J'ai par la suite decidé apres mure reflexion d'essayer d'aller faire une année sabbatique la bas, jaimerais donc savoir si d'autres l'ont fait, pour m'aider en ce qui concerne les prix moyens, les loyers, les salaires, le prix des forfaits mobiles, les depenses moyennes mensuelles, les moyen de trouver un travail, etc.. Bon, on va essayer de t'aider....
les prix moyens : prix moyens de quoi? ... Un transport en tuk tuk, que tu sois thai ou farang c'est du pareil au même...200 baht...c'est ça que tu veux savoir?
Les loyers ça peut aller de 3000 à 4000 baht si tu partages ta piaule à "très cher" si tu décides de loger dans un condominium "attrappe-touriste" (les prix ne comprennent pas l'électricité qui est à payer à part)
les depenses moyennes mensuelles : je dirai entre 10'000 et 50'000 baht, selon ton rhytme de vie quoi!
les moyen de trouver un travail : j'ai une triste nouvelle à t'annoncer. Les étranger ne peuvent pas exercer n'importe quelle activité... En deux mots, si tu ne parles pas le thai et anglais, il te sera très, mais très difficile de te trouver un employeur... Je te suggère d'ammener ton pognon avec toi et d'ouvrir une guest house comme le font la plupart des "Farangs"...
le prix des forfaits mobiles : pas besoin de forfait mobile, faut juste avoir une sim prépayée...
si t'as besoin d'autres précisions, fait-le savoir...

Quand j'avais 18 ans, j'ai plaqué l'Europe pour me tirer à Tahiti: un rêve de gosse que je voulais absolument réaliser avant qu'il soit trop tard. Mes voyages m'ont finalement mené à Phuket où je vis depuis presque 15 ans. Ta démarche m'est donc fort sympathique et me rappelle mes années de folie.
Je te conseille de t'adresser à une école enseignant le thaï aux étrangers. Pour 25.000 Bahts, tu as droit à 1 an de cours et au permis de séjour d'1 an pour étudiant. Jette un oeil sur le forum, le mode d'emploi est expliqué quelque part. Ca te permet en outre d'apprendre quelque chose pour éviter de glander dans les bars et autres attrape-pigeons.
Dans des coins comme Chalong, tu peux trouver des studios meublés à 15.000-17.000 Bahts/mois et si tu cherches un peu plus profondément une fois sur place, des petites maisons thaï-thaïes à 5.000-10.000 Bahts/mois (eau et électricité en plus, sommairement meublées ou pas meublées du tout).
Pour bosser, laisse tomber. C'est un vrai casse-tête pour y arriver et les salaires sont minables. Quant à bosser sans permis de travail (même comme bénévole), c'est le meilleur moyen pour te retrouver en tôle et te faire expulser.
Je pense qu'il serait plus amusant pour toi de visiter toute l'Asie du Sud-est en une année ! Ne reste pas simple à Phuket ! Laos, Cambodge, Thailande, Vietnam, Malaisie sont à très proche !
