Je m'apprête à partir aux Philippines pour 7 mois pour mon stage de fin d'études...
C'est la première fois que je pars si loin et si longtemps. J'ai vraiment hâte de découvrir ce pays mais cela est assez impressionnant tout de même.
Je voulais savoir si quelqu'un sait si il me faut absolument un permis de travail pour un stage. Je me demande aussi si il faut que je choisisse un visa touristique ou affaires?

Je viens d'avoir l'ambassade des Philippines à Paris; ils me parlent d'un visa d'études alors je sais pas trop... Sachant que j'avais déjà appelé un organisme pour les visas qui m'avait dit de prendre un visa affaires...
En fait je vais faire un stage de fin d'études de Master Management de l'hôtellerie.
Donc c'est un stage dans un hôtel de Manille. Ils ne s'occupent de rien, ça serait trop beau!!
Visa touriste, automatique 21 jours et renouvelable presque ad libitum ( 2 ans)
Et pour le job, tu es " consultant" et personne ne te demandera rien....dans un hôtel!

Visa: tu ne peux probablement pas avoir de visa etudiant vu que tu ne viens pas etudier... Le plus simple est un visa touriste, comme indique dans les messages precedents. Le prix total pour les 7 mois doit etre aux alentours de 300 euros.
Verifie avec ta mutuelle etudiante que tu as une bonne couverture maladie lors de ton stage aux Philippines.

Je vais prendre un visa touristique, à l'unanimité, c'est ce qu'il y a de mieux!!
par contre j'ai vu sur un site qu'il y avait besoin pour ce visa des 3 dernières fiches de paye (j'en ai pas naturellement) ou des 3 derniers relevés de compte (étant étudiante, ils ne sont pas faramineux...) Faut-il avoir un certaine somme???
Tu viens sans visa. A l'aéroport tu reçois un visa automatique de 21 jours. Puis avant cette échéance, tu vas au bureau de l' immigration à Manille et on te rend un visa de 38 jours. Puis à chaque fois, une visite à l' Immigration Office et on te renouvelle de 59 jours en 59 jours...
Cela n'est pas vraiment gratuit, compte 3000 pesos par renouvellement et encore 3500 pesos pour une bête carte plastifiée après la première période de 59 jours.
Mais attention à ceci :
Lors de l'embarquement, il est possible et même probable que la compagnie aérienne te demande un billet d'avion qui te permette de quitter les Philippines à l' issue de ton visa, soit 21 jours. Si tu ne peux prouver ta capacité à quitter le pays à cette date, ils te refuseront l'embarquement. Donc un billet de retour pour six mois plus tard ne sera pas pris en compte!!
IL existe une parade simple pour éviter cela, décrite maintes fois sur ce forum: il suffit d'acheter sur internet un billet CLARKE-KOTA KINABALU au prix le moins cher que tu trouveras ( entre 25 et 60 euros) dans cette période de 21 jours. Ce billet ne sera pas utilisé, mais te servira de " laisser-passer" pour l'embarquement en France.

pour mon stage, j'ai contacté l'ambassade française de manille et ils m'ont donné les contacts d'écoles hôtelières. ça a marché avec une: ils avaient besoin d'un mi-temps pour le marketing du restaurant d'application, et ils m'ont trouvé un autre mi-temps dans un de leur hotel partenaire.
Je pourrais te donner les contacts sans problème. juste un point: pas la peine de t'y prendre maintenant pour 2013, ici tout se fait relativement au dernier moment.
et ne t'inquiètes pas s'ils sont très longs a répondre, c'est comme ça que ça marche ici! c'est d'ailleur assez chiant, mais c'est comme ça!
pour le logement: je suis logée par l'école, j'ai un ptit bout d'appart, c'est cool!

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
