Pour ceux qui y ont vécu, l'intégration a t'elle été facile pour des enfants francophones ? Comment sont les namibiens? quelles sont les modalités d'importation d'un véhicule? toute information utile est bienvenue. D'avance merci.
Je ne suis restée que 9 mois à Windhoek mais de ce que j'ai vu et compris, c'est que l'intégration, surtout avec des enfants se fait TRÈS bien. Il y a peu de français là bas donc tu seras "l'attraction" pendant un temps et tu rencontreras beaucoup de monde. Après à toi de "trier" 😎.
Avec les Namibiens c'est malheureusement bien plus dure. Ils sont assez farouches et ne se mélangent pas. Du moins c'est ce que j'ai ressenti à l'époque.
Pour le lycée français, je ne pense pas mais il y a des cours qui sont donnés au FNCC (franco-namibian cultural center). Gros lieu de rassemblement de la population française.

Merci pour votre réponse qui nous rassure bcq quant à l'intégration des enfants. Jusque là les témoignages sont assez positifs dans l'ensemble. Nous allons tenter de nous adapter. Le CCFN semble très actif.
Pour la voiture, je ne vois pas l'intérêt d'en importer une. Il y a un large choix sur place même d'ocaz et si vous souhaitez profiter du pays, rien ne vaut un bon "backki" avec un hardtop idéal pour les "gravel road". Au moins le volant sera du bon coté !🙂
Au pire en importer une d'Afrique du Sud.
Tapes Namibia+used cars sur Google et tu aura une idée de ce que l'on trouve avec les prix.
En ce qui concerne les "quartier sécurisé", chaque maison de valeur sur Windhoek est déja un "petit fort Knox", avec palissade béton, surmontées de clôture électrique et portail renforcé. A la mode Sud af ! Idem pour les entreprises en plus de leurs vigiles et molosses.
Mais de là a aller vivre dans un QHS (un ghetto pour blanc quoi!).
Ce pays est jeune et le métissage est son avenir. Vivre dans un quartier mixte et partager un bon "braii" avec ses voisins est le meilleur gage d'intégration.

After living for many years in the West (Belgium, Italy, Switzerland),
I’ve decided to return and settle in Cameroon, my home country.
Currently an entrepreneur in real estate and transport, I’m looking for a partner / partners / foundation to collaborate on an agriculture project, as I own 10 hectares of land.
