Etant seul, je me demandais ce qu'on pouvait faire à Mayotte mis à part les activités de la mer, si il y avait des clubs de sports, des endroits pour sortir, bref s'occuper et rencontrer du monde car je partirai tout seul.
Et pour le logement je me demandais si vous connaissiez un site qui repertorie les annonces de colocation pour mayotte?
je suis mutée à Mayotte pour la rentrée 2010, je suis enseignante et ayant un peu navigué sur différents sites j'ai pu me faire une idée des loyers. C'est pourquoi aujourd'hui je suis aussi à la recherche de personnes qui seraient intéressées par une collocation. Les résultats des affectations ne sont pas tombés mais je n'ai que 2 possibilités soit Coconi soit Mamoudzou.
Serais-tu intéressé? Sais-tu où tu vas bosser?...Pour info, j'ai 32 ans, je suis sociable et pour moment, j'ai établi un contact avec un enseignant de 25 ans qui serait aussi intéressé par uncette collocation.
De plus je voulais savoir si tu étais aussi intéressé pour partager un container...
Voilà. En tout cas, j'espère que même cette collocation n'aboutit pas , nous pourrons correspondre afin d'échanger quelques informations.
écoute pour l'instant rien n'est gravé dans le marbre, je suis en pleine reflexion, mais si ça se fait je te redirai pour la coloc' et le container, qui est une idée à laquelle je n'avais pas pensé.
Bien sûr qu'on peut aimer Mayotte sans aimer la mer, il suffit de se tourner vers l'intérieur des terres et les villages, aimer la rando (mais uniquement en saison sèche), et... avoir internet peut-être! Tout dépend de tes centres d'intérêt, mais l'être humain s'adapte à tout.
Pour les sorties le soir, on va dire que la semaine c'est mort, et que le WE, c'est à la taille de l'ile, on se retrouve tjs aux mms endroits, mais tu lieras très rapidement de nouvelles amitiés, et alors les soirées chez les uns et les autres, les anniversaires et pendaisons de crémaillère te feront vivre d'autres types de soirées.
Ca fait 2 ans que je suis ici, moi aussi je suis partie seule, et je ne me lasse pas de cette ile, viens la découvrir, il y a tant de richesses encore préservées!

merci pour les quelques infos d'ambiance de mayotte. Il me reste une petite question : J'ai vu que les chiens n'étaient que moyenement apréciés sur l'île. Mais je me demandais ce qu'il en était des chats?
Les chiens se font effectivement caillasser par la population; les chats, non, je ne crois pas mais ils se bastonnent entre eux, donc tout dépend si ton chat sort de chez toi ou pas, et comment sont les chats du quartier où tu vas vivre. Il y a pas mal de chats et chiens errants, ces derniers se regroupent en meutes la nuit dans les quartiers, c'est très sympa qd tu rentres à pied!

tu peux facilement trouver à te meubler sur place, et tu verras que la majorité de ton mobilier de métropole ne te sera plus très utile ici... En +, pense qu'avec la chaleur et l'humidité, si les meubles ne sont pas de bonne qualité, ils vont très vite s'abimer, sans parler du voyage... C'est un choix personnel.
sit tu as toujours besoin d'un logement pour ton arrivée sur l'ile, on a une chambre de libre dans notre coloc, a tsararano, pour depanner a petit prix! ;)

En étant réaliste, si les activités de la mer ne t'intéressent pas plus que ça et que tu ne trouve pas d'intérêt à te confronter à une autre culture et un autre mode de vie alors tu risques de ne pas te plaire à mayotte. Se plaire à Mayotte c'est aussi accepter de changer de vie car beaucoup de choses sont totalement différentes. Par club de sport je suppose que tu veux dires une salle avec des appareils de remise en forme (style fitness, muscu...), si c'est ça il y a peut etre une salle qui a ouverte récemment mais jusquà ces dernières années il n'y avait rien de tout ça. Il y a peu d'endroits pour sortir (bars, boites), tu en auras vite fait le tour et tu croiseras toujours les mêmes personnes !
voici selon moi une liste non exhaustive de choses à aimer pour se plaire à Mayotte :
- la mer (plage, plongée, pêche, bateau)
- un petit peu de randonnées (peu de possibilités compte tenu de la taille de l'île mais il y a bien une petite dizaine de marches sympa)
- la nature (flore tropicale et surtout la faune : baleines, tortues, dauphins, makis, chauves souris...)
- la chaleur (il fait très chaud à Mayotte, même si le thermomètre affiche 30°C on ressent parfois 10° de + à cause du fort taux d'humidité)
- découvrir une nouvelle culture, un autre mode de vie, un autre rythme (stressés, pressés, angoissés passez votre chemin...)
- c'est un + de pouvoir voyager aux alentours de Mayotte (d'autant qu'il y a de tres belles destinations non loin) de temps en temps histoire d'élargir son horizon
