Seulement, le paiement en ligne ne marche pas.
Après avoir échangé quelques mails avec un contact trouvé sur le site, on me propose de payer par western union, communiquer le numéro de transaction pour ensuite recevoir un recu et des numéros de billet.
Seulement, il est coutume que western union soit utilisé par des personnes mal intentionnées...
Quelqu'un a t-il déjà eu à faire avec ce site? en paiement en ligne ou western union?
Le site existe depuis deux ans, donc a priori ce ne devrait pas être un scam.
Cependant, il faut absolument éviter un payement Western Union à des gens qu' on ne connaît pas vraiment.
Mais ils ont bien un compte bancaire, non? Un virement vers un compte bancaire au nom de leur société serait déjà plus sûr.
c'est effectivement ce que je leur ai proposé (virement bancaire) mais d'après eux c'est trop lent et trop cher. effectivement, c'est environ 5 jours et une vingtaine d'euros selon la banque.
Western Union c'est 15 euros et le délai est beaucoup plus court.
je n'ai pas le sentiment de me faire arnaquer, car j'ai déjà échangé une dizaine de mails avec mon correspondant chez eux.
de plus il s'agit de billets pour un montant de 10000peso (soit 180euros), je doute qu'ils éssaient d'arnaquer les touristes pour un montant comme celui la.
le site semble solide, il y a une possibilité de payer en ligne, mais ca ne fonctionne pas avec ma carte tout simplement parce que je ne peux pas taper les chiffres dans les cases! apparement c'est un pb de codage de la page.
pensez vous que je peux prendre le risque de payer par western union?

J'envoie des fonds de Belgique vers mon compte aux Philippines en 72 heures maximum. Je trouve tout de même étrange qu' ils essayent d'éviter le virement bancaire.

Western Union, c'est un risque important. Une fois le payement effectué - au nom d' une personne et pas d' une société- et c'est ça qui représente un risque, parce que tu ne sais jamais si cette personne est bien celle qu'elle prétend être-, tu n'as plus aucun contrôle.
Mais comme je disais plus haut, un site de scammers ne reste pas en ligne deux ans.

pour l'instant je n'ai trouvé que très peu de choses en tapant www.ewdm.net dans google, une personne qui se plaint que le site n'a pas booké son hotel, et 2 autres qui disent que tout s'est biern passé.
un autre facteur me stresse : SEAIR semble avoir suspendu ses vols jusqu'au 16 novembre.
je crois comprendre que le site passe soit pas SEAIR soit pas ITI, mais j'espere qu'ils sont bien réglo la dessus.
autre point, j'arrive finalement à remplir les champs pour payer en ligne en faisant copier coller depuis mon bloc note.
est-ce plus sur de tenter de payer en ligne?
je devrais avoir un recu une fois la transac effectuée, qui me permettrai de récupérer mon argent en cas d'arnaque non?

Si j'ai bien lu les horaires annoncés, il semble que le vol ITI est un share-code avec SEAIR (DG-461), du moins à partir de Puerto Princessa.
Je ne vois pas comment ils pourraient ne pas être réglos là-dessus car à ma connaissance du moins, il n' y a pas d'autre option!
Pourquoi ne pas contacter une grande agence de voyage de Manille? Ils vous bookeront ça sans problème et vous n'aurez pas de problème à payer par carte, normalement.
Il est possible que SEAIR ne reprenne qu'en début de saison touristique, je ne suis pas informé à ce sujet.
Le payement en ligne, s' il se fait sur un site sécurisé ( https://), est sûr car les émetteurs de carte de crédit( Visa, Mastercard) vous créditeront dès que vous porterez plainte, en cas de besoin.
Sinon, on peut tout arranger sur place....aux Philippines c'est ainsi que ça se passe! Ne stressez donc pas inutilement, vous ne resterez pas en rade.....
Je n'ai trouvé cette adresse qu'aujourd'hui, et je vais leur envoyer un message dès maintenant.
Concernant la possibilité de contacter une agence de voyage, j'ai déjà contacté des agences "spécialisées" philippines à paris, qui m'ont systématiquement proposé des vols+hotel et non des vols secs pour Manille-El nido à plus de 500us$, ce qui concretement ne rentre pas dans mon budget.

Non, une agence ne pourra pas booker votre billet plus de 24 heures sans être payée, ce qui est normal!
Le mieux sera de contacter SEAIR directement, sinon je viens de contacter BARON TRAVEL, une agence qui se trouve dans l' hotel RENAISSANCE à Makati ( MARRIOTT GROUP). Je les connais un peu, c'est eux que j' utilise en cas de besoin. C'est vrai que je suis habitué à booker mes voyages en avance, donc l'idée de partir sans mes billets pour palawan ne me réjoui pas... je ne veux surtout pas louper cette destination qui a l'air magnifique.

Flyseair m'a répondu par la négative en me disant que les vols étaient suspendus depuis le 11 juillet jusqu'à nouvel ordre... d'après eux, impossible de voler aux dates que je souhaite.
Baron travel agence m'a également répondu, ils me proposent des vols par ITI aux dates demandées, mais le problème est le prix : 370us$ Aller/retour par personne! (de plus ils me mettent en garde sur le fait que les avions sont d'abord réservés aux clients des El Nido Resort Lagen and Miniloc Island, et que je n'aurai la confirmation que 5 jours avant le vol)
A coté de cela, ewdm.net me proposait 10998peso pour les deux personnes Aller/retour! soit 115us$ par personne!
Mais ils ne me parlent pas du tout du fait que je risque de ne pas avoir le vol, ni de la compagnie, ni de clients prioritaires etc... Je leur ai demandé la franchise bagage, ils m'ont dit 25kg alors que partout ailleurs je vois 15kg...
Je ne sais plus que faire : risquer la réservation par ewdm payer le triple du prix que j'avais en tête (et qui rentrait dans mon budget)
Nous avons exactement le meme problème pour les résas du vol intérieur Manille - El Nido qu'on voudrait faire dés notre arrivée sur Manille. J'ai envoyé un mail à une agence sur Manille "Filipino Travel Center " qui me propose des vols avec SEAIR. Je leur ai répondu "comment pouvez-vous me proposer des vols par SEAIR alors qu'ils sont interrompu leurs vols".

salut tatatou, je vois qu'on a les mêmes problèmes de résa et de préparations 😉 C'est marrant car moi aussi j'ai envoyé un mail à Philippino travel (que j'ai trouvé sur le petit malin, pour une fois qu'il me sert à quelque chose). En ce qui concerne les vols de SEAIR, je pense que peut-être que les vols sont interrompus "hors saison" en ce moment, à cause du mauvais temps, comme je l'ai lu sur plusieurs sites mais après les vols reprennent et que c'est pour ça que les agences le proposent.
Alors pour seair, je les ai contacté pour des résa vols en janvier et la compagnie n'assure plus la liaison j'ai lu un post qu'elle était reprise mais je n'en sais pas plus cf voir sur le forum.

J'insiste sur le fait que c'est la compagnie des hotels LAGEN et MINILOC, et que par conséquent il ne proposent leurs sièges aux passagers non-clients de ces hotels que 5 jours avant le vol.
Je viens d'échanger par mail avec eux, et leur prix est de 16464php par personne pour un aller retour manila el nido!
Cela me semble cher et surtout très loin des 6000php proposés par ewdm...

Je pense que ewdm est définitivement une arnaque! ou alors ils se débrouillent très bien en négociation avec ITI...

vous avez raison de vouloir aller à el nido j'en reviens et c'est vraiment top.
finalement je n'ai pas opté pour la solution offerte par www.ewdm.net car beaucoup de choses me semblaient suspectes: payer à un particulier (le fameux josel yorac) un prix défiant toute concurrence (3 fois inférieur au prix de la compagnie ITI) une compagnie proposée qui n'assure plus le vol
du coup, j'ai volé sur ITI.
la difficulté pour cette compagnie c'est qu'il s'agit d'avions de 14 places qui est utilisée par les "el nido resorts" de miniloc et lagen.
de ce fait il est impossible de réserver ses places plus de 5 jours avant la date de voyage souhaitée, et la réservation des clients de l'hotel est prioritaire.
je vous conseille de vous renseigner sur les "el nido resorts" car il s'agit à mon sens d'une excellente alternative:
j'ai voyagé avec une amie, et nous avons passé 2 nuits au resort de miniloc, puis 2 nuits à el nido (en trouvant l'hotel le jour meme) mais en profitant qd meme des vols ITI avec réservation prioritaire + de 5 jours à l'avance car nous étions clients de l'hotel.
d'une part le resort de miniloc est monstrueusement paradisiaque, le personnel est tout simplement irréprochable : gentils, souriants, chaleureux, ils vous laissent respirer mais vous proposent quand meme des activités, etc etc...
nous avons pris un package activités + pension complète, nous permettant de faire une initiation à la plongée, les visites des lagons (big et small), une croisière soleil couchant, du kayak à volonté, un équipement de snorkeling au top, et surtout un buffet à volonté matin midi et soir d'une qualité irréprochable.
nous avons payé pour les deux nuits à l'hotel + le vol aller retour par ITI exactement 22500 pesos chacun, sachant que le vol coutait 19000 pesos TTC
globalement, le vol est très cher mais c'est le prix pour arriver direct à el nido, et nous avons profité d'une promo sur l'hotel (50euros pour 2 nuits en pension complète avec toutes les activités, ca vaut largement le coup vu le prix des activités que nous faites qui sont également proposées à el nido town)
n'hésitez pas si vous avez d'autres questions.

The tourism setup there is so well-organized that it’s the most "comfortable" country for a short visit. Thailand feels too sanitized for my taste, and there’s too much religion, Buddha, and the King, but it’s still the best option given how my health has been evolving. I’d considered two weeks in ThaTon for hiking, but I got too sick from the burn-offs during my trips to the mountains around Chiang Rai. So I’m not sure where to go this year. Definitely not the sea, touristy spots, or the mountains with burn-offs...

In 1996, we crossed Vietnam from Saigon to Hanoi by motorbike—Minsk bikes we bought in Saigon. I haven’t been back since, and it seems like a lot has changed.
- We’re heading to the south (well, the north and center) with the family in July-August (3 people).
- Is the road network more developed now? Back then, there was only National Route 1 from south to north. I’m thinking of renting a car this time (no motorbike with the family—though in ’96, they had a Jawa sidecar for sale, and we hesitated… maybe it’s for the best).
- Is Halong Bay really something to avoid because of overtourism? Even back then, it was pretty crowded. Is there a less touristy alternative?
- We’ll be traveling from Hanoi down to Danang (the only city we didn’t stop in back in ’96). Even though it’s a bit overhyped in a Chinese-tourist kind of way (from what I’ve read), we’re only going for the beach—pure relaxation for 7 days. The beaches are stunning, and I know the South China Sea is warm like coffee.
- Then, we’ll visit Hoi An, where I stopped in ’96. It was already popular with backpackers back then, but no glowing boats or all the touristy fuss!
- After that, Hue, where I have great memories—it’s a beautiful city.
- And also the nature around Ninh Binh, followed by 2-3 days in Hanoi.
That’s the plan. I’d love to hear any tips to avoid mass tourism, and if anyone’s done this before:

I’m struggling to wrap up the end of my itinerary, even though it’s pretty straightforward (long but simple).
Last year, we did Malaysia (KL and the mainland + around Kuching).
Day 1 – Arrive in Kota Kinabalu early, stroll around town and hit the must-sees.
Day 2 – Excursion to Tunku Abdul Rahman Park, snorkeling at 3 islands.
Day 3 – Hike around Mount Kinabalu without summiting (450 per person, no way).
Day 4 – Poring Hot Springs + evening flight to Sandakan.
Day 5-6-7 – Kinabatangan River (still looking for the right guide).
Day 8 – Sepilok for the orangutans, the Sun Bear Centre, and Rainforest Discovery Centre.
Day 9 – Selingan, turtle island.
Day 10 – Head to Semporna.
Day 11-12-13-14 – Sipadan, Mabul, Kapalai.
Day 15 – Bohey Dulang.
Day 16 to Day 25: I’M STUCK.
I looked into Danum Valley, but for 3 days/2 nights, they’re quoting 650 € per person—come on, that’s ridiculous.
I checked out a detour into Indonesia (still East Borneo), but I’m having trouble deciding what would be amazing.
I read about Sangalaki + Kakaban (2 islands, 1 base) / Mahakam Delta - Kutai (orangutans and river) / Sungai Boh (Dayak Kayan) – jungle & culture.
But honestly, I’m struggling to finalize this itinerary.
If we venture that way, we’d head back to KK from Balikpapan.
For a 4-month stay in Egypt, I had ENORMOUS problems. The regulations are very bureaucratic and extremely nitpicky there. For a 4-month stay in the Philippines, I was wondering if the procedures are just as complicated? I’m bringing my cell phone with an eSIM. Should I choose a plan from Canada for use in the Philippines, or should I get a plan only once I arrive? After 30 days, do I renew with the Canadian provider I chose before leaving, or do I switch to a local company? Do I need to register my phone with the authorities in the Philippines? (That was the case in Egypt.) For the 3rd and 4th months, will it be just as simple—renewing with a Canadian or local provider—or should I expect problems?

We like to decide things on the spot and go with the flow, without rushing everywhere. But I’m still a bit unsure: when heading down to the center (Hue), is it better to book the overnight trains in advance? We don’t want to take any flights while we’re there—just use the overnight train for the long trips. But I’m worried we won’t get seats if we buy the tickets on the spot, say, 2 days before. I’d love to get some feedback on our itinerary—it’s probably pretty basic! This is our second trip to Asia and our first to Indonesia. We have three kids aged 20, 18, and 12. We land in Jakarta at 4 PM, spend 3 nights/2 days there, then take the train to Yogyakarta for 3 nights/2 days, followed by the train to Surabaya for 2 nights/1 day, then the train to Bromo for 1 day/1 night, a private driver to Ijen for 2 nights/2 days, then on to Bali (Ubud) for 4 nights/3 days, followed by Gili Air for 3 nights/2 days, Senggigi (Lombok) for 2 nights, and finally 5 nights in Kuta. I’m considering cutting the 2 nights in Senggigi to just keep Kuta and extend it to 7 nights. In Lombok, I’m not sure how to get around since I’m not comfortable with scooters... Your thoughts on all of this, and any advice, are more than welcome—don’t hesitate!
For those wondering why cities like Jakarta and Surabaya: we don’t often get the chance to visit big Asian cities, so we wanted to include that discovery in our trip. The trains between Jakarta and Yogyakarta, Surabaya and Probolinggo are booked. The return flight from Lombok to Jakarta is also set. Accommodations are booked but flexible (same for the trains).

No app for this one—you just hop on bus #14 at the local terminal (pay cash on board). But where do I catch it, and where’s the stop??

From what I’ve heard, it’s the Sida Express company (great name, right? 😄).
Can’t book online, but apparently, you *have* to because there’s only one bus at 8 AM.

My girlfriend and I booked our tickets with Saudia Airlines for a trip to Thailand this summer, from July 5th to August 3rd. Given the geopolitical situation in the Middle East, we’re keeping a close eye on the news.

• Have you heard anything about possible mass cancellations or if the airline is still maintaining its routes to Asia?
• Are there any travelers who’ve recently returned who could tell us if air corridors have been changed (longer flight times)?

July 30: Makassar – sightseeing
July 31: Makassar – sightseeing + overnight bus to Rantepao
August 1–7: Tana Toraja with a guide
August 7: Tana Toraja to Tentena + visit Tentena
August 8: Early departure with a private driver to Ampana, then ferry to the Togian Islands
August 9–15: Togian Islands (2 different resorts)
August 15: Depart Togian Islands for Luwuk
August 16: Flight Luwuk to Makassar
August 17: Rammang Rammang
August 18: Stroll in Makassar, then return home

I also have a question about the connection between Tentena and the Togian Islands: Is it doable to leave early in the morning as planned and still be sure not to miss the ferry?

I’m currently working on a 30-day itinerary for May/June 2027.
10 days in eastern Java (Malang, Bromo, waterfalls, Meru Beriti Park, Banyuwangi, and Ijen), a short transit in Ubud for a few days, then Flores before heading back to Jakarta.
We’ll spend 15 days in Flores (the classic route: Moni, Bajawa, Riung, Ruteng, ending in Labuan Bajo).
I’d love some firsthand feedback on flights to Maumere or Ende from Bali Denpasar. I know there are no direct routes and that you have to connect through Labuan Bajo or Timor (I think), which isn’t an issue in itself.
But I’ve read here and there that flights to these destinations can be delayed—or worse, canceled—and that it’s better to fly in and out of Labuan Bajo, which isn’t exactly ideal...
