En effet, je souhaite passer deux semaines à Quebec dont 1 semaine dans la ville de Québec et donc connaitre le temps, si cela est possible. Fait-il actuellement sec ou humide là-bas, en gros y fait un temps de chien ou ça va plutôt bien? Bon je sais ça dépend pour qui? Allez-y Franco : s'il fait un temps de "merde", n'hésitez pas à me le dire, je n'ai pas encore pris mon billet et je détesterai le faire si c'est pour passer 2 semaines sous la pluie.....
Ensuite une deuxième question SVP : où faudrait -il se rendre au Canada (côte Ouest? ou peut-être Nouveau Brunswick?) toujours pendant cette même période (du 25 Août au 07 Septembre) si je veux avoir un temps sec? J'ai la possibilité en effet de pouvoir bouger la deuxième semaine donc si vous connaissez des coins sympas où le temps est favorable (sec et si possible ensoleillé:-) ) et où les paysages sont sympas, alors je suis preneuse.....
Je sais que ça fait bizarre de demander quel temps il fait comme ça, mais c'est parce que je souffre de problèmes de santé lorsqu'il fait humide (douleurs d'une hernie qui s'accentuent et qui deviennent insupportables lorsqu'il fait humide....).
Habituellement, l'été au Québec est chaud et humide mais tout dépend des régions. Québec est moins chaude que Montréal et je lis, via le carnet de route de Cendryon (ici dans la rubrique Amérique du Nord) qu'elle n'a pas eu du beau temps à l'est de Québec et dans les Maritimes donc le climat varie d'une région à l'autre. Fin août/début septembre, la température devrait être tempérée, avec moins d'humidité et presque plus de moustiques.
Ce n'est pas le même temps de vol entre Québec et les Maritimes (que tu peux faire facilement en voiture) et Vancouver. Ex: Montréal-Vancouver, min. 5 heures de vol.
Tu sais, personne ne peut te garantir une belle température lorsqu'on part en vacances, on ne peut que te donner des statistiques et petithobbit te répondra sûrement sur le sujet.
Selon mes goûts à moi, la fin d'août et le mois de septembre c'est la meilleure période pour la température. J'adore le Québec en septembre et aussi en octobre.
Habituellement les journées sont ensoleillées et dorées. Et pas trop chaudes comme c'est le cas l'été.
Plutôt que d'aller dans l'Ouest après tout n'avez qu'une semaine j'opterai plutôt pour l'Estrie - le soleil est particulièrement doré en Estrie et c'est plein de couleurs.
Je ne m'attendais pas à avoir des retours aussi rapidement. C'est super sympa!!!!

C'est vrai qu'août et septembre sont intéressants côté température, et septembre, surtout sur la fin du mois, offre en prime le spectacle des arbres tout colorés.
MAIS: comme vous mentionnez un sérieux problème de santé qui vous rend tributaire de l'humidité ambiante, j'aimerais vous souligner que la ville de Québec, s'il est vrai qu'il y fait plus frais qu'à Montréal, est située carrément aux abords du fleuve St-Laurent. Les gens qui nous visitent en provenance de la Côte-Nord, et même de Drummondville! (à 150 km d'ici mais dans les terres), font des remarques sur notre humidité. Quand on vit ici et qu'on n'a pas de problème de santé agravé par l'humidité, on ne s'en rend même plus compte, mais pour les visiteurs c'est autre chose.
Peut-être jugerez-vous bon de reconsidérer la durée de votre séjour à Québec même. Effectivement l'Estrie serait une autre solution fort agréable, à plus forte raison si vous venez à l'époque des couleurs.
N'étant pas devin, j'ai un peu de difficulté à te répondre... Si on se fie à ce que nous avons connu depuis quelques semaines, le temps devrait être idéal pour venir y faire un saut.
En terminant, sur une note humoristique, le commentateur météo nous disait, hier, '' Claire ce soir, Nicole demain''.

Fin août/début septembre, à Québec, c'est modérément chaud et assez pluvieux (j'y ai vécu plusieurs années).
Les moyennes tournent à 10/11 °C le matin et 21/22 °C l'après-midi. Mais on peut frôler le 0 °C comme dépasser les 30 °C (comme l'an dernier).
Enfin, il ne faut pas perdre de vue que septembre est le mois le plus pluvieux de l'année dans la majeure partie du Québec, devant juillet et août.
Maintenant, cela fait quelques années que les mois de septembre sont anormalement chauds, secs et ensoleillés. Mais cela ne veut pas dire que c'est la norme et que cela va durer.

C'est malgré tout une agréable période, avec les premières fraîcheurs matinales et encore de belles journées.
De toute façon, il n'existe aucune saison véritablement sèche dans l'est du Canada, et encore moins l'été. Pour cela, il faut aller dans le sud de l'Alberta, de la Saskatchewan ou de la Colombie-Britannique.
Et sinon je peux vous demander quelque chose encore?: quel temps fait-il actuellement SVP? Il fait humide en ce moment-même à Québec? J'ai beau regarder sur meteomedia, c'est difficile à savoir s'il fait humide ou pas....

C'est un peu plus frais depuis quelques jours, et modérément humide.
Si vous avez des problèmes avec l'humidité, vous savez peut-être que le point de rosée est plus important que l'humidité relative.
Quand celui-ci est au-dessus de 18° (et encore plus au-dessus de 20/22°), on peut considérer que c'est très humide, et ce quelle que soit la température qu'il fait.
Québec est très agréable fin août... Dans les 20°c. Mais les soirées peuvent être fraîches, et début septembre, la pluie peut surprendre.
Le mois de septembre est magnifique... C'est l'été indien... N'hésites pas à visiter le Parc du Cap Tourmente, pas loin de Québec.... Les couleurs y sont sublimes ! 😎

Le problème, c'est que nous vivons l' "été des Indiens" depuis oh, quelques siècles, mais que les Européens le confondent avec la période de coloration des feuillus. Probablement en partie à cause de la chanson de Joe Dassin, et sûrement à cause des voyagistes qui leur vendent des vacances correspondant à cette période de l'année.

The simple reason was that the tour was on a motor-free canoe—we made no noise, so the immersion was total.

I’ve planned a three-week itinerary for this summer, from August 9 to 27, in Sri Lanka:
Negombo – 1 night
Sigiriya and the Cultural Triangle – 4 nights
Kandy – 2 nights
Ella – 3 nights
Tangalle – 6 nights
Colombo Airport – 1 night
I know this isn’t the ideal time for the south since the beach conditions aren’t great, but we’ve booked a hotel with a pool and won’t be swimming in the sea. We want to relax after all the travel since we’re bringing our two kids, aged 6 and 8.
I know the east would be better, but (i) I’m struggling to find suitable accommodation, and (ii) it adds a lot of travel time, and my kids can only handle about 3 hours at a stretch.
I looked into Arugam Bay, but it’s a 7-hour trip back to Colombo from there.
I’ve checked every weather site imaginable, but they don’t all agree. Do you think we’ll spend our whole trip in the rain, or is the monsoon in the south mostly limited to the sea, as I’ve read?
I’m worried about ending up in the middle of a natural disaster with my two young kids, given recent events.

We’re more drawn to the Andes, exploring colonial cities, typical villages, markets, and a bit of the coast. We’ve already gotten a taste of this in Bolivia, Colombia, and Chile. Plus, we’d love to do part of it by car since we’re used to driving at our own pace and stopping whenever we feel like it. Anyway, time’s running out, and I need to decide so I can finalize a route and book the tickets!!

Just giving you the quick context: A group of friends and I are planning a trip to South Korea (Seoul/Busan) at the end of June/July next year. It falls right in the middle of the monsoon season, but we don’t really have other availability options.😕
I’d love to hear from people who’ve visited the country and these cities during this period—basically, is it not as bad as it sounds, or should we just cancel our tickets (we don’t mind the heat, it’s mostly the rain that scares us).
I know there are plenty of indoor activities, but do you think we’ll still manage to get a few sunny days, or will it be torrential rain for our entire 2-week trip?
The only other country we’ve visited during the rainy season is Brazil (in the northeast) around the same time, and honestly, aside from a few really annoying downpours, we had sunshine most of the time and it was awesome. That said, the climate is totally different, so I’m not sure how relevant the comparison is.

Not sure if guidebooks, agencies, and other tour operators are keeping up by changing their visiting hours and offerings.
Personally, I see a promising opportunity here—jumping on this adaptation to extreme climates before others do, since they’re inevitably coming.
From my own travel experience, I’ve met a few guides so far who are starting to adjust, like in Egypt, Kenya, Senegal, and elsewhere.
They avoid crowds and the hottest hours by starting their tours around 6–7 AM, when it’s cooler.
Yeah, you’ve gotta wake up early, but the payoff is so worth it. 😴
If you’ve got any great tips like this, why not discuss them in this thread and share addresses or websites where the people in charge have realized climate change is real and are adapting? 😊
