais ils nous ont dit qu'il fallait impérativement être sur place pour ce projet .... Pourtant c'était le seul moyen de fournir une attestation comme quoi on avait entamé des démarches pour partir, attestation qui m'aurait servi pour obtenir ma mutation dans le cadre d'un rapprochement de conjoints ... du coup notre projet tombe à l'eau et je cherche un autre moyen de partir... Si quelqu'un est dans mon cas ou a une idée, je suis preneuse !! merci merci

Je connais bien l'enseignement en NC plus particulièrement le privé puisque j'y suis travaille. Dans le public, ce sont obligatoirement des contrats à durée déterminée qui ne depassent pas 2x2 ans a moins d'être titularisé sur place : mais la liste est longue; Dans le privée, ce sont des CDI ; certes il y a tjs des postes mais tres tres rarement a Nouméa ou sur le grand nouméa pour la simple et bonne raison que les profs qui enseignent en brousse visent souvent des postes à moyen terme sur Nouméa : la liste est longue aussi !! solution ; venir faire un job ;; faire des remplacements dans certains collèges et peu à peu s'y inscrire dans la durée. Je tiens saussi à souligner ( puisque je suis animateur pédagogique) qu'il ne suffit pas de venir enseigner parce qu'on a un master ; c'est un comble en France qu'aucune exigence pédagogique ne soit necesaire pour enseigner : ca me révolte toujours un peu : Dans l'école catholique ( radicalement différent des ecoles privées de la métropole car ici les écoles catholiques sont davantage implantés en milieu océanien et en brousse souvent près des tribus ( anciennes missions) l'exigence de l'adaptabilité à la réalité locale est primordiale : les modes de pensées et les fonctionnements des enfants sont à appréhender avec justesse : en connaissant bien le pays et la population on a arrivera mieux a enseigner : c'est déja un pas ..ensuite enseigner suppose d'y inclure de la pédagogie et une démarche éducative : il y a un service pour cela. Dans le public, je connais moins. Mes remarques ne veulent pas dire que tu n'as pas les qualités pédagogiques ou éducatives mais je constate quand même souvent que les " débarquants" vont un peu vite en croyaznt "tout savoir" ..mais puisque tu es sur un site Voyageur, je suppose ( partons toujours sur une image bienveillante !) que tes intentions sont d'abord la rencontre, la découverte; la Caledonie m'a séduit, comme toi, moi depuis 77 et je n'ai jamais été déçu ; il y a preque comme un lien affectif fort qui du coup forge un regard d'humilité sur ce que l'on ne connait pas et c'est cela qui va permettre une insertion réussie. Sympa ca d'utiliser le privée comme une passerelle ; cela ne sera pas si facile que ça car dans le privée, on reçoit plus 100 demandes sur internet par semaine de métropole !!!! et la priorité va d'abord à l'emploi local !

Je débarque en effet dans votre île magnifique en Septembre 2008 pour y rejoindre mon conjoint et je suis titulaire d' un MasterII en Anglais...mais j ai aussi une expérience pédagogique assez conséquente et très diversifiée maintenant, et j'avoue que l'idée que cela puisse être reconnu en Nouvelle Calédonie me donne de l'espoir.
J'espère y trouver des postes de remplaçante...crois tu que je pourrais m'en sortir facilement avec mon diplôme et mes expériences?

Ton message m'interpelé car il a répondu a certaine questions que je me posais mais aux quelles je n'arrivais à trouver de rèponses.j' aimerai venir enseigner en nouvelle calédonie, du moins venir travailler pour les enfants et leur enseigner tout ce que je peux.Mais je m' aperçois en visitant ce site, que beaucoup ont le meme reve que moi.Mon gros handicap est que je ne suis pas diplomée pour l'enseignement( autant dire chance zéro je le sais) je n'ai que mon expérience à mettre en avant.
Je suis depuis 4 ans instit en maternelle à Djibouti ( afrique de l'est) dans une école privée et cela a été une révélation.
Mes enfants sont exclusivement Djiboutiens et j'ai découvert la richesse d'un partage sans commune mesure.Moi je leur enseigne ce que je sais et eux me font partager leur vie, leur langue, leur culture....leur richesse.
Aprés 4 ans dans ce pays, j'ai maintenant très très envie de découvrir d'autres lieux, d'autres gens.Et la Nouvelle Calédonie
est vraiment en tête des endroits que je désire connaitre.
A l'inverse de beaucoup de messages que j'ai lu, enseigner à Nouméa ne m'attire pas du tout, j'aimerai trouver une école en brousse....Ai-je une chance de réaliser ce rêve malgrès mon absence de diplome d'enseignement?A-tu des conseils à me donner?
Je sais que je suis compètente dans ce que je fais, parce que j'aime ça mais j'avoue avoir très peur que mon expèrience ne compte en rien et que cette absence de diplome d'instit bloque toutes mes perspectives d'avenir.

Juste quelques mots pour te dire que j'apprècie énormément ta façon de voire les choses, et te souhaiter bonne chance dans tes démarches. De par leur culture très forte (bien que différentes), la brousse calédonienne et l'Afrique noire se ressemblent beaucoup. Ce sont des gens simples, accueillants, et sans une once de méchanceté.

Je suis actuellement enseignante à la Reunion.Les profs du public semblent pouvoir muter en suivant la procédure habituelle mais impossible de savoir comment faire pour le privé.Ou sont publié les postes vacants? Faut il habiter sur place pour obtenir un poste? est ce que l'on perd notre contrat et le bénéfice du concours en travaillant en NC? Il semble impossible d'obtenir une mutataion à distance.Bref pourriez vous m'aider à savoir quelles sont les démarches à suivre dans le privé?

Dans le privé nous sommes soumis à la Loi relative à la protection de l'emploi locale qui est tres stricte. Nous sommes 260 000 habitants sur une tres grande île et 50% ont moins de 18 ans.... nous avons l'université de Nouvelle Calédonie... et il est aisé de comprendre que les emplois , dans un pays qui doit s'autodéterminer quant à son indépendance ou non en 2014, doit penser d'abord aux enfants du pays. Ceci dit , à compétence équivalent et si l'école catholique ne trouve pas sur place , il est publié un appel d'offre externe dans le seul journal " Les nouvelles calédoniennes" visible sur le site nouvelles caledonbiennes. Il est inutile d'envoyer une demande de candicadure libre à la direction de l'école ctahonique en NC qui reçoit des centaines de candidatures par mois !

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
