Je viens d'accepter un VIE d'un an aux Philippines et je débarque à Manille le 1er septembre !
Je n'ai jamais vécu ailleurs qu'en France plus d'une ou deux semaines : c'est donc une grande première pour moi et les questions se bousculent ! Je suis évidemment très excité par le challenge professionnel et cette nouvelle expérience de vie, et si vous aviez quelques minutes à me consacrer, ça serait très sympa. :)
En vrac (très très en vrac...) :
1/ je débarque avec mon chien. Quelqu'un connait-il les formalités administratives ? De ce que j'ai lu, aucun danger si le chien est en règle ; il sera même dispensé de la quarantaine : est-ce exact ?
J'ai la chance que ma boite me paie l'hôtel tant que je n'ai pas trouvé de logement : les hôtels acceptent-ils les chiens en général aux Philippines ? La question peut paraitre incongrue mais par exemple, ça n'a rien d'évident en Espagne...
De manière générale, le chien sera-t-il heureux là-bas ? Selon l'endroit, peut-on trouver facilement des espaces verts ?
2/ concernant les transports. Même si j'ai cru comprendre que la circulation était odieuse à Manille, j'aimerais disposer de mon propre véhicule pour être libre de mes mouvements. Comment cela se passe-t-il ? Un permis à passer ? Quel est le prix d'une voiture d'occasion ? Quelle est la meilleure option à retenir pour ne pas y passer tout mon budget ?
3/ concernant le logement. Me conseillez-vous de vivre près de mon lieu de travail dans le quartier de Makati ? J'ai commencé à regarder quelques annonces d'appartements meublés mais Makati semble vraiment bien plus cher qu'ailleurs... Quel autre quartier serait viable pour quelqu'un souhaitant être proche de son boulot (pas de souci si je dois faire 30 min max de trajet en transport en commun ou véhicule perso), et qui apprécie le calme, la propreté, et la proximité de lieux de vie ? (budget 500/600€ max)
2/ tu peux faire transcrire ton permis français en permis philippin, il suffit d'aller au LTO.
Prix d'une voiture d'occase: comme partout c'est très variable. Le problème c'est que les Philippins n'ont généralement pas le budget pour entretenir correctement leur voiture et avec le climat et l'état des routes ici, les voitures souffrent. En dessous de 250 000/300 000 tu as de grandes chances de te retrouver avec des réparations coûteuses à faire dans l'année. Tu peux essayer de regarder les voitures vendues par des expats, ça te donne quelques garanties de plus sur l'état du véhicule (quoi que...).
A mon avis le mieux est d’être suffisamment bien placé par rapport à ton boulot pour y aller en transports en commun ou à pied. Les autres déplacements tu les fais en taxi, financièrement ce sera le plus avantageux.
3/ Oui, installe toi le plus près possible de ton boulot: les transports au quotidien ça peut vraiment être l'enfer. Tu peux aussi regarder le long des lignes de MRT/LRT s'il y a une station près de ton boulot. Si tu as besoin d'espaces verts pour ton chien tu peux regarder vers Salcedo park. Sinon beaucoup de gens promènent leurs chien à Bonifacio High Street. Les logements sont un poil moins cher que Makati, tu es à 10 minutes de greenbelt en voiture et le quartier est plutôt agréable. 500/600 euros tu peux trouver du meublé dans un condo haut de gamme avec piscine sans problème que ce soit à Makati ou à Fort Bonifacio. Tous les prix que tu vois sur le net sont négociables d'au minimum 10-15%.
Les choses avancent et je décollerai bien le 1er septembre de Paris pour Manille. Je logerai dans un hôtel pendant deux semaines le temps de trouver un logement.
Sais-tu si deux semaines seront suffisantes pour cela ? Y a-t-il des formalités administratives/pratiques à accomplir que je pourrais anticiper ? Concernant l'hôtel, je vais devoir en trouver un qui accepte les chiens. Si tu as une adress près de Makati, n'hésite pas, sinon j'imagine que je devrais trouver facilement sur n'importe quel site de voyage.
Deux semaines c'est largement suffisant, j'ai trouvé mon premier appart en arrivant en 3 jours...
Sorry, pas d'idée pour les hôtels qui acceptent les chiens...
