Je viens de voir un reportage sur Auroraville, en Inde près de Pondichéry. Je voudrais si possible avoir des renseignements (comment intégrer la communauté, les formalités...)et si certains de vous ont déjà été des "Auroravilliers" et votre expérience là-bas. Est-il possible de l'intégrer avec des enfants ? Merci de vos réponses.

Je te conseille de taper, comme moi, sur ton moteur de recherche "Auroville" et tu trouveras nombre de renseignements sur le sujet.
Pour ma part, je pars trois mois en Inde début avril et je passerai y jeter un oeil "en touriste" histoire de me faire un avis.

Non, ils n'aiment pas trop les touristes... Il faut dire qu'il y a environ 2000 aurovilliens, et parfois plus de 3000 visiteurs par jour... Et beaucoup se croient dans un zoo, alors ca ennerve un peu. Une aurovillienne m'a dit "si je m'arrete a chaque fois que quelqu'un est perdu, c'est 15 a 20 fois par jour. Et quand ils voient que tu es aurovillien, ils te lachent plus".
Mais je bossais toute la semaine et vivais pas vraiment dans Auroville, donc je me suis integre au ralenti.
Mon opinion personnelle : faut mettre de cote tout le cote mystique, et surtout ne pas y aller en croyant y trouver LA reponse a tes problemes, si tu es un peu perdu (ne pas le prendre pejorativement, on est tous plus ou moins perdus par moments). Faut avoir un projet, au minimum un projet de vie. Ils ne veulent pas de paumes qui debarquent sans le sous et viennent squater. Ils ont en eu un certain nombre, ce qui explique que maintenant c'est moins ouvert. Par exemple ils ont du payer eux-meme le billet d'avion pour rappatrier des mecs, c'est - entre autre - pourquoi on te demande de venir avec des sous. Donc il y a un certains nombres de choses qui peuvent paraitre louches / sectaires si on survole le truc, mais qui sont fondees si on gratte un peu. Donc, ne pas venir avec son idee pre-concu "ah nia nia c'est une secte" et ne pas s'emporter dans le jugement. Enfin bon, c'est une regle qui vaut pour tout en general, c'est peut etre le principal enseignement que j'ai tire de mon experience en Inde / Auroville.
Pour devenir membre il faut montrer patte blanche, ce qui fait grincer des dents (en particulier, il faut avoir un petit pecule et ne pas etre seropositif). Faut passer devant une commision expliquer tes motivations, et puis tu es prise "a l'essai" pendant au moins 1 an en tant que new comer.
Ils ont de gros problemes de logements, certains attendent depuis 3 ans une maison... Y'a pas de miracles, ils ont eu beaucoup de problemes, et continuent a en avoir, mais l'air de rien, des choses sont faites, et ca avance...
Le plus simple est d'y aller un ou deux mois, en logeant sur place dans une guest house (a partir de 100 Rs/j + la taxe de 50 Rs par jour). Rien de special a faire pour y loger. Tu pourras passer tes journees a decouvrir les diverses communautes et leurs projets...
En j'etais dans le premier village que tu traverses en allant vers Auroville (Kuilapalayam). C'est a mi-chemin entre le debut de la main road et le debut de la piste en terre (Certitude). C'est en bordure d'Auroville, un peu a l'ecart, mais c'est bien Auroville. On y trouve New Creation entre autre, et Fraternite (la ou j'etais).
Je vivais en Guest House. Pour un jeune pas de probleme, mais ce n'est pas adapte a une famille. J'avoue ne pas trop trop savoir. A vu de nez, je dirai que les familles vont plutot sur Pondichery, au moins au debut. Il y a pas mal de francais la bas, y compris des jeunes scolarise au lycee. Beaucoup se logent aussi dans les environs, sur la main road en particulier. Tu peux avoir une maison pour 50 euros par mois... A ce tarif les gens qui ne viennent que quelques mois dans l'annee conserve quand meme la maison toute l'annee...
A Auroville il y a des ecoles primaires, mais je sais pas grand chose a leur sujet. Des volontaires viennent y enseigner l'anglais. On y parle plutot Tamoul... Les jeunes Aurovilliens avec qui j'en ai parle ont fait leur scolarite dans le coin avec des Tamouls, et parlent souvent tres bien cette langue (ansi que l'anglais, et souvent le francais, et l'espagnol, et l'italien...🤪).
On trouve aussi des enfants non scolarises parce que leurs parents rejettent l'ecole... Hehe, y'a de tout.
Enfin bon vaut mieux ne pas trop se fier a ce que je dis et d'aller sur place en "reconnaissance" se renseigner et se faire une idee.

J'ai une tres bonne amie qui est née et habite a auroville. En fait on s'est connues en france où elle est revenue vers l'age de 15 ans pour réintégrer un parcours scolaire (a auroville c'est un systeme d'education expérimental, a chacun son avis la-dessus, tjrs est-il qu'a cette epoque le resultat etait plutot aleatoire) et on a passé qqs années ensemble a la fac. Elle est depuis retournée la-bas où elle est instit ; le systeme educatif a le merite d'etre vraiment original, a savoir bcp tourné sur les matieres artistiques, de developpement personnel, de choix personnels, ... Je n'y ai pas encore été mais compte bien aller lui rendre visite, pour me rendre compte par moi-meme, j'ai d'un coté son point de vue avec tout ce qu'elle m'a raconté, et de l'autre celui de personnes qui y sont passées et qui sont souvent plus partagées... A chacun de se faire sa propre opinion...

Est-ce que Auroville n'est pas trop occidentale ? Faut voir ce que tu entends par occidentale. L'Aurovillien blanc "typique" n'est pas vraiment un occidental typique, mais plutôt un marginal. Partant de là...
Sont-ils bien à cheval sur leur principe ? Bien sûr que non. Déjà, au niveau individuel, chaque être humain qui se donne des principes a bien du mal à les suivre. Et ensuite, chaque Aurovillien vit son aventure comme il l'entend. Il y a bien une charte de base, et bien évidemment tout le monde ne s'y conforme pas strictement. Comme partout, il y a ceux qui trichent, ceux qui sont convaincu de bien faire mais qui sont à côté de la plaque, ceux qui s'en fiche, ... et aussi ceux qui restent dignes et intègres au milieu de tout ça. Un Aurovillien m'avait dit : "bien sûr qu'il y a des Aurovilliens qui ne jouent pas le jeu, est-ce que c'est pour ça que moi je dois arrêter ?".
Donc voilà : pose toi la question de ce que tu vas rechercher à Auroville : des raisons d'être déçus et de mépriser ce projet ? Tu les trouveras ! Des raisons de trouver l'aventure intéressante et de d'en inspirer ? Tu les trouveras ! ...on trouve ce qu'on cherche !
Début Février j'y retourne aussi pour 3 semaines. Je vais tâcher de faire un petit documentaire vidéo sur ce lieu particulier. Si vous avez des envies d'éclaircissement / des questions à poser aux Aurovilliens, je suis preneur !

After living for many years in the West (Belgium, Italy, Switzerland),
I’ve decided to return and settle in Cameroon, my home country.
Currently an entrepreneur in real estate and transport, I’m looking for a partner / partners / foundation to collaborate on an agriculture project, as I own 10 hectares of land.
